They rejected my dogs entry into the facility because she had strong antibody titers to parvo and distemper. She had these diseases a year ago when she was rescued from a shelter. Based on my veterinarian recommendations not to vaccinate due to her strong immunity, they still rejected her entry saying she had to be injected . Injecting a dog who has antibody titers may be dangerous to their health . Because of this I'm giving this company one star due to their misinformed policy . I'm not an antivaxer. She has other vaccinations . Our decisions are based on scientific evidence . Our dog is healthy and amazing and it's sad when scientific misinformation causes people to make bad decisions. We were never asked to get additional Communication from our vet . We provided all paper work from the vet. We were only asked if our dog had a medical condition that may exclude her from fitting in to their busy business and we responded she's healthy. Big fan of this place for daycare, we bring our pooch here and she comes home passed the f out. So something is working here. I will say that their prices for grooming are a bit high in my opinion. I have been taking my dog to Piedmont Bark for almost 3 years for day care and grooming. Even though we no longer live in Midtown, we still bring our pup here! He always has such a good time with all of his puppy friends and will nap as soon as he gets home from a long day of playing. They are fairly active with their Instagram and facebook pages, so I love when I can see photos/videos of the pups having a good time. The whole stuff is so friendly and helpful- they are always so happy to see my dog when he walks in. It is obvious that the staff and owners are passionate about giving the best care and fun to the dogs as possible. I am so thankful that during the COVID-19 pandemic they have stayed open and were quick to start safety measures like doing limited contact drop offs. They have very convenient drop off/pick-up times. I feel like I get a great value with paying less than $25/day for 12 hours of doggy day care. I've been very happy with the customer service and care for dogs at Piedmont Bark. I'm new to Atlanta and at first I had a little mishap with my dog having stitches after being fixed. Knowing me, i got online and expressed my "concerns" in a review. The next day i got a call from the owner who helped me understand that their biggest concern is for the safety and well being of the dogs. This changed everything. As a manager of a business that's how i address my own customers. My boy Freddie is always Mr Excitement when i come to get him. i am honestly not sure I would have made it through studying for the bar and still felt good about my skills as a dog mama without Piedmont Bark. Mowgli LOVES coming here. He plays all day (apparently he is one of the most active dogs they have), comes out at the end of the day when it is time to go home with his tail wagging, and flops over happy and exhausted as soon as we get in the house. The staff is great and maybe they just make me feel special but it seems like they are all pretty enamored with Mowgli. We've used them for boarding a few times - they are great about following special instructions (Mowgli has a real knack for getting sick right before I got out of town) and Mowgli seems to enjoy himself while he's there. Since he was a shelter dog I worry about boarding him but I feel better knowing he'll play with dogs and people all day long. Boarding (and daycare) are not cheap but since Mowgli is well taken care of I don't mind. I generally bathe Mowgli at home but we've been here for grooming and they did an awesome job - he looked so handsome I couldn't stand it. If I have anything negative to say about Piedmont Bark it is that they are very precisely down to the minute about when you dropped your dog off for boarding versus when you pick them up which means they are likely to charge you for daycare for the day on top of charging you for boarding if you go over 24 hours - it would be really nice if they could cut you a little slack on that one instead of tacking another $17 or so on your bill or asking you to use a day from your day care package. read more

I just paid $48 for my 10lb short haired chihuahua/dachshund to get groomed and have the furminator to help with deshedding. They charged for it but when I got home after running my furminator through her coat I got a massive pile of fur. they obviously hadn't used the furminator but charged for it. We've sent our hairy child here about five or six times and our dog, simply loves Piedmont Bark. The staff is friendly and unlike some places around here they really care about your dog. The fact that the dogs are allowed to play all day when you board them is just flat out awesome. Our dog is always happy and tired by the time we pick him up, and he's never nervous about going back. Also their 5 dollar dog wash station is a great for when your little friend is a little smelly after a day or two of playing around, and if you would rather have them wash your fuzzy friend, their bath service is the best deal in the city. read more

Unfortunately we tried using Piedmont Bark a few times over the past year and each time their lack of communication, attention to detail and customer service was deplorable. We were misguided due to lack of communication numerous times and even told wrong information which wasted our time as well. The business seemed very unwilling to make it right or correct the steps/process going forward which made us hesitant as well because if that is the way they choose to treat their "human" clients it really makes me concerned how they treat their "furry" clients since they don't have a true voice. I bring my Pomeranian to Piedmont Bark for grooming and boarding, and we both love it. Since she's such a furry gal, it's hard to find someone to groom her well for a reasonable price, but the groomers at Piedmont Bark do such a great job. The absolutely WORST grooming job ever !!! I took my dog here to have him get a summer haircut. I had two specifications: Don't shave his undercoat, and don't touch his tail. When I picked him up he was completely shaved right down to his skin to the point where he was now a pink dog. They also decided it was a good idea shave his tail. It took close to two years for him to fully grow his hair back and his tail has never fully recovered and it looks completely out of proportion to the rest of his body. Any groomer who has half a brain knows this is not what you do to dogs but to make it worse it went against what SPECIFICALLY told them not to do. Do not go here for a grooming !!! read more

