I always get half and half of the different chickens on my bowl. Customer service is great they will answer any questions and give you ways to try different things. One employee gave me a complimentary pita bread cut in pieces and eating it that way with my bowl was delicious. The inside of the place is very warm and welcoming. Brava, CAVA. I'm not usually impressed by these types of fast-casual, made-to-order, Chipotle-style restaurants. But my lunch was amazing, so I am now a CAVA convert and will probably be back many times. I ordered the Falafel Crunch bowl (two falafel, roasted vegetables, hummus, feta, pickled onions, pita crisps, lentils, rice, greens and skhug, which is a green cilantro-based sauce). The bowl is arranged so that there's a little bit of everything all around the bowl. As you eat, you uncover little surprises of flavor. There's a falafel! There's a little bit of hummus! There's a pickled onion! The bowl is delightful. I also like that they didn't bulk up the bowl with greens -- they just sprinkled them on top. My falafel bowl was so substantial that I only ate half for lunch, and ate the rest for dinner. And best of all: It held up in the refrigerator! You can never tell how well these kinds of bowls, with all kinds of different ingredients, hold up as leftovers. But the Falafel Crunch bowl passed the leftover test. I also got the hot harissa pita chips, which they made to order for me, so they were hot and crispy. These were amazing, and not at all spicy, even though they have "hot" in their name. They were soft yet crispy from being fried, and they almost (almost) reminded me of eating elephant ears -- the kind you get at the fair, except savory elephant ears with harissa on them. If that makes sense. It probably doesn't. CAVA opens at 10:45 a.m. What a random time to open, in my opinion! I only mention this because I thought they opened at the less random time of 10:30 a.m., but they don't and I had to wait 15 minutes on their patio. They have outdoor seating, by the way. read more

My husband and I finally tried CAVA after having it on our list for so long--and it did not disappoint! We ordered the Spicy Chicken & Avocado Bowl and the Spicy Lamb & Avocado Bowl. Both were incredibly flavorful, super filling, and left us totally satisfied. The staff was so kind and welcoming, especially when we mentioned it was our first time. They encouraged us to trust our taste buds and even offered samples if we wanted to try anything beforehand. I only sampled the vinaigrette--so good! One of my go-to favorite places for Mediterranean food. I've been a few times and each time I've tried a different bowl. The best one has been the garlicky chicken swarma bowl. Everything is flavorful and fresh. The pita chips are crispy and soft at the same time. Loved trying all the different soda and drink flavors as well. Service was a tad slow because they were prepping ingredients but it was good to have the time to read and review the menu because there's a lot of choices to make. New spot alert to Indy! I've had Cava before in Arizona and in Tennessee and always wondered when it would make it's way to Indy. It finally did! Yahtzee!! New to the Fishers area, across from Torchy's and neighbor to Kilwins ice cream shop (yum for another day). It was packed for a Saturday afternoon and the line was out the door, but the line moved fast. It took me about 15 mins to get through the line to order. I had a build a salad&grain bowl with chicken; added taziki sauce, feta cheese, cucumber and tomato, romaine lettuce, roasted veggies, and olives. I also got a free pita bread to go with my bowl and the refreshingly delicious strawberry citrus lemonade that is available for a limited time only. The inside of Cava is clean and has a simple modern flair. The menu is digital and screens do change. But you can't go wrong with the options from pitas to salads, to bowls. Very busy. It would probably continue to stay busy. I appreciate all the fresh options. I'll definitely be back to visit again. read more

