Steady stream of phone calls for takeout but my order was taken quickly We got asada, carnitas and al pastor tacos and a small rice and beans . They have two salsas a spicy red - it had great flavor but was very spicy and a flavorful green mild salsa I took a seat and waited for my order. There are several tables to sit at and A TV with soccer playing. My order was done fairly quickly and packed very well. The tacos were all labeled The tacos were stuffed with meat. Oh my god. GO HERE. Stop what you're doing, and go get a taco. Been to Mexico City and tried countless tacos, their Al Pastor tacos are on par with the best ones I've ever had. DELICIOUS!!! Stopped by El Pariente Mexican Food before a Frozen rehearsal since I needed a quick energy boost. It's a small spot, but Miguel made the experience--super friendly and welcoming. He offered samples of all the meats, which I really appreciated. After trying everything, I went with his recommendations: cabeza, carne asada, and al pastor. Great choices--all three tacos were delicious. They came with cucumber slices and a lemon wedge, and I went with the spicy sauce which had a solid kick, just how I like it. All I can say is Get the Carnitas! Try the others, but this is the moistest meat made in a traditional style that I've had in a long time. The place is small but they are fast. I get it as a taco (with the handmade tortillas), a burrito and a torta. All delicious! We order from here at least once a week. Wow! I knew coming in that the food was gonna be good but wow, it definitely exceeded expectations! We ordered Carnitas taco, Asada taco, Pastor taco, Pollo taco and Horchata. Honestly all of them are so good, it's very comparable to the experience I get when I have food truck tacos. I usually prefer food truck tacos because there's something magical about it, in comparison to restaurant tacos. So the fact that I have the same experience eating tacos here at this restaurant, says a lot about how good their tacos are. I did plan on taking photos, but we literally inhaled the food, we were done before I remember to take it. As for the horchata, it was nice and creamy. I did find it more milky compared to other horchatas. Overall I highly recommend this place if you're craving for some tacos. The service was great and the pricing was very good. I got the pollo (chicken) tacos which came w choice of salsa and some lemon/lime and cucumbers. I finished them so quickly, they were so good! My most favorite is the quesadillas I love the asada one but the chicken one is good too ... and I love how they give you cucumbers and a little salad with lettuce I put the lettuce in the middle of the quesadilla and fold it with some sour cream (no they don't have sour cream) and the mild sauce with a dap of the hotter one... cuz it's a little to hot for me .. n e ways enjoy and you can't beat the price either read more

Tacos: 5 chicken 5 alpastor 10 carnitas 1 fish burrito. All the tacos were soooooo good! The carnitas was my favorite. They add cilantro, onions, and red sauce on top. I get the red sauce on the side. Just dropped in today and ordered 20 along with two cheese , rice and bean burritos for the kid. The fish taco burrito was great. I'm just glad I don't need to drive to la any longer if I'm craving a good taco. Horchata is a good choice to was everything down! I recently moved into the neighborhood from Los Angeles and I've been on a LONG hunt for my New Mexican joint... thankfully El Pariente did not disappoint like so many other spots in the area. I went on a Saturday night and the place was decently packed, some people were even eating outside the bench. This wasn't a bother because I was planning to to-go my order anyways. Despite being fairly busy, my order only took around 10-15 minutes to prepare. I ordered a carne asada burrito, and assortment of Al pastor, lengua, buche, carne asada tacos. I think their "standout"meat is their carne asada and Al pastor. I also got buche and lengua, but I think I will pass on those next time as I didn't enjoy it very much (as a lengua and buche lover) Their burrito was probably my favorite. The rice in the burrito tasted so warm and fresh which was so pleasantly surprising because sometimes the rice in burritos are quite hard from sitting out for so long. Ps: beware! Their (red) hot sauce is ACTUALLY quite spicy!
