Our waiter was not that attentive to our table, but I will say she had several tables to cover and its easy to overlook some customers if they are not trying to signal you for anything, except we were - we needed silverware to eat! Luckily another waiter was able to assist us. The food came out rather quickly. I had ordered a create your own omelet, that came with breakfast potatoes and pancakes. I also got a hibiscus mimosa that was so good, but a little on the strong side, so sip slow. The price of the food was reasonable and portions weren't bad at all. I had some leftovers to take home. I could've just drank the salsa by the glass. Guacamole- not to be redundant but again, some of the best we've ever had. Dinner: he got the chicken fajitas, it was a very generous portion, well season, cooked to perfection, great flavor, freshly made tortillas. I got the Asada tacos, these were outstanding, not greasy, cooked perfectly, salsa. Verde was delicious and the rice was fluffy and soft and flavorful. Highly recommend both dishes. I think Bocado is a newly opened place with lovely decor, spacious vibe, excellent food presentation. When we went in, we did not have any wait time despite being a Saturday. I knocked off a star because I don't prefer sweet in the morning and I don't do meat. I was struggling to find options which were just eggs or something that was premade. I had to go all in and customize my own omelettes and add my own toppings and sometimes that's not what you need on a Saturday where you're trying to customize and make your own recipe. Both drinks were delish. The tres leches coffee was divine, just the right amount of sweetness, and the Al Pastor was savory and smoky. We each order chilaquiles, but I opted for over easy eggs and my sister opted for poached eggs. You can truly never go wrong when ordering chilaquiles (except for the one time we did on a family trip in Asheville at a place that shall not be named). They were hot, savory, and the tortilla chips the perfect amount of soggy. I also loved the queso they had on the side of the plate. The avocados weren't the best presentation, but still tasted great. The beans were flavorful and I ate everything, but my sister doesn't like beans in general and skipped hers. We were greeted immediately and found the service to be friendly throughout our visit. To start, I had to try the Bocado Mimosa made with orange passion fruit which was delightful and delicious. For our meals, I chose the create your own omelet with breakfast potatoes and buttermilk pancakes as my sides. The omelet was served packed with my selected ingredients. I forgot to include cheese for my omelet when I placed the order, so later asked for a side of queso which was yummy for dipping the crispy breakfast potatoes. The pancakes were good, but would've been improved if served with room-temperature whipped butter instead of two small packets of cold butter. Hubby ordered the breakfast burrito made with sausage which he enjoyed with their fresh salsa. The portions were good size and we took home our leftovers. Speaking of, we were impressed with the quality of their to-go containers, which is always appreciated. Ambiance: We parked in the small open lot in front of the restaurant but there's a parking structure behind the restaurant that leads right up to the door if you need. We came here for Sun brunch around 1pm and got seated right away, it's a newer restaurant so hasn't really blown up yet. The atmosphere here is really nice with very tasteful lighting, nice neutral colors, and lots of different textures to keep things interesting. The staff are very friendly and will try to keep your drinks topped off with refills and such without you asking which is nice. Food: We got the quesa birria tacos, asada skillet, ceviche and a variety of drinks and enjoyed everything. The portions run on the smaller side so if you're a hungry boi you'll want to definitely get an appetizer or add a a la cart item. The food is high quality though with house-made tortillas and impeccable attention to textures from everything including the home fries to the tender birria. We were particularly blown away by the banana coffee which had an amazingly silky texture and excellent balance of flavors. Honestly, the ceviche was the only thing I wouldn't get again as it had seen sitting a little long and the shrimp had gotten a little tough (for those that don't know ceviche is shrimp that is "cooked" by citrus juice instead of heat). Overall our experience was great however our sever was kind of absent and very difficult to track down if we needed anything or even trying to get our check we spent about 30 mins waiting for her for us to ask for our check which took about 15 mins of waiting which was unfortunate. We were very understanding as we thought she was busy but the restaurant wasn't too busy and there were multiple server around.
