Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant experience one more time at this clinic. I stopped going because the people at the front desk accused me of ordering something I didn't. I asked to speak to the doctor, and they refused to call her. I picked up my glasses, one to work on my computer and the other to drive. I expected this person to know what she had to do. She said, and I quote, "You want this for sunglasses and the other ones for the computer." As the doctor's assistant, I expected she knew what she had to do, but she didn't. She had no idea what I needed and assumed I "wanted" sunglasses. Hence, I need them to drive at night, so where did she get that idea? I don't know. When I picked them up, I figured they were transition lenses, but they weren't. I called to ask why she had they done that way, and she just responded, "You asked for them." Doctor: I'm sorry your staff is incompetent; I didn't deserve to pay over $500 for something I didn't order. The worst part was that your staff refused to let me speak to you. Visited this office for the first time yesterday. The doctor's assistant who checked me in and performed the eye test was super nice as was the doctor. I switched vision offices because my previous doctor was visibly upset in front of his entire staff when I requested a copy of my prescription without purchasing glasses in his office last year when I visited. I didn't buy any glasses because my prescription didn't change from the year before, I just wanted a fresh copy! Well, this new doctor was great in every way. She was very friendly and explained what she was doing and how my eyes were doing without my asking. I've been a patient here for 3 years and I feel it's appropriate to finally give them their due. Although they are a small organization, they make it their mission to go above and beyond for their patients and customers. Aside from the always friendly and professional staff, they have (on multiple occasions) been willing to help with my prescription whether its a scratched lens, frames that needed adjustment, or making sure you get your new prescription in a timely fashion. My family and I have always gotten our glasses here, I've had good experiences up until today, recently I had accidentally broken my glasses and needed to get replaced, the thing is I live in Pomona .. therefore I asked my mother to do me the tiny favor in taking the glasses to see about a replacement and ask for the price of contacts since she lives closer to Pico, and my car has been having problems, so the front desk lady gave my mother a snarky attitude about my age ( yes I am over 18) and told my mom "I'm surprised she's not here" like okay??? Mind your business lady. Like I get it I am an adult but in the end you don't have to have an attitude over it you don't know what's going on in peoples lives dumbass. So after my mom told her about how my glasses broke etc, the lady asked about the other parts and my mom explained that we couldn't find them since we were out in public at a club and while dancing they got knocked off and they got stepped on and had trouble finding the other lens. With an attitude again she said "ugh I guess I'll have to order another lens" like why are u so bothered with doing YOUR JOB? after that my mom filled out "paperwork" (literally just half a sheet of paper) and my mom was so uncomfortable with that old woman's attitude she didn't even bother to ask about the contacts and left shortly after. It's so sad cause I love the doctor there she's always super nice but that front desk lady needs to do better or just simply retire hahaha. The office staff and doctor are great here. They did not have the glasses that I wanted but ordered them so that I could try them on. This was awesome! The main receptionist was rude. Gave her several times to turn her attitude around. She did not. When asked about blue light glasses, she rolled her eyes and throw her hands in the air as if I were a bother. We no longer will be doing business with them. Martha is always patient and helpful and extremely friendly. The office will make an attempt to work with financial issues and although they dont have a big selection of glasses they are able to acquire anything you want if you've found something outside of their selection. I went in on a Friday but I made an appointment about a week in advance. As a first time patient, I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised! The office was a lot bigger than what it appears to be and they had a much larger frame selection than my last optometrist. What I love about Yelp is that i'm able to let horrible service be known to the public. My husband got a scratch on his lenses, so we took then in for warranty repairs. His glasses were not returned back to him for over a month because, as informed by one of the assistants, they remained in the back office for a long time without ever being shipped to the lab. If you wear glasses, you'd know how miserable it is to be without them for a month. No apologies from the staff, just excuses. I'd wish this serviced on no one. I've worn glasses my whole life, I have really bad eyes, and I've had the same optometrist for the last 10 years. I wasn't too happy with my last visit at my old doctor's office, and a coworker recommended me to go there because his whole family goes here and loves it. When I went for my appointment, the doctor I had was Dr. Chen. She was so nice and professional during the exam, and made me feel very comfortable and I felt like she really cared about my eyes and my health. I'm the type that likes to ask questions when I go see my doctors, and I was VERY impressed that throughout the exam, Dr. Chen managed to answer most of the questions I had in my head just by her talking to me. She is definitely the best optometrist I've ever had, and I can't believe I waited this long to switch. I've had my new glasses for a few weeks now and don't have any problems. If you're not happy with your optometrist, go see Dr. Chen, you won't regret it. The people that work at the office are your typical workers at a doctor's office, nothing to write home about. I asked the front office assistance for a sample pair until my appointment and was told very rudely "No". Most Optometrists offer the same services so the office staff can make or break the experience. Office staff was rude and mean. I went to another Optometrist and had a much better experience.
