truly awful and horrible experience. Will update this review with details soon........ …read more....... ...... ...... ....... ........ ....... .......

Update: I posted my original review elsewhere and received a reply. The owner denied the…read moreinformation that I had clearly available in front of me. He claimed that the $230 billed through my insurance was incorrect. My explanation of benefits determined that is a lie. He claimed that the office thoroughly explained all costs regarding my procedures. Their lack of transparency even as I was directly questioning the receptionists at the front desk determined that is a lie. His best offer- after depleting all of my insurance benefits- was to explain their sky high prices more thoroughly. Wow, thanks...that's so helpful after the fact. If you're going to charge far above industry standard this should be explained thoroughly before clients proceed with care so they can make an informed and responsible decision. If clients feel it is worth it to pay double, then by all means proceed. However this practice is unscrupulous, to say the least. Overall, this is not a business you can negotiate or compromise with. They will simply deny, deny, deny. My best advice if you're reading this: Please, read over my original review and run as fast as you can to any other reputable dental office. Also, I called around to comparison shop after my experience with Karing Dental. When I told the other offices that I had dealt with an office that charged $400 per filling, I could hear the shock in their voices. Every single other office I spoke to priced fillings between $100-$200, even more complex composite fillings. And yes, that was their rate without insurance, as I no longer have any remaining benefits. Why on earth Karing Dental feels entitled to this additional money, I have no idea. However, it is sad considering dental health is a basic necessity. It shouldn't be a money grab, especially during a time when inflation and cost of living are on the rise. If you're only in the industry to financially take advantage of people, you should probably find a different profession.

I can't say I'm a big fan of going to the dentist, but after two years without a cleaning or…read morecheckup -- despite having dental insurance for the past year -- I finally sucked it up and made an appointment. I had the name of a guy in Addison, but it turned out my insurance no longer covered him. Having made my mind up to go one way or another, I looked again and Dr. Kellner was the closest option. So I went with it. The office has sort of weird hours, which is both good and bad -- good because you can get an evening appointment (or weekend) but bad because it's irregular -- they're only open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and alternating Saturdays, and not "normal business hours" so calling for an appointment was a bit of a hassle. But, I did finally make one, and so at 5 p.m. on a Tuesday, I headed in with some trepidation -- not only because I'm not a real big fan of the dentist, but also because I read some reviews elsewhere on the internet that made me a bit wary. Well, the dentist herself -- because I had Dr CRYSTAL Kellner, who is probably related somehow to Donald -- was very nice, my teeth are shiny and clean, and I felt pretty well taken care of. It's not the nicest office around. The building is clearly stuck in 1974, the office in the early 80s. If you're looking for massaging chairs, cheery kitten posters or flat-panel TVs, this is not your dentist office. Next time, I'm using my iPod. Pluses: + Dr. Kellner did the cleaning herself. After years of having a hygenist do it all, that was a nice touch. + Knowledgeable, helpful, told me I had "pretty teeth" (they're hardly the picture of perfection, but I'll take the compliment) + Extended hours including Saturday. + They take my insurance Minuses: - Not much to look at, old office, no fancy touches and not even a free toothbrush - Seemed a little behind and disorganized -- I spent a good 15-20 minutes just sitting in the chair at various times All in all, a low-frills dentist office close to home.

UPDATE 6/08/19: this past Wednesday, I started feeling tooth/gum pain in the area where my tooth…read morewas extracted months ago. Sure enough, after getting to my regular dentist, he found bone fragments lodged in my gums, trying to make their way out. Looks like the oral surgeon didn't get every piece like she had thought. Here I am, numb mouth again, on antibiotics again, in pain again. I was referred to this place by my dentist; I had to have a tooth extraction done ASAP as my tooth was badly infected. When I got there, I checked in right away but waited about 30+ minutes PAST my appointment to be seen. I understand this happens, but there was 1 other person ahead of me so I'm not sure why it was a 30+ minute wait. If you like getting Novocain shots in your gums and the roof of your mouth without topical anesthesia, you won't have a problem with this place. Dr. Drobny did not hesitate to jam a shot into my gums and the roof of my mouth without any topical anesthesia. The tooth cracked upon extracting so it took extra time to dig the leftovers out which caused even more strife. After the procedure, I was in so much pain and wanted to get out of there. However, I couldn't because the receptionist was having a jolly old time talking to the other receptionist about something unrelated to my procedure. Overall, terrible experience.

I haven't written a review in ages but the treatment and services I received at this dental clinic…read morewith Dr. Luma made me wanted to write her a review to thank her for her thoughtfulness, thoroughness and patience with a first-time patient like myself. I just moved into the area and having to switch to new doctors always made me felt nervous, especially when I am due with my baby at any moment and having to go through a whole new dental procedure. First of all, her dental office was extremely clean and all the equipments were new and updated. She and her staff spent about an hour examining my teeth and that made me felt like they really care about their patients. I also wasn't aware that the first visit usually only consists of "check-ups" and patients needed to schedule a follow-up appointment for routine cleaning - but after communicating my situation with Dr. Luna (with a baby due any moment), she squeezed me into her busy schedule today so I can have my teeth examined and cleaned before my due date. On top of that, she was more thoughtful and careful that I was that she recommended putting all the other procedures (such as X-rays and etc.) postpartum and double made-sure that my teeth would have no problem in the next six months before I come back to see her again. I am really glad that I picked Dr. Luma as my new dentist. I felt very comfortable and taken cared of as a patient here. Thank you, doctor!

I would not recommend their services. I had to go else where to fix the very expensive crown.read more
