We loved Grace and really enjoyed the cake tasting. On the day of the cake was so delicious. My biggest complaint was how the cake looked. I had found a beautiful cake on her website and showed her a picture, but what I got looked nothing like the beautiful, crisp, deep purple cake on her site. Instead I got a periwinkle blue cake that looked like it had been rushed through. I was so disappointed I almost cried. I avoided looking at the cake the entire night. This review is based only on the e-mail seeking a quote for a cake. I realize the real money is made with wedding cakes. I e-mailed for a quote for a graduation cake. What I got was an e-mail response about how much cakes start out at as if I could not possibly afford to order a cake. I responded that I was more focused on the cake--not price or servings. I again reiterated that I wanted it to be designed a certain way and wanted an estimate of cost. Obviously, I can afford a cake if I am e-mailing a bakery and not running to Costco! My experience is if you're not spending enough, they do not even want your business at Graceful Cake Decorations. They never even bothered to return the e-mail with a quote. Fortunately, I found another vendor who responded to my e-mail with a quote, and today I made it to the store to place the order. read more

I had a last minute college graduation party to attend and she was able to fulfill the order on the same day. The guests said the "Pink Champaign" cupcakes were the most decadent treat they've ever had. We made an appointment for a tasting where Grace had prepared 6 different cake types along with different frostings and fillings. She also had a book of cake designs for us to view. I had the best experience here! I came one day during the weekend for a consultation for our wedding cake. Grace sat with us for over an hour explaining the ordering process, explaining flavors, and giving recommendations. The cake is best that I have every tasted. We ended up doing champagne on the majority of the layers with red velvet in between. All of our guests loved the cake and were very happy with our cake choice. Loved my cake!! Our cake was actually coordinated through our wedding venue (Antique Wedding House) and we received exactly what we were hoping for. We got the two tiered pink champagne cake with strawberry compote filling and vanilla buttercream. It was AMAZING. The cake was light and fluffy and even our wedding guests who aren't fans of cake normally were raving over it. The decoration was simple (just a few emerald vines on the ivory buttercream) but was exactly what we asked for to go with our simple love bird themed wedding. My daughter went to a cake tasting here and fell in love with the both the way the cakes tasted and how they looked. Grace was such a joy to work with. We live in a different state and when I came out to go over everything with her, she was super patient at explaining everything to me and helping me make decisions as far as how much cake to order, etc. On the day of the wedding, the wedding cake was delivered and set up beautifully. needs to be known. Overall a horrible experience. We ordered a two tier wedding cheesecake and 100 cheesecake squares for the guests. The custom service up till the delivery of the cake was good, but after receiving the cake it was not what was orderd it was sopost to be a rustic style cheese cake with simple designs nothing crazy eligent witch should be easy for what such a highly rated bakery. Upon Receiving the cake the day of the wedding the Design was very poor plain and half-assed. I called the store and politely explained the situation over what happened how we were disappointed over the design and rather terrible flavor of the cake and the cheesecake squares and asked for a partial refund for the cake not the squares witch I thought was fair and over all less then 1/4 of out 500$ bill. The reason I did this is So we could have a small one made to save for the one year in the freezer. Upon calling all went well until I asked for the partial refund for the cake. After that grace of "gracefully cakes" started screaming at me and told me to "fuck off and go screw yourself" and slammed the phone down on the table or wall rack. Thinking she hung up we were left on speaker where she proceeded to talk about myself my wife and my entire family to one of her co workers saying things like " I can't believe that bitch of a bride didn't like my cake" and " all thoes fat fucks that we're at the wedding like her maid of honor there no way that non of them liked the cake" " thease assholes insulting my food" and went on and on she proceeded to rant up and down the list insulting my entire family. After I had enough of that absolutely baffled I called back I just in shock over the absolute rude and fake owner who works there. I spoke to graces husband we spoke for just a moment before more of the same and was hung up on after talking for a moment Before being insulted by grace's husband. I only wish I had been recording the phone call so I could share it with others wanting to know what kind of people accualy work at this establishment. I have never felt so insulted or sickening over something that could of been so small. read more