Cava, here in our midst. It was a place I frequented living in California. The grains bowl is where I land nowadays. I like a mix of saffron rice, lentils, falafel, toppings, and sauces. The garlic sauce, green sauce, and harissa are my favorite toppers. The pita chips have an interesting uneven texture, crunchy, but then not crunchy in the middle. A bit oily for my taste too. For drinks, I like half pineapple apple mint and half cucumber mint lime. Ordering online and picking up at is easy as you go to their pick up area, find your name on a bag and go. The first Indiana location! I've been patiently waiting for this to open (and it does to the public on Friday March 14th) since having it in Chicago. This is a fast casual dining place (think chipotle, bobop, piada) that specializes in Mediterranean food as you build a bowl or pita. There are also options to choose a pre made bowl or pita but I would say the build your own style is the way to go. I did a build your own bowl (choose between rice or greens or both). The nice part is you can half and half your proteins! The spicy lamb is flavorful out of this world! They also offer a spicy lamb meatball that is new. They have super delicious sauces too- you'll want to come back and try a new combo each time. Highly suggest these - the tzatziki and the crazy feta but beware as they are very creamy though. All the topping are included choose from broccoli to tomato & cucumber, olives and more. There is also a dressing option after your toppings so make sure to not overload on the initial sauces to save room for dressings! Shout out to garlic dressing and the skhug! Each bowl comes with a side pita (you can say no) but iykyk definitely get the Pita Chips. The staff is all newly trained and really working on helping you figure out the system too. I love the garlicky tang to the skhug sauce and the slight heat to the harissa vinaigrette. All of the veggies that you can add on taste fresh, and the strawberry citrus drink was super refreshing. I've ordered pickup multiple times now, and they've always made my order accurately. The only find I will give is that there can be a bit of a traffic jam around the drink station. With the checkout counter, the to go orders, and some seating being so close by, there's not really enough room for two people to walk past each other. Would recommend half saffron basmati rice and half super greens Dips+Spreads: can choose 3 - The Harissa is a must if you like spicy - Crazy feta is what they are known for and is a super tasty, creamy and slightly spicy version of feta cheese Protein: - Harissa honey chicken was solid, but honestly didn't taste much different than the grilled chicken. The lamb looks really good and would try next time Toppings: - Personal preference for these but really liked the fire roasted corn and the tomato+onion Dressings: - Hot Harissa Vinaigrette was spicy and tangy. Perfect dressing - Lemon herb tahini was also tangy and delicious, would recommend. - Garlic dressing tasted more neutral rather than a strong garlic flavor. The pita chips and crazy feta as an appetizer is also a must. The pita chips are well fried, crunchy and really well seasoned. They also have a ton of fresh amazing drinks. I don't usually review chain/fast food restaurants, but since this is the first Cava in Indiana, I figured I could make an exception. Concept-wise, Cava is basically Chipotle with Greek food; but UNLIKE Chipotle, the vegetables are actually fresh, and they actually refill the ingredients. Unfortunately, the staff is basically the same as Chipotle. I know it's a newer restaurant and most of the workers are young adults, but based on my experience, it seemed like not a single person on staff had any clue what they were doing. If you are craving Cava but don't want to endure their less-than-stellar customer service, I recommend just ordering pickup or delivery. I couldn't believe how much I loved the food at Cava! I had a BYO Pita with steak, tzatziki, cucumbers, onions, and tomatoes. Everything was delicious and so fresh, but the real star of the show was the pita chips. I wasn't completely on board with paying extra for the pita chips, but after trying them, I would've paid way more than the asking price! They were so fluffy and were topped with a unique blend of seasoning. Most chips are merely a vessel for dips, but these chips stand out on their own! Finally, when you go to Cava, don't forget about the drinks! This isn't your average soda fountain: Cava serves "Maine and Root" brand drinks that come in unique flavors like black cherry, Mexican cola, and blueberry. However, my personal favorite is the strawberry citrus juice! It's their signature drink for a reason! To really elevate the flavor, I suggest adding a splash of the lime cucumber mint juice on top. If I was judging based just off of taste, Cava would have full marks. But due to their subpar service, I had to dock a star. read more

It's 77 degrees outside, and the temperature in the very stuffy restaurant was at least 85 degrees - waited two minutes in line and there was no way I could withstand waiting in line, waiting for my food eating inside. No A/C? Sad, because I have been to Cava in many other places, and love it and was looking forward to my first visit at the one here at home. The line was pretty long at lunch time (to be expected) yet it was easy to decide how to order based on the overhead menu options. The menu options described very well what was included for each bowl or dish. Today they were out of the steak which my daughter wanted, but she opted for honey chicken instead. I ordered the Spicy Lamb + Avocado (out of avocado ) yet I opted to add corn salsa. The Lamb meatballs were really spicy and perfectly seasoned. I love the yellow & Black logo quite attractive.
