We got pink champagne and churro flavors. After the wedding, our top tier was packed with the flowers and was left in a bin for 2 days in the heat. Long story short our top tier was destroyed :(. Our wedding cake was something I was incredibly excited about, and unfortunately it ended up being one of the biggest disappointments of our day. The design we discussed and were shown was a spatula-lined, ripple-style cake with a true ombré effect, starting with a rich plum at the bottom and gradually fading through soft shades of purple into white at the top. What we received did not reflect that vision. The cake was a very dark plum throughout, the finish looked uneven, and the ombré effect was not present. My husband immediately noticed that it wasn't what we had asked for, and it was honestly upsetting to see something so different from what we expected. That said, the flavor was absolutely delicious and truly the saving grace. We chose a more unconventional flavor combination of lemon cake with blueberry compote, and it tasted incredible. Many of our guests commented on how good it was. While the cake tasted wonderful, the visual execution did not align with what was requested or shown during the design process. Given how meaningful the wedding cake is as both a focal point and photo moment, this was really disappointing for us. I wish the final design had more closely matched what we had discussed, but I do appreciate the quality of the flavor and baking itself. read more

The ordering was seamless and over the phone (knew what I wanted) and because I was having a friend pick them up, that was noted with the order. We love their Churro cupcakes and I had 12 of them. Each year, I am looking for a place that has the creativity to make beautiful custom decorated cakes but also one that tastes delicious. Why does it have to be so hard??? This place is recommended for wedding cakes, but they were great helping me with my daughter's birthday cake. I worked with them via email just to see if they could make a simple design and to get a quote on pricing. Very gracious experience and saved me the trouble of driving to the physical store. The prices are a bit expensive which I expected since they do weddings, but the reviews made me keep an open mind. They also allowed me to come by to sample a few of the flavors which was awesome so my daughter was sure of what she wanted before we committed to the order. I was told to place the order a couple weeks ahead since they do book up, but that was pretty standard for this kind of work. They asked for a 50% deposit which was also fine with me. The end result was perfect! I opted to add the cake topper decorations myself so they gave me a simple design which was executed perfectly. They were very flexible to work with. The cake was a devil's food cake chocolate and was so moist! The filling was a raspberry compote and equally delish. My kid was happy and the guests enjoyed their cake and Mom was left satisfied with a new place to order my future cakes from in the future. read more

I was walking around this plaza when I saw an ad saying "cupcakes no cupcakes ", so I decided to stop in for a treat. Big desserts like wedding cakes or trays of cupcakes are priced decently, but the single cupcakes are way too pricey for a treat! I will admit they are really delicious. Since I don't like my food to be too sweet, it wasn't my favorite, but I can see why many people would really enjoy this. Service was very fast, and the workers are super patient and kind! Shop is very small. It's more of a shop than a dessert cafe or anything casual like that. We finally narrowed it down to carrot cake with cream cheese filling, devils food cake with strawberry filling, and the top tier and bottom tier were white almond infusion with and almond cream cheese filling. Every single tier was amazing. The grooms cake was devils food with peanut butter and strawberry filling which was exactly what my husband wanted and he loved it. Piece of Cake made our wedding cake last August 12th for our wedding. The wedding cake was really good so this year I went two weeks ahead and ordered our anniversary cake in the exact same flavors of our wedding cake. I paid in full $32 two weeks ahead. When we arrived to the shop, the associate went in the back for a long time and came back out and told me my husband had picked it up already. I was shocked because I knew he didn't. The associate went to the back and came out again and told us the baker was finishing it up. We waited for a while and she came out with the cake. When we got home to take pictures and taste it, we realized it was not the cake I ordered. It was not the flavor or the frosting. So,they did not make our cake or sold it to someone else, then threw ours together with what they had in the back. I am writing this because I was so disappointed this was our experience on our first anniversary. The cake we received was dry and not what we wanted and was expensive. I feel they care about the wedding cake customers and not the other customers who pay good money for their cakes.I am sorry to say we will not be back to this shop. ***thank you for your response but we did not want an exact replica we just wanted the same flavors, and that still wasn't delivered because they forgot to make our cake according to thier behavior when I arrived. I ordered a graduation cake for my daughter. It was enough for 8-10 people. So was about a two layer 8" cake. Cost was over $100. I gave the decorator leeway to decorate. Gave the school colors, my daughter's interests and where she was going to college. The price was worth the fantastic detail that was on the cake! I was VERY impressed! But sadly that is where it stopped. I had called the week before pickup to change the flavor. I had ordered the pink champagne. My daughter tried one of the cupcakes and told me it had no flavor. So I asked to change. After some back and forth they said they would change. Imagine my surprise when I cut the cake only to find they did not change the flavor. The champagne was tasteless. I had asked for almond. It was not almond either. So if you want a cake that looks amazing hire them. If you want it to taste great- go somewhere else. read more

The best cake place that I've ever been-hands down. Kevin is the kindest, most passionate person about his business. We live in north Phoenix and actually drove to Gilbert for tasting and a consult because we heard such great things about it. It fully lived up to our expectations! Our tasting was with Kevin and he was so knowledgeable and helpful for us, who had no idea what we were doing. The cake was delicious. We ended up going home with cupcakes that night for our entire family to try, which was fun! We ended up with a 3 tiered cake and a bunch of cupcakes for the wedding. We decided to go this route because it was cheaper and made for a nice display setup. The nice thing about this bakery is that they don't cap your flavor amounts. So we were able to do as many flavors as we wanted for the cupcakes and cake levels. Everyone at our wedding LOVED the cake. We only had a few cupcakes left. Our most popular flavor was chocolate peanut butter. Aside from the wonderful cake, my favorite part of this process was how easy Kevin made it for us.
