Please note that they do not just paint your cabinets and call it a day. It's an extensive and laborious multi-step process, which they take care and effort to complete. Lots of washing and sanding and priming - then painting. They even patch any existing damaged areas. They are thorough and detailed! Clean. I confess - I'm a bit of a neat freak. I also have really expensive wood floors that I was slightly freaking out about them getting paint on. NOPE. Not one tiny little, stray spec of paint anywhere. Nico made sure to clean up after himself before leaving everyday. He even mopped my kitchen floor one day, which officially makes him one of my favorite humans. Timely. They gave me a start date, which they very much started on. And kept me informed of how things were moving along. They didn't waste my time. Nico was at my front door when he said he would be - not one minute later. Transparent. From the quoting process, to project start, project duration, and project completion - I knew what was happening and what to expect. KNOWINGLY SELL EXPIRED PRODUCT!…read more We purchased a specific brand of (gymnasium) floor sealer that we've used many times before from Chicago Hardwood. This particular instance the product did not cure properly and required our floors to be refinished (costing an additional $5k in labor) After investigation, and conversations with the manufacturer, it was determined this was a result of using expired product. The product was manufactured in 2016, and with a one-year shelf life, this product had been expired for 2 years. We took this information back to Kevin and Wojtek and they said the knew this product was expired (even mentioned it to us before we purchased, which was not true) and will continue to sell it (at full price) claiming they've not had issues with this product. Our company will no longer do business with Chicago Hardwood. Buyer beware.
