I noted it was our anniversary in the reservation, and clearly it did not make one lick of difference. Our server was harried, disinterested, and perfunctory. However, the food was delicious. They are still stickler about substitutions, so I just asked for the halibut without any risotto, and they brought me garlic mashed potatoes anyway, which they charge $7 for. The table next to us was denied the opportunity to swap their starch. Still a lot of menu items with risotto, which is a bummer. The halibut was perfectly cooked, although I was longing for more of the champagne cream sauce. The fried chicken was fabulous. We both liked the green beans, but vegetarians be warned they are cooked with bacon. Mash potatoes were meh. It is charming inside, although some tables are wedged a bit close together.

Was really happy to find a fine dining experience in Ludington. While "pub grub" is great (and…read moreplentiful in this town) being here a whole week we were itching for some interesting food. Loved the shrimp and grits, Caesar salad was good, but could have been improved with homemade croutons instead of out of a box. The couple we were with had the buttermilk chicken and she crab soup. Again, buttermilk chicken should have been served with a nice big biscuit, if trying to mimic southern style. A nice plate of bread and butter would have rounded out the meal beautifully, which sadly was not offered. Other than that, the service was wonderful, the ambience is very tasteful and enjoyable, and it was a solid place to enjoy a fine dining meal! A few tweaks & would've given it a five star review.

I had the Hazy and my husband had a West Coast IPA, and both were fabulous. My Hazy was honestly one of the top hazy beers I've had. The menu looked amazing too, and we had such a hard time deciding what to order. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked so good that we actually wished we had more time in Ludington because we would have come back here for dinner again! My husband ordered the Hog Father Burger with fries, and WOW. The burger was absolutely mouthwatering, especially with the pork belly, and I couldn't stop stealing bites from him. The fries were incredibly crunchy and delicious, and the burger was so filling that he couldn't even finish it. I ordered the shrimp tacos, which came out somewhat deconstructed, and I actually thought that was fun. The shrimp was served over rice with pickled red onions, and it came with salsa, guacamole, sour cream, and Mexican cheese on the side so you could build them however you wanted. Everything was delicious, but those pickled red onions were especially good! We sat out on the patio, which was a really nice area. The inside was also large and everything was very clean. The only slightly odd part of our visit was our waitress. I'm going to give her some grace because maybe she was just having a bad day, but there were a couple of interactions that felt a little strange, including when we first walked in and the way she spoke to a few people as they were being seated. That said, she was efficient, and I'll take a peculiar waitress who gets the job done over slow service any day! Overall, this was absolutely a 5-star brewery experience. Great beer, fantastic food, a nice patio, a clean and spacious atmosphere, and a menu we wished we had more time to explore. We would definitely come back!

The ice cream is that good, and the history and story behind the building make this place such a fun stop. It's easily become one of our all-time favorite ice cream shops! I got the Eskimo Kisses and my husband got the Peanut Butter Bull's-Eye, and both were absolutely incredible. The ice cream here is seriously 100 out of 10. I got mine in a waffle cone, and that was probably the only slightly disappointing part. The cones are pretty small, and honestly, it wasn't my favorite waffle cone compared to some others I've had. But the ICE CREAM makes up for it and then some! There is pretty much always a line here, no matter what time of day you go, but they are incredibly efficient. They move people through quickly, so even when the line looks long, you aren't standing around forever. The inside is so cute and quaint, almost like stepping into an old-fashioned diner or soda fountain. It's bright, fun, clean, and has so much character. I'm still kicking myself that I've never actually stopped here for breakfast or lunch because I've heard their food is worth trying too. One of these days! We ordered from the ice cream side, where they have all of the cones and ice cream treats listed. I didn't see milkshakes and some of the other things you might expect at an old-fashioned ice cream shop on that side, although I'm pretty sure you can get more options if you sit down and order from the restaurant side. If you're in Ludington, you absolutely have to stop at House of Flavors. The ice cream is fantastic, the atmosphere is so much fun, and the history makes it even more special. We came back a year later for a reason, and we'll definitely be back again!

The place seemed busy but luckily there was no wait time. There was a lot of vegetarian options and mostly each combination was available as a salad, wrap or a sandwich. I ordered the cranberry chicken wrap . The wrap felt a little dry but the filling was quite good. I also tasted chicken fajita sandwich and it was awesome. This place has started as an ice-cream shop. They hold a lot of records including one in The Guinness Book of World Records and it shows in their elaborate ice-cream selection.we ordered vanilla with butterscotch and raspberry rendezvous and liked both. Prices are reasonable too. Definitely worth a visit when in town. PS : we walked by the restaurant's ice-cream shop side in the evening again and there was a queue extending to over a block :)

Met up with a group of 5 to get drinks and food before checking into our Airbnb. The first thing we noticed was that there were no tables for groups larger than 4, so we grabbed a chair from another table and all crammed around a high top. There appeared to only be 1 waitress working and while she was friendly she was not attentive. Food took 50minutes to come out and drinks ran empty without refills. I had ordered 2 appetizers and skipped the mains. First up were the fried Pickle Chips that came with a ranch dip. The batter was flavorful, and the pickle fried to perfection. The second app I had gotten were the Bavarian Pretzel Sticks which came with a house made beer cheese. The pretzels were warm and doughy without being dry and the beer cheese was incredible. The rest of the table ordered wings and a burger, and everyone had great things to say about their food. The food was great but the wait time, lack of seating, and lack of staff really put a damper on the experience. This pub is currently sitting at a 5.3 on my Beli and it feels like a fair rating. Food is on point, customer service needs work.

There is a wait because the food is amazing, and everyone knows it, we are happy to wait our turn to get in to eat multiple times a week because it's like a home away from home, only with better food. Another huge plus here besides the amazing food and friendly staff is the turn around time on food. Idk what kind of magic they do in the kitchen but the food is always ready in the blink of an eye. Ask for a side of the chipotle ranch, trust me, it will change your life. All year round this is my go to place to eat, the soups are better than I could ever make, the stuffed hashbrowns are amazing, their Bloody Marys are perfect!
