My fiance hired him for a surprise proposal for me. While I really appreciate what my fiance did for me, this proposal's quality was pretty poor. Not so much in the execution. But mostly the professionalism of the photographer. While we were taking our proposal photos, he refused to listen to me when I said I didn't like one side of my face and strong armed us into taking photos his way. This made me not like the majority of photos. When we got the finished photos back, my skin was completely orange in most of them. While we had 55 photos, a big chunk of them needed severe editing. We only had maybe 3-5 usable photos. The photos we had taken by ourselves on an iPhone with strangers turned out to be better than the "professional" ones he took. To make matters worse, he repeatedly posted unflattering photos of us on his Instagram page even when we asked for them to be taken down. Most photographers will often post photos like this for their gallery, however they do give customer the discretion of choosing which photos look best. We had also asked for Vlad to edit these photos. However, he could not see what was actually wrong with them. Everyone on site was extremely professional, caring, and getting me the style I wanted. Weeks prior, Nafa set up a design consultation with me, it was so well done that everything exceeded my expectations on the day of photo shoot. I requested to have several flower belts and to wear certain fabrics, along with other props, and it was all 100% prepared. Our photographer, Ivona, showed tremendous passion on her job and captured some truly great moments. Her assistant, Anna, set up the studio so nicely and helped perfect the photo by tirelessly adjusting my hair, dress, and prop, to ensure perfection in every single picture. Nothing could have turned out so memorable without such a strong team. From my initial meeting with Mackenzie, I felt right at home. After I signed the contract, I dealt with Nikki who was an absolute sweetheart and professional. She emailed and called in a timely manner and made revisions to my schedule 100 times with a smile on her face! Then of course there was Nela, my photographer. I cannot speak highly enough of Nela. Nela arrived Thursday evening and got right to work after getting off the plane. She walked around the property scouting locations and met with me to discuss her ideas. I was blown away by her tenacity and dedication to her craft. She was studying, taking notes- a true professional. Nela and I walked around the property for around an hour, discussing the plan for the wedding day. Her professionalism didn't end there. My now husband, Max, HATES taking pictures. I know most grooms say that but he truly is the exception. I warned Nela and I don't think she even believed how difficult he was going to be. Max refused to take getting ready photos, complained about the heat, was angry the sun was in his eyes- you name it, he complained about it. Nela handled Max's opposition with ease. She struck a balance between being firm while also making him feel comfortable. She instructed me on what I needed to do so that we could get the best possible photos. She was incredibly successful at getting great shots, despite a very difficult client- a testament to her professionalism and personality. Further more, Nela was an energizer bunny and ninja rolled into a petite frame. She was running around for 8 hours getting every shot, no matter the angle. She braved the elements, heat and even rain with poise and grace. Not only was Nela beyond professional, she is a lovely person!!! For a destination wedding, this is key!!!!
