I walked out of the store just 10 minutes ago, and I've spent every one of those minutes regretting my purchase. These glasses are completely useless for me. I have a high prescription, so I paid over $100 extra to upgrade to 1.74 high-index lenses -- even after using my insurance, the total was still over $200. Yet the lenses are ridiculously thick and heavy, nothing like what I expected for 1.74. It is even thicker than my old one without any upgrade. I feel like I've been sold an "upgrade" that made no real difference. The doctor and staff were nice, but that doesn't change the fact that this product is garbage for the price I paid. I should take my money somewhere else -- this place will leave you with regret, not better vision. read more

I've been visiting this optometry yearly for about three years now. Dr. Masuda and his team are unmatched in quality, care and service. At my very first visit Dr. Masuda taught me so much about my about visual health, information I was never given at other optometrists and that's a huge part of the reason I return. NO stars! Zero! I was super disappointed how they treated my sister and mother. They showed such a careless behavior. Telling my sister she might have Glaucoma and showing no compassion, and then saying she might not, we need to refer you to the specialist...super confusing. Why would you lay this highly sensitive topic and then say we are not sure? Also they don't keep their word. Masuda promised to write a letter to my sisters Pediatrician so they can refer her to a specialist and when we went to her Doctor she had no idea and said the Optometrist did not write or let her know of my sisters situation. I showed up, he greets me at the door and says it's "appointment only". I told him I just called and you said you closed in an hour. He told me "well you asked me a question and I answered it" and walked away and closed the door. I called back to talk to a manager, Lenard answered I asked him why he was being rude and he hung up on me. I randomly chose this place from a list of optometrists and I'm glad I did. Dr. Masuda is very knowledgeable and he cares for his patients and even goes beyond his scope of work to make sure his patents are satisfied. He showed me a picture of the back of my eye and explained the purpose of all the tests he performed on my eye. If your DRY EYES and looking for a contact fitting, don't bother with this place. I've had dry eyes for a while now but worn contacts until I ran out about 8 months ago. I decided to give my eyes a break and wear my glasses. When I decided to go back to contacts I called here and was advised that they do dry eye/hard to fit contact fittings. When I arrived I was tested and asked questions about health/family health n told I have "severe dry eyes" I asked soooo what can I do or what are u recommending? He told me to drink more water and google searched (I'm not kidding) dry eye gels and told me to go to a target. After a good month of going back n forth with my insurance and given a second eye exam coverage to go elsewhere. Quaint little optometry, but well-equipped. I used to work in optometry and was grateful that I was given what I actually wanted/ needed. Ive been to various optometries and was always "pushed" to get add ons that I know are not necessary. That alone gives Dr. Masuda and her staff 5 stars. I was diagnosed with keratoconus on my left eye 10 years ago.I was never explained my condition and was given glasses to correct my right eye only. After being disappointed with 2 different Doctors I stopped checking my eyes. This past year I realized my vision was getting worse when I decided to come on Yelp and find a doctor. I have been seeing Dr. Masuda for over 25 years as a patient and I have to say his service is top notch with quality care whether you have annual visits or have a serious eye issue. I have had 2 eye issues in the past, (one of which was yesterday) that I deemed emergencies and he successfully treated both. My eyes are my life and it's nothing to mess with as I have had some awful incidents. He made time to see me immediately and put my mind at ease and prescribed the proper meds which successfully worked. He is a straight up kinda guy and through his comprehensive eye exams and equipment he can detect issues and as a retired law enforcement officer who respects honesty, integrity, and professionalism I will highly recommend Dr. Masuda for his expertise, as well as his long time assistant Leonard who handles everything from A to Z, ordering custom eyewear, including triming lenses in the backroom. They are both always busy, but they make time to address your issues and treat patients well and that's why he has so many longtime patients. I'd like to say that it's been a long while since I've bothered to write a review, but in this case it is definitely warranted. I was a first time patient and saw Dr. Masuda for a regular examination for eyeglasses. During the exam, Dr. Masuda discovered a retinal tear in one of my eyes and patiently explained what it meant for me and how it could get treated by a specialist. I would also need to get a referral from my provider to see the specialist, I mentioned that i actually had a morning appt with my primary care doctor and he said he would get the paperwork to her for my appointment. Later that evening he wasn't able to get a hold of the office so he could fax over the paperwork so he emailed me the necessary documents and even called me at 10:30 pm and left a message apologizing for the late call. How many doctors would bother to make such an effort late in the evening after a hard days work. I work in the healthcare field and i know the importance of patient satisfaction so i want to acknowledge Dr. Masuda's efforts and highly recommend Town Center Optometry. As a side note, his assistant was very kind and even put in a rush request for my eyeglasses so that i could have them at my follow-up appointment. read more