I am on the search for daycare for my dog as I'm starting a new job that will require me in the office regularly. Tyler was very helpful and friendly to my friend and I, and he quickly remembered my pups name. The service was great and the liquor inspired pup treats are a nice touch. I only wish there were tours available for other days during the week and not just Saturday. Lack of tour flexibility and location are the only deal breakers for me. I am a veterinarian in the area I found this place by chance when I moved back to Atlanta. I have an older lady dog with separation anxiety so I wanted someplace safe for her with her age and medical issues. Well boy did I luck out. My other dog is older too and doesn't like hyperactive dogs anymore and she even fits in here thanks to them grouping out dogs well. I have since moved out to Kennesaw but I drive 40 minutes just to bring my dogs to the groomers here still. One of my dogs has a very difficult time at grooming and she actually likes going here and always comes back looking great. The groomers have done an amazing job working with her and learning how to help her feel comfortable through her haircut. Both of my dogs seem happy to go and people remember them when they come even though it's not that often. I even recommend the groomer and daycare facility to my clients at the clinic who are looking for top end care for their pets. read more

I've only used the doggie daycare service and boarding here but the staff is great, they know my dog by name, and he gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot. He comes home tired and happy. We usually use their boarding over the holidays and a couple times have had to alter our plans and they've been great at accommodating our schedule changes. Took my dogs there repeatedly until one had the tip of his ear bitten off and they were completely illequipped to deal with it. I picked the dog up, he sprayed my car with blood because they didn't know how to bandage it. I got a vet bill of several hundred dollars. I heard nothing from the management. I posted a complaint on-line. Twenty minutes later the owner called and said he had no idea I had posted anything on-line. I explained that I was upset my dog had the tip of his ear bitten off and my car was a mess and I had a big vet bill. He explained that his mother was dying of stage 19 breast/bone/brain/prostate cancer. He literally started crying on the phone. Whatever. My complaint is that YELP SUCKS because my review was buried deep in the "not recommended" reviews. If you look to Yelp for reviews you're a sucker because Yelp picks reviews to make the companies that are reviewed look good read more

I have taken my dog there since she was a puppy four years ago. She is treated like a little princess by the staff. They have always been attentive and friendly. They have even alerted me when my dog wasn't quite acting like herself...asking if she had been sick. They give me updates on her activities of the day and how she played with others. I love this place, as a single girl in ATL who is pursing an MBA/Full time Career/running habit and a social life when permitted their staff is a life saver(s). I have a great dane (Ryan) who goes a few times a week, he is a clingy rescue dog and he always comes home happy/not insistent upon my immediate attention (which is rare). The staff has earned my trust and his, he now goes willingly with him when I drop him off. I also get him groomed here and they do a fantastic job. The prices are a bit high for daycare - get a package, it makes more sense in the long run. what can i say that hasn't already been said about piedmont bark? just yesterday i brought my pooch in for a bath, de-shed, nail clipping, ear and teeth cleaning... all for $45! not too bad for a 35-pound chow chow mix. before i found piedmont bark, i had to resort to spending $70 plus tip at PetSmart for a heinous hair cut... they didn't understand that dogs who shed don't need a trim, they just need someone to remove their undercoat. piedmont bark gets it - they have their own de-shedding machine, to boot. i've been very satisfied with piedmont bark's work, and won't consider any other groomer for my little girl. read more

What a wonderful 1st experience! The staff we encountered were all wonderful and we did not feel like our dog was just another number. We took him in for grooming services and as we had a bunch to do today thought why not put him in doggy daycare. I don't think he missed us at all, AND with our dog being like our kid they called us during the day to give us an update on how he was doing. I'm extremely pleased. Our baby never looked this good from the previous groomer he went to in Midtown (I won't name any names). Oh and they are priced better than the previous groomer! My great dane has been going to daycare at Piedmont Bark once or twice a week for about 2 1/2 years now and he always runs in with his tail wagging. And even better, he comes home happy and exhausted and sleeps all night. The staff all know him personally and can tell me about his best friends and his girlfriend. He is always excited to see each staff member so I know they must treat him wonderfully when I am not around. I also have them give him baths and cut his nails and they'll make sure he is kept clean until I pick him up. I've also boarded him there on a few different occasions. I really appreciate the personal nature and the quality of service that Piedmont Bark provides. They seem to know all their customers by name and take the time to get to know you. When my dog was just a puppy, they gave me advice and observations about his training and behavior. When I was going to board my dog there for the weekend, the owner William even exchanged emails with me about where he would sleep and giving him extra rest time so his joints wouldn't get too sore. My oldest dog had a turn for the worst while there and they quickly handled the situation with extreme care and urgency. Couldn't be happier with our experience with Piedmont Bark. We have been taking our Brittany to PBark for almost three years and have never had a bad experience. They are flexible, informative, and communicative with you as to how your pet is doing. With such an active breed (Brittany) it is important to make sure they are properly exercised. My wife and I both work outside the perimeter so during the weekdays there is no better option than to drop him off at PBark and have him run around for 10+ hours. We live in Inman Park and it couldn't be easier to drop him off and continue onto the interstate for work. Just an anecdote to show you how much they do care about your pets: Travelled to Europe and boarded our dog with PBark. I messaged them on FB for an update picture and status of how our little guy was doing. The next day we get a message back and several Facebook photo updates with tons of pictures. I took my dog in to Piedmont Bark for the first time to be groomed and was pretty dissatisfied with the result. Not only was the cost of her haircut pretty expensive for my small dog ($70 for a 20lb dog), but the groomer completely ignored my instructions and botched her haircut. She was left uneven and too short in awkward places. It's not even like I could fix her up myself because there wasn't much hair left to fix.
