I like Picnic pizza. They have good food and they deliver. I like their chicken subs a lot.

My family is old school Italian and we usually avoid eating anything Italian at restaurants because it's never as good as home. But picnic pizza is the huge exception. Excellent wood fired pizza. Perhaps the best wood fired pizza I've had (although it shames me to admit that I'm not particularly experienced with wood fired pizza). The disappointing thing about this place is that I lived in Kingston for four months, but never heard about this place until near the end of that tenure. Thus, I've eaten at Picnic Pizza just once. I TRAVEL 30 MIN FOR THIS PIZZA! I travel from Marlboro to Kingston for this pizza... It's ridiculous how I live in a town w almost 10 pizzerias in a 5 mile radius and nothing beats picnic pizza. I went to get wings today and there was a spider in my food so i called back and the guy was giving me a attitude as to why the spider was in there, which I dont know, I bought it from your establishment. Picnic is our go-to for Italian delivery. The pizza is absolutely wonderful and wood fired. The calzones and strombolis equally delicious. I'd give them four stars but for the rest of the menu, which is just ok. Pizza is their business, granted and they do it extremely well. This was a great find for me. Friendly owners and staff and the best pizza I have had in a long time. A wood fired oven can do a lot but you also have to have the right ingredients and technique and they do. I got delayed in traffic driving from Virginia to Vermont and decided to get a room for the night and the desk clerk recommended picnic pizza as the best around. I was skeptical having lived in NYC over 10 years and now in DC with a couple decent places. But you guys made my night I was actually dancing around my room with a slice singing a pizza song. Will defiantly make a point to stop anytime I'm passing buy. If you live local you should defiantly support a local business instead of a chain. My 2 cents read more

Pulled into the parking lot, and it was packed. After having two slices of Sicilian, I figured out why. The slices were delicious, sauce was great and just the right amount, not skimpy nor overflowing. They processed orders quickly, there was a line of 5 people ahead of me and it was done in 3 minutes. Went here for dinner with about 25 people after a wedding rehearsal. The food was good and came out quickly. Our server, Stephanie, was insanely on point. She was working alone at our table and provided better service than I have ever experienced, even in expensive 5 star restaurants. This woman deserves a raise and a metal! Another place that looks like a hole in the wall. You open the door and there is really nothing redeeming about the decor except for the pizza and the wood burning oven. It's a crap shoot. It could be amazing - it could be a saltine with ketchup. It was in the top ten pizzas of all time. At least east coast, NY pizza. I was just passing through for a friend's wedding and was staying in the Holiday Inn that it shares a parking lot with but I ate there twice in two days. I didn't have pizza from the wood burning oven. But they have one and they feed it with actual wood. I don't know the science of cooking it I just know they are seriously good at what they do and I would definitely go back when I am in the area. Chicago has horrible pizza. Just horrible. The pizza has always been good here, and worth stopping by. What is not is the atmosphere. I recently stopped in to grab a few slices to go, and while waiting to check out was witness to the casually sexist remark made towards the young waitress, of which I was included in. Her taking the moment to tell me I had something on my sternum (it was a small insect) turned into the casually lewd comment. In these times, to be able to feel safe in a place of business is everything, and this is a place that will not be receiving my business again. Absolutely fantastic pizza--I've only been there once, but my family still talks about wanting to drive up (from Long Island) just for their pies. We went on a suggestion from a local when we were buying some special musical equipment, and were shocked at how good it was. The guy running the place was extremely energetic and obviously pleased to have a group come in. He said he'd throw on some extra cheese on our plain pizza, and when it was done we demolished it in literally 5 minutes. Must have been planned, because he seemed ready to go with more pizzas. We ended up buying two more--one mushroom and one house special--and barely had anything left to take home (my brother had justified buying extra by saying we should get some for "leftovers"). It's not particularly saucy or flavor-packed, and certainly not greasy, but it was probably the best pizza I've ever had. Brick oven pizza! Closest and best pizza next to Kingston Camping World exit 19 off the thruway.

Pizza is great, but subs and wraps are even better. The wraps here are packed with their delicious ingredients, whether it be steak and cheese or buffalo chicken. The meatball sub was BETTER than homemade. The french fries are sometimes overcooked, but trust me, the food that comes with it makes up for it. Waitresses are very polite, check on you often, and don't leave you waiting on your food. The overall atmosphere is nice as well. I would recommend this to anyone! read more

The 2 star rating is based on the service, came here on a Friday night it's very chaotic. I came here with my wife a 2 children sat down a open table sat there approximately 5 mins was never approached by a waitress, so finally I stop one of them an asked do we get menus or do we go up to the counter an order, she told me we could go up to the counter if we wanted an then she walks away an takes another tables order. Was still eating an was asked if I wanted my check (literally pizza in my mouth).She was rude an clueless. As for the pizza it was really good, crust is very crispy. Well I just ordered from picnic pizza and the pizza was here within 35 minutes and once again cold. I feel they use a store pizza throw on my toppings and run it over to me, so sad. I believe this is it for picnic pizza. Going to stick with the De Bella's from this point forward, i'm not sure what happened but you guys just aren't cutting it anymore over it picnic pizza. Best. Gluten-free. Pizza. Ever! It's not advertised or even on the menu so you just have to ask for it. They were very accommodating when our group of 25 showed up without a reservation and helped us rearrange tables as other parties left. The waitresses were super sweet and did a great job figuring out which kid's bill went to which parents. My only complaints are that there was something sticky on the table, chairs, and floor when we sat down and that two out of the three pizzas ordered with no cheese came with cheese and had to be remade. Aside from that, the pizzas were absolutely delicious and the whole group enjoyed themselves. read more

I'm a regular lunch guest. I have a speech impediment so pointing to what I want and simple conversation is good. The two owners are like night and day the big one Is nicer the shorter big mouth one is the most rude person I've met. I decided to order a pie for delivery one night. The women couldn't deal with my stuttering so the rude mouth got on phone. Told me they didn't deliver to my area and hung up. I live less than three miles away and see their delivery car all the time. They lost a regular lunch patron and most of my coworkers business also. My speech problem doesn't bother them and they agree about the rudeness of the staff, it's not worth it folks. read more

I got very bad food poisoning after eating a half of a chicken ceasar salad wrap. I called the next day very politely just to let them know so they could fix the problem and no one else would have to suffer. My answer was, "Nah, Nah, You didn't get it from my food. No one else called to say they were sick." Very rude. He was the owner. I've been there many times before, but will never go back again. Maybe if he had been professional and said he would look into the problem (even if he didn't believe me) he wouldn't have lost all the potential customers I'm about to warn. Pizza was fine but the people that work there are a whole different story!! All the workers were so rude to each other. I had my kids with me and they constantly were cursing at each other. My daughter has a video if you are interested in the proof but at one point in the video the owner pushes one of the workers. So in my opinion it's a one star place!! Not happy!! read more

For me this is the best pizza in Kingston. Wood oven fired for extra flavor, thin crispy slices that actually have a decent amount of sauce on them and most of all - made by real Sicilians , yes , from Sicily and not south of the border trainees like most other pizzarias in the area. The strombolis and calzones are delicious as well. A remodel/clean up of the dining room would put this place over the top. read more
