It was also annoying that I kept having to point out spots missed from painting. The company they use for a deep clean came late and barely did anything.There was a lot of creaking beforehand, and after they were done with the job, there was barely any left It turned into a huge fight, and we had to kick them out. We had a move-in date scheduled with our moving company and almost had to cancel it because the apt was not move-in ready Luckily we found a really good cleaning company and they were able to come last minute. 3 stars because they did do some things right, although you really have to be on top of them and check their work.

He gave me a quote for demo and installation (I'd say in the middle range of all the quotes I was able to get) and he helped me pick out the flooring. We had carpet in the bedrooms (which I swear had stuff growing in it, it was so disgusting) and we had poor quality/cheap engineered hardwood in the living areas. JP tore out the carpet and old hardwood and replaced it all with a very good quality engineered hardwood. I went with an engineered hardwood made by Mirage Floors, Carousel finish, wide planks, a pretty thick top layer which means it should last a while and can be refinished a few times, and I love it so much. It looks so amazing and professionally done. JP also installed a cork underlayment for soundproofing, and I think it also evens out the floor and makes it softer/more comfortable to walk on. Every step of the way Johnny was helpful, kind and responsive. I have two condos in the South Loop (in the same building) and our building association can be pretty demanding when it comes to remodeling projects. A lot of paperwork, back and forth, and hoops to jump through. Johnny was cool as a cucumber the whole time, answered the association's questions and we met all the requirements before starting the project. Johnny and I agreed on a start date, he told me how long it would take, and he and his crew totally nailed it. They worked so, so hard. They showed up every day at 7am and worked until 5pm. Johnny said our 3-bedroom condo would take 7 days, and he said our 1-bedroom condo would take 3 days, and that's exactly how long it took. I also have to mention Johnny's brother, Danny, who was just fantastic. He was a big part of the process, too, and he made sure everything was done right. Like Johnny, Danny was so level-headed, kind, and incredibly hard-working. Highly recommend!
