Hadn't been to Pickleman's in a while so we thought we would give it another try. Pickleman's is like a Subway, Jersey, Mike's, or Jimmy John's. But much better in our opinion! You order at a counter and they bring your food to the table. At the counter, you tell them what you want on your sub sandwiches or pizza. We like their thin crust pizza. We ordered the pepperoni and sausage. It is $13.99. We have always liked the crust in the past. However, today, it was not quite cooked on the bottom. It was extremely soft and a little doughy. Since we haven't been in a while, we don't know if they have changed their process or if the oven was just a little off today. We have leftovers so we are hoping it will crisp up in the air fryer tomorrow. The staff was nice and helpful. Very friendly and professional. Our food was delivered promptly and our bill was accurate. The atmosphere is bright and vibrant. The tables were all clean and the napkins and supplies were well stocked. They serve Coke product, which we love! We mentioned the issue about the crust to our server. She was very nice and said she would check into it. We will definitely return again. read more

Stopped here late night for a couple sandwiches. Service was friendly. Order the turkey club and Italian beef. They start the sandwiches on one side of the toaster and finish on the other, like some other sandwich shops. Also, got some tomato soup. The sandwiches were good, a little pricey, but on par with most other sandwich shops. The soup was a bit over priced for the portion size, but it was thick and creamy. Great little spot for lunch! The dining area and bathrooms were spotless and staff were all really friendly. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad and asked for extra buffalo sauce (they did not disappoint). It was a great portion size, had large chicken pieces, and I ended up only using the buffalo sauce as my dressing instead of the ranch. My husband got the turkey bacon club and he really enjoyed his sandwich. He occasionally dipped bites into my ranch, so we recommend getting a side of that because it paired perfectly. We had stopped in here for a late lunch after dropping off our dogs to my sister/BIL's house before we hopped on the interstate for a little weekend getaway. It's really easily to get to and is located close to Costco, so we also filled up with gas before heading out. I can understand training new staff causing problems but the food wasn't even particularly good. Coupled with training staff who couldn't manage a single sandwich order and a dirty restaurant and I definitely would not come back. The veggie pizza has an unusual taste. Probably the giardinarra. The chicken salad was flavorless and had some kind of mushy fruit in it. The Italian was decent, as was the Mac and cheese. Always a very good option for a very good sandwich. It is not quite a full-blown chain, but there are a number of locations around that make it easier to find the nut. The spot has always been very clean, the staff has always been very nice and polite, and I like the variety of options presented on the menus. I haven't found one that I really dislike at all. We stopped in for lunch. Seemed like pretty busy place but there was no line to order and no sign of directions to order. Everyone just leaned up against the counter. The menu board was behind the preparation station and difficult to read/understand. The person preparing orders also took orders. I ordered an Italian stacked sandwich. My husband ordered a Cobb salad I asked for no mayo. The customer "kind of" follows the sandwich. They put it through an oven. When my sandwich , I thought, came out the sandwich finisher started to put mayo on it. Turns out the lady before me ordered the same sandwich and wanted mayo. Oops, problem with ordering system. My husbands salad was 1/2 boiled-egg, some bacon pieces, brownish avocado and mostly croutons. (I asked if he thought he should return it and get something else. He chose no to do so.) The sandwich was ok. I expect spicier meat and a more Italian flavor. The sandwich didn't have it. The bread was ok nothing special. I don't know if I was supposed to get chips. A lady saw us sit down and mentioned that I might not know it but I was entitled to chips. We were on our way to Ruoff and were planning on getting sandwiches. We saw this on the way and decided to grab sandwiches from somewhere we've never been to. Overall, the sandwich was good, but I think there could be improvements on the process. So they have the 'normal' toppings based on the sandwich you choose (ie. Some say 'lettuce tomato onion'), but you have to let the person making the sandwich know that you want those same toppings (plus any additional you want). Some have a surcharge so watch for those, especially for ones that you don't expect at other sandwich shops. FYI - The giardiniera is not hot (I should've realized this). I'm from Chicago and usually it's always hot, but I know now that giardiniera is just pickled veggies, not necessarily hot/spicy. I'll remember this now since it's happened to me at another sandwich shop (haha). But the people making the sandwiches looked distressed with the many online orders + in-store orders. And bagging was a mess - couldn't tell which sandwich goes in which bag and a little bit stingy on the toppings. And my sandwich had lettuce fallen out to the side and they just wrapped up anyways. I have been to this Pickleman's four times since discovering this little gem. The people are nice and the food is amazing. The last time I went however there was a complete communication breakdown! I asked for the number 11 Italian sandwich on white bread. By the time I realized the guy had picked up the Italian Beef I felt I could not correct him! I thought maybe