Well ... our most recent trip was a real disappointment. The pierogi is off the menu, which is too bad because it was fabulous and not something you could get anywhere. Tonight we went with the burrata ravioli and homemade sausage, which was fine. The sausage was toasty. The sauce was nothing special and the whole thing was under seasoned. But the fish and chips was really bad. The breading on the fish is super heavy and came out very dark. It smelled strongly and the fish itself was barely cooked. The fries were super soggy. Our kind server did offer a bit of a discount on the fish which was appreciated. We were sat in the adjacent room, which is fine. But odd there is no music playing on that side. Used to be one of our favorite places to eat in Ludington but this was an unfortunate experience.

We were in the main floor bistro, not the rooftop. Lots of choices. Food is good, well above-average. Full bar. Service was great for us; we did go early (5:00 PM). They have daily specials; I had the sushi; my wife got the ribs. They have vegetarian options. Eclectic stuff like a "Pierogi Bowl". Half-dozen dessert choices.

Good. They have a wide variety of food. A couple of the kids ordered sushi and they enjoyed. The potstickers are good, but the sauce they were served on was plain soy sauce, so it was quite salty. The cheddar tots were good - had a kick. The bang bang shrimp was really good. Our server, Hannah, was great!

Sat on the upstairs patio with the breeze blowing and the sun shining! Good food and friendly service plus cocktails to go! Spent the day in Ludington and stopped for a snack . It was fun sitting upstairs and outside. Good was average price and good, my drink was $9 so not bad I guess. Check it out next time your in the area.

The atmosphere here is eclectic moody. A mixture of old and unique. The lights are dim, but not too dark. I ordered 12 Wings ($15), 6 General Tso and 6 Bistro Bbq. The wings were very well cooked and had lots of meat on them. The General Tso is tangy and really tasty. For me the Bistro Bbq needs to be better. The bbq sauce wasn't bad, I just didn't like it. I definitely preferred the General sauce. For the main meal I ordered the Pot Roast ($15). This one is complicated. The meat of it was very tender and full of taste. The gravy in my opinion was yucky. It detracted from the meal. I scrapped off the gravy and just ate the meat. The Mashed potatoes and the corn  were both very good. The garlic bread was skippable! The service was excellent. Overall a 4 star review. Would I return? Yes, but I would skip bistro bbq and not get the pot roast again.

There was open seating with both booths and regular tables. The menu offers a wide selection of choices. We opted for the lunch sushi combo A: which came with a choice of miso or mushroom soup, house salad with a ginger dressing and your choice 2 sushi rolls from their special lunch list. We loved the mushroom soup and salad! The sushi we tried were the Spicy Tuna, Jalapeño Yellow Tail, Salmon Sushi and a California Roll. The Jalepeno Yellow Tail would not be my choice to order again, the other sushi was delicious. The best part of our experience and earning 5 stars for the restaurant, was our server. I'd never visited before but had heard such good things and am so glad it lived up to the hype. I'm so excited we liked it and am sure we will be back. Regardless it was a wonderful visit and I'd highly recommend recommend. The restaurant is very light and definitely has a cafe vibe. It's located in a strip mall, and doesn't really give off "high end" vibes anywhere except they'll droolworthy food.

In fact, one time, the beef in the Beef and Broccoli was not edible. Had the consistency of cooked rubber. Couldn't eat it. Terrible! Other entrees were much better, today I had the Sesame Chicken. I'd say that was okay, but our sushi was the highlight of the meal. Going to continue frequenting for Sushi and Crab Rangoon's but might skip the entrees.

Middle of the afternoon and a Sunday and we almost had the place to ourselves. The restaurant is spacious with many seating options. Service was prompt and attentive. The menu is large with sushi, Chinese and noodle options. There was also a nice assortment of appetizers. We chose the guacamole roll (novel and looked interesting, the rainbow roll (raw and familiar to us) and the mizu roll with a crab Rangoon appetizer. Each dish was beautifully prepared, presented and really fresh and flavorful. If this is the only sushi place in the area, it's all you will need. Location is also wonderful, situated across the street from a beautiful waterfront park with lots of good walking paths and benches.

We were seated right away, they weren't too busy even though we were there during the height of tourism season. It seems like they have some local regulars, which is always a good sign. The restaurant was dimly lit and nicely decorated, definitely an upscale atmosphere. We were so, so excited to find that Crate was a Coca Cola establishment. Those seem to be few and far between in Door County. So we happily ordered some Diet Cokes, and some refills. Come to find out later, they were $3 each!! I had a vegetarian sushi roll, and Deb ordered a Ramen bowl. They were pricy, but not more than one might expect from a touristy area. However, comma. $20 Crab Rangoons? Surely these must be some amazing rangoons, mother. We had to try. My sushi roll was fine, maybe a bit heavy on the vinegar from the sauce that was drizzled on it. The Crab Rangoons were hot and fresh, but honestly not any more amazing than those from my local Chinese restaurant. I likely wouldn't order them again at this price. If I am in the area again, I'd go to Crate if that is what the group wants to do. For me personally, it was just a bit too expensive for what it was.
