Not too many specialty slices to choose from but the slices we did get were pretty good. No wow factor but hit the spot. Its baffling that in 2025 this business is still cash only..this in itself would be ok if there was an easily accessible atm in the store, however the past 5 times over the last year i have gone there they have been out of commission forcing me to walk to cvs down the road. This is a solid 3-star pizza joint, as long as you adjust your expectations. Your standard slice, or cheese or pepperoni pie, is perfectly serviceable. Same for the burgers, wings, and salads. Pick "specialty" pizzas or add extra toppings and you are looking at gooey, soggy dough or missing key ingredients. Prices have gone up over the years, but so has everywhere else. Cute and cozy place in the heart of Woodstock. Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff, and there was signage to warn that service may be slow due to staffing issues. Service was on the slower side for a late afternoon on a weekday, but we weren't in a rush and it was lovely to sit outside. The Brooklyn style pizza can be ordered by the slice or whole pizza, and plenty of options for toppings. Delicious and large slices. Came in to order some slices to go and loved the no-frills vibe of this place. There were ample choices of pizza slices available for purchase (even at around 9pm). This restaurant is good in person but everytime me or my family has gotten takeout or delivery something always goes wrong. Around a week ago I got a chicken Caesar salad for pickup. Juan was Awesome he was behind the bar but came out greeted us and had great conversation, Don't remember asking our waitress her name. But she was super friendly and provided quality service. The pizza was so tasty and looked amazing when it arrived. The crust was not super thin but a perfect thickness. Each size has enough for your crowd are dinner date. The small medium and large has enough slices so that everyone can have seconds. A young man named Damien was also working that night. A bright young polite young man. I chatted with him about school and peer pressure. Not knowing his parents were present that evening. After she introduced her self. We all chatted. After meeting his mother you realize where this kid got his amazing energy and spirit from. Tucked away in beautiful "upstate" New York, this restaurant offered a number of unique pizzas and craft beers. After a long hike for several hours only miles up the road, we found an outdoor table, ordered a round of sour beers and ordered several pizzas (a total of 3 for three hungry men). The pizza margherita was simple but tasty. It contained fresh mozzarella, pecorino romano cheese, crushed tomatoes and sliced roma tomatoes which you can easily appreciate. The crust was regular style, not too thin nor thick. Also ordered a few beers. The restaurant has an interesting "hybrid" style: order at the register, eat outside (or inside) and pick your drink. The beer selection was awesome! Included a few unique IPAs (Southern Tier IPA, Peak Organic IPA) and Pilsners (Lagunitas, Glutenberg). A great spot that overall feels quite "local." read more

First let me say I have had many meals at CMP, both inside, take out and delivery. I have never felt that a food review was warranted, the entrees and pizza were always enjoyable and appreciated. Tonight we ordered a couple of entrees, Marsala & Chicken Parm. This was not a delivery order or dine in but a pick up. Honestly this was absolutely a "Catastrophe", both in quality of food and arrogance of the employee at the register. Let's start with a simple salad that comes with the $60+ 2 entree meal. As ordered 2 salads with blue cheese dressing, well the salad delivered was one large, not 2 individual, ok that's fine. The blue cheese dressing was devoid of flavor and had no blue cheese flavor, as if none was added to the recipe, if they use recipes. When inquiring to the host who took our order, I was told " you had no crumbles, that's such a catastrophe" I politely asked if someone could check to see if it was made correctly. The condensation was not appropriate. The entrees were far from adequate, a chicken parm was so dry and pounded thin it had no discernible chicken and the dish did not even include cheese on the parm? The Marsala had 4 slices of mushrooms and was had no hint of Marsala wine or flavor in the sauce? In the past these dishes have been our favorites, I probably would not have written about this experience, had it not been for such an arrogant response from CMP. I do hope you all have a better experience and the chef or owners can possibly check the quality of what's being made and served, plus stress to the front end help to be understanding instead of displaying arrogance your customers. read more

Apparently this pizza place has some spectacular reviews from years past and, as a diverse group of individuals representing multiple areas of the country, we decided that pizza or pasta sounded like a grand way to end the evening. That we were wrong about that assumption was only the least of our experiences with Catskill Mountain Pizza. The parking situation with this restaurant is a joke. Trying to leave the parking lot is a danger to the oil pan of any vehicle smaller than a jacked-up monster truck full of backwater mountain strippers. In attempting to back into a parking spot, made nearly impossible by the lack of parking skills of the locals, we were polite enough to allow several vehicles to pass us by before starting our careful penetration into the space behind us. Suddenly a huge truck appeared out of the smell of mountain air and pot to block us in while the shriveled up woman behind the wheel berated our driver that we couldn't park next to the building itself--despite the lack of any intention to do so on our part. She appeared to be mentally deficient in reasoning skills to understand our explanation of trying to park in the open spot she was now blocking with her attitude and her truck. After negotiating the narrow space and finally making sure we wouldn't be a rage target by those parked adjacent to us, we made it inside. The bartender/waitress was attentive and helpful. Then we discovered that the crone of evil from the truck in the parking lot was an employee of Catskill Mountain Pizza! We were sure that she would be in the back spitting in our food. Worse, the food was inedible out of the kitchen. Not all of it, fortunately, but two of five meals (a Calzone and a Pizza Roll) were cold as ice. No joke. No exaggeration. Cold. As. Ice. It was only offset by the 80s soundtrack over the sound system that ironically was playing the Foreigner song of the same name. That should have been our warning. Of course, by the time Whitesnake's 'Heat of the Night' came on, the rest of the food was delivered and it was at least warm. The cold food was returned slightly heated up but finally edible. Barely. The rest of the food lacked in some way. The Chicken Picatta lacked flavor. The Manicoti (and the spaghetti dish) had a water puddle at the bottom of the dish. The bottled Ginger Beer was acceptable. By the time the bill came, they got that wrong too, but the waitress was wonderful to help us out and make sure that everything was right (with our bill, at least) by the end of the night. Overall, Catskill Mountain Pizza is to be avoided. While it is possible that this was an off night, the presence of a ghoul that roams the parking lot in an oversized truck accusingly pointing boney fingers at patrons before they can even get properly situated in the punchline of a parking lot turns this 2-star rating into a 1-star rating only because a negative 10-star rating isn't available. read more

