I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant since I moved to Canyon Country a few years ago. The food has always been good, and every employee I've interacted with until now has been friendly and courteous. On the evening of August 3, 2026, at around 7:30 p.m., I called to place a takeout order. I live just down the street, so I expected it would be a quick pickup. When someone answered, I was placed on hold. I could hear the employee helping another customer, and it became apparent that she had forgotten I was on the line. I waited for about six minutes before hanging up. I called back twice, but no one answered. On my third attempt, I believe the same employee answered. I politely explained that I had been left on hold and forgotten. Her only response was, "I had a lot of customers." I understood that she may have been busy, so I tried to be patient. She then told me they now close at 7:30 p.m. I asked why she hadn't simply told me that when she first answered the phone instead of leaving me on hold. Again, she replied, "I was busy," and the call ended. I called back because I wanted to explain that I had been a loyal customer for years and had never been treated this way. She claimed the call had accidentally disconnected, but when I expressed that I didn't believe that was the case, she hung up on me again. I considered coming into the restaurant to speak with someone in person, but I decided to leave this review instead. I understand that everyone has stressful days, especially in the restaurant industry, and one difficult interaction doesn't define an entire business. However, customers deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect, even during busy times. I sincerely hope the owner or manager sees this review and uses it as an opportunity to coach this employee on customer service. I've always had positive experiences here, and I hope this was simply an isolated incident rather than a reflection of how customers are treated going forward. read more

Their food is generally on point - tasty and delicious. However, on my last order the tacos were made with chicken instead of beef, which I don't eat. I had ordered on Uber Eats and called the restaurant to explain the error and asked if they could remake it. The person I spoke with was very polite, checked the order and acknowledged the error on their part. However, she also nicely said that here was "nothing they could do" since I had ordered on Uber Eats. She directed me to report it and reorder on the platform and assured me I could do so without any additional charges, such as the delivery and service fees, which is not accurate. My only recourse was a credit for the meal on Uber Eats, but I was out the extra fees they charge, including both the delivery and the service fee. And, I was without dinner. It was very disappointing. She was unwilling to do anything to remedy the error, even to remake it and offer for me to come pick it up. Very poor service on their part. read more

I had the beef tacos (asada), the grilled chicken taco made with white meat, and the crispy chicken taco with shredded white meat--and each one was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Six tacos with a tablespoon spoon size salsa cups. So nothing for the bag of chips included? First time trying Pico Rico and it was delicious! This place should have at least a 4 star so more people try it!! Our experience was 5 star. We ordered the shredded beef crispy taco combo, carne asada fries & the charbroiled asada burrito. Quality of food was top notch. On doordash we added some modifications (like sour cream) and they fulfilled our request. The charbroiled asada has such unique flavor. Pico Rico has the best carnitas tacos I've ever had. The customer service is always friendly towards me and they have amazing salsas! There isn't one I haven't enjoyed, but do wish they were a little spicer. I always order four tacos so I can have two for dinner and two for breakfast. The salsa Verde is the best for the carnitas. You can actually taste the orange in them!! So damn good! The chips are great as well. I definitely will have to branch out and try more things obviously, but I'll be sticking with the carnitas for now. I left my card accidentally in the credit card slot and what this idiots do is wait till I leave and they charge me from their credit again another 10 bucks on top of my order and then next day I get over 250 charges from O'REILLY auto parts. This idiots are so dumb that they charged me 10 bucks first then moved to O'REILLY (obviously it's someone who works at this useless taco spot). Those charges will be refunded to me but I hope the owner of this place sell this spot because as soon as I am done blasting them on local social media, this place will not stay in business too long. I tried so many times that at this point it's my fault... I really wanted to love this place. Mostly for the location as it is so conveniently close to me. Unfortunately, it keeps on failing my expectations. I order your typical burritos and tacos and they are OK. I really wish they were as tasty as I'd truly hoped every time I've gone in. Unfortunately that is not the case. I think the thing that set me off this last time is they really rationed the salsas you can get when you have a to go order. I've spent quite a lot of money each time and and when I ask for an extra salsas cup, I am told I will be charged. I know this sounds like I'm leaving there with a heap of salsas, but that is not the case... Besides the fact that the prices keep creeping up higher, I'd expect them to show a bit more love instead of the opposite. Since I am a sucker, I will probably try again and hope that my next experience tops all the other fails. This way I can update my review with one I hope puts this one to shame. read more

My favorite Mexican restaurant ever for the past 15 years or but a little pissy after tonight's or , my wife and I went in last minute just before closing and ordered our usual fajita burrito $12 bucks and the person who took our order took the wrapped burrito from the chef and said this is pretty small , the chef replied "it's fine " I said that is like half the size as they normally are and he shrugged it off and said it looks small because it's cut in half , then we get home and he put maybe 12-15 chips in the bottom of the bag .
