Great indoor venue…read more Tons of parking and lots of nearby restaurants to fuel up afterward. They have membership options which are well worth it if you live nearby and play frequently. This gives you half off court fees and open play fees. More importantly, it allows you to register earlier than non-members. I am not a member and I saw that the registration for open play filled up before it even became available for non-members. Luckily, there were cancellations so I was able to get a spot to try out the courts. The open play is pretty high level play. I would say that the average play was about 3.5. I enjoyed the competitive but good spirited players who I competed with. There are 6 courts and it is a four on-four off rotation with paddles stacked on the fence. The courts had lots of space for ATP and Ernie's. I also thought it was hilarious that most of the advertisements and sponsors on the walls were for physical therapists and senior homes. That's pickleball in a nutshell! Hopefully will get the chance to drop by again.

What differentiates PickleBallerz is that it is a community of players who are respectful and appreciative of one another while maintaining the competitive fun. There have been weddings, birthdays, memorials, fundraisers, baby showers, Toys for Tots events that build upon the sense of belonging to something bigger than PB.

I played pickleball for the first time ever. After seeing a court pop up at one of my favorite…read morerestaurants and then hearing so many friends talk about it, a friend invited me out for some games! I was intrigued to see this giant facility dedicated to playing pickleball. There were several courts, and they even have foozball and ping ping. They have a store with all of the necessities, including paddles, balls, clothes, and more. And you can either rent a court or become a member and just drop in. I am a casual tennis player, and I have always heard pickleball is easier. I was intrigued to observe all the differences -- such as the ball, which is a slightly heavier wiffle ball. It was nice that each court there provided their own. Pickleball courts are noticeably smaller than tennis courts, and playing with paddles sure does feel different than racquets. The scoring system can be a little confusing, and the order to which the players serve is a bit of a learning curve, but I managed to pick it up. It's a lot to explain! I got a great workout in, and I thought the facility was maintained well. Just a few critiques -- it'd be nice for the numbers of the courts to be a bit more visible or have more signage, and higher fencing to reduce balls going over to other courts. But then again, we were mostly beginners, so maybe once we improve we won't make as many mistakes haha.

The facilities are quite nice and they looked like they had a climbing wall though no one was using it. If you also needed a break from pickleball, then they also have a section with foosball, ping pong, and picnic tables to just relax. It is a bit tucked away in an industrial looking area and the parking lot spots definitely had a couple of rivets. The inside is so nice, warm, and cozy. Great especially during these winter months when the suns going down earlier and the weather is getting colder.

Front Staff is still friendly and great, but gym has been on a decline for past 2-3months. Machines…read morehave been broke for over a month with no repair and the culture here has a lot of people not following simple rules, such as slamming your weights (which is why the machines keep breaking, having full business calls while sitting on a machine, re-racking etc). I come everyday and never see staff monitor the floor. The trainers are down here, but I'm assuming it's not their responsibility. With no one monitoring and getting rid/or giving warnings to the disrespectful gym members, machines will keep breaking. Hopefully they turn it around, really have enjoyed this gym.

World Gate has been my main gym for at least 3 years now. It's not the cheapest gym I could go to…read morebut for all the facilities and options offered plus the proximity to me, I cannot find another. The membership price is reasonable considering all of the facilities. However, it's not reasonable if you don't use all the facilities! Sometimes, I feel like I'm paying for some stuff I'm never interested in using - like the racketball rooms, the spa, yoga classes, dance classes, etc. There's another gym that's like 2 minutes away from me and costs like 50% of World Gate but they don't have a sauna which is essential to me. The facilities that I use regularly are the weight room, the sauna, and showers. I do like having the ability to swim sometimes if I want to. World Gate has a lot of options. I don't enjoy the price I'm paying but I also do not see another gym with all my non-essentials at a better price so I continue to go here. What's missing though is the actual cold plunges - not cryotherapy chairs. If they can manage that, I'd not be complaining about my membership price. I'd have everything I need.