This is one pizza joint that lives up to that typical 'NY Style Pizza'. It's not artisan or Neapolitan style or from my super favorite- Patsy's in East Harlem- but Catskill Mountain, can save you if you're craving a slice in a pinch. We're usually in and out but Mountain has large enough space where you can sit closer to the entrance, off to the right of the shop if you want to linger where it's quieter, or sit outside when the weather's warm. Menu is typical with Garlic Knots, Sandwiches-and my favorite Stewart's Cream Soda- plus more. You get classic toppings here but their White and Regular slices, do the trick for me every time. Service is at times cut and dry...but I try real hard to kind of move past that and enjoy my meal. This is a 3-1/2 for me. But bonus point though- for holding it down in the heart of Woodstock. read more

CMP provided ample outdoor seating which was lovely in September weather. They also offered some seating inside but not much. It was your typical pizza parlor that accepted cash only. But an on-site ATM was available. The pizza itself wasn't horrible but not great either. The best part of the whole experience was that one of the staff was very kind to our dog. She put out a water bowl for him and when she heard that he wasn't eating well on our trip, prepared a small meal of grilled chicken breast cubes, which he ate. All in all, if you're looking for cheap eats to tie you over until dinner this is a good choice. Another plus is they provide parking ! read more

My wife and I decided to spend the day in Woodstock. We love the small shops and numerous restaurants. We got tricked today . Most of the stores were closed. We learned many places close on Monday and Tuesday. So as we walked around we came upon this restaurant- one of few actually open. We were VERY pleasantly surprised. We were seated in the bar area where there were a bunch of obvious locals having pleasant conversations. The bar tender/waiter was very pleasant. He gave us menus- which contained many more choices than we expected. We studied and made our choices. I got a sausage hero and my wife ordered steamed clams - sautéed in garlic sauce. She had been talking about getting clams for over a week and was extremely happy this restaurant had them. Many such restaurants do not. We received our food and we were truly happy with our choices. The clams were prepared perfectly and the sausage hero was very tasty with enough spice to make them keep my attention. Both meals came with really fresh and tasty sesame Italian bread. This restaurant has basically no ambiance and is rather loud but the choices and food quality are so good it was easy to overlook the noise. We definitely recommend this restaurant for folks looking for plentiful choices and tasty food offerings. read more

What a neat spot in Woodstock! Only draw back is cash only, but they're very upfront about it and have an ATM in the building. Came here on a Friday night an dined in. I really love the old school pizza parlor feel, and really took me back to my childhood. They have a great selection of beers at a reasonable price, and the service was really great from getting our drinks, to getting our refills, and to packing up and paying. Decided on the supreme pizza, a real test of a place in my opinion. It was delicious! Crust, sauce and cheese ratio were perfect and the toppings were perfectly cooked and well distributed on the pizza. It was even delicious re-heating the next day! I've really tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt over the last year, but the are many reasons why you should skip this place. Here are just a few in no particular order. 1. The staff have never been friendly, or even remotely pleasant any of the 10 times I have been there. Today the cashier even had a shirt that said, "Ew, people". Maybe she's in the wrong line of work. 2. We were told there were no onions in a dish that ended up having onions. The issue is that my sister is highly allergic and was in the bathroom all night. 3. The pizza is OK but inconsistent. At dinner hour on a Thursday there wasn't much of a selection of slices and no speciality items ready. No calzones, pinwheels, or even garlic knots unless you special ordered, which would take 20 minutes. I've never seen a pizza place without garlic knots ready. 4. They are cash only, which these days with such low transaction fees to me can only mean they aren't claiming all their income. Every other business contributes to our community so it's dissapointing they opt not to. It's also a terrible inconvenience for customers and even dangerous with COVID. At first glance - this place looked cozy and quaint! they have really cute outdoor seating , (covid friendly, such crazy times LOL ) welcoming staff, and customers. This pizza - which was Brooklyn style - was absolutely - positively DELICIOUS!!! one thing though, the Guinness in a can was a tad flat - but i guess that's what i get for ordering a Guinness in a can!!!