this is a happy accident and I will find a new favorite sandwich. Nope! The Italian with Italian meats is better and if you put on the oil and vinegar with regular mustard you will not be disappointed!! Stopped in for lunch for the first time and ordered the full size smokehouse stack sandwich. This was pulled pork, bacon, onion, lettuce and chipotle ranch. I felt like the sandwich was very skimpy on filling as well as lacking flavor. The pork was so dry, and I couldn't really tell if there was much of a sauce on it either. The bacon was the type that is fatty and stringy, so I wound up taking it off because that grossed me out. The bread is good, and the people working there were very nice. Quick review - overpriced, service super slow but sandwich was tasty. First time trying here. I stopped for a mini before going to Costco as it was already past dinner time. Place isn't that big and line wasn't long, however they had a bunch of younger people working. I ordered a Cuban (my favorite) no changes to the standard on the menu. The guy putting on the toppings was incredibly slow and messed up my order by putting mayo on it. It was like 7 bucks after tax, which is a lot for the size of sandwich. It was however delicious. Only a week since they opened and you can tell they are trying to create a good experience for their guests. You order at the counter, they toast your sandwich, and then add the veggie toppings. They have sandwiches, salads, soups, and even pizza. And homemade chocolate chip cookies they bake in house! 4 stars - Veggie sandwich. It comes with extra provolone cheese, cucumbers, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I subbed out the mayo for their Asiago Cesar dressing. I also added giardineria to it. They even sell it jarred if you want it within arm's reach at home. The bread was the best part of the sandwich. It had a good crust. A french bread style almost. For a veggie sandwich, the avocado was a little light on this, as was the lettuce. But a good taste overall. 4 stars - Garlic cheese bread. I recommend eating this as soon as you get it. The cheese is melty and the bread is toasty. Only thing missing was the side of marinara. 5 stars - Friendly employees. The general manager rang up my order and he was so nice. He said their focus was on consistency and quality and I could see that they were aiming to create that experience as they were training their employees behind the counter. After driving by Pickleman's several times, today was the day I finally stopped in. I'm glad I did, bc this is definitely going to be my new go-to sandwich spot! The cornerstone in any place that hangs their hat in sandwiches is their bread. The bread here is delicious! I did the Italian Beef and it was fantastic. I felt like to portion was good. Not too much (like some other places) but not too little. Definitely a focus on quality over quantity here. The homemade lemonade was tasty, and their chips were great too with a few lots of options I don't often see. The inside is casual and clean. It's a walk up and order type service. When I told Preston it was my first time he was super helpful and even had some great recommendations for me to try. You could tell that he enjoyed the restaurant nd working there by the way he spoke. This for sure is a great lunch spot and seems like my kids would enjoy it too! I'd put this place in the upper echelon of sandwich stores. I don't think I'll be going to JJ's or Subway again anytime soon after knowing how close this place is to me. I've eaten here twice already, and I liked it a lot both times. They have lots of choices of sandwiches, which you can have cold or heated up. I like the Cafe Club, I think it's called. Turkey, ham, provolone. A side of gourmet chips and a drink for under $15. I think I want to try all the sandwiches on the menu. Next is either the Italian or the Cuban. They also have pizza, I didn't see any while I was there, it looks like people mostly order the sandwiches. They also have BBQ mac and cheese and other interesting stuff. And they cater. I received a nice email from the Head of Operations in Noblesville and confirmed my pick up date and time. I picked up the order today (the shop was spotless) and it was all ready and packed in a nice box and hot! There were pizzas, toasted sandwiches, salads, chips and cookies - more than I expected! As a pickle lover I was super excited when I drove past Picklemans and decided to try it out. Soups, salads, sandwiches and pizza. A nice selection but I came for pickles so I thought. The pickles aren't the star here and that was a little disappointing. I ordered the Italian beef with peppers and added cheese. The staff was friendly, I asked about a soup and they offered me a sample to try it. I did find it interesting that they didn't know the ingredients in the soup. After I ordered I went to find a seat and every table was dirty. They had many staff just standing around, I saw many guest cleaning tables so they could have somewhere to eat. The Italian beef was average at best maybe a little below. The au jus was really oily and lacked any flavor. The star of this visit was the spicy dill chips. The chips are so good so there's that. While the ingredients seemed to be of a decent quality, the flavor was lacking all the way around. In particular, the pulled pork on the smokehouse and the Cuban was dry and lacking in smoke flavor. The bacon and toppings were fresh and delicious as well. We got both broccoli cheese and tomato bisque soups and they were delicious. The cheese bread was good but I didn't care for all the Italian seasonings on top ( just a personal preference which I can have left off next time since they make it to order) in my opinion this sandwich shop is much better than the competition.
