People leave reviews for many reasons--either because they had an outstanding experience or a truly disappointing one. As a business owner myself, I know how much weight reviews can carry, so I put a lot of thought into writing this. I've given Pieratt's multiple opportunities to fix my situation, and I have proof via email, text messages, and phone call logs to show the effort I've made on my end. My refrigerator issue has been ongoing since July. In that time, I've had two separate loaner fridges, but only because I've been the one repeatedly reaching out. Any communication I've received has been a result of my persistence--not their initiative. For the past two weeks, I've heard nothing at all, while the replacement fridge they dropped off continues to sit unused in my dining room. To make matters worse, I lost over $600 worth of groceries because their service team failed to communicate that my fridge wasn't working properly. I also make it a point to support local businesses versus big box stores, but in this case, I wholeheartedly regret that choice. The only reason I'm giving one star instead of zero is because the sales associate I worked with at the Reynolds location was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, the lack of urgency, accountability, and communication from Pieratt's service department has far outweighed that positive. At this point, I cannot recommend Pieratt's until they show they can stand behind their products and take care of their customers. read more

I wanted to help a local business and ordered washer and dryer and scheduled delivery date. I took off work to be at home for delivery/installation. I was told I'd receive a call with expected delivery window. Surprise, no call. After multiple attempts to contact someone who could provide ANY information, I was informed they didn't schedule my delivery. The best and only option was to reschedule for delivery FIVE DAYS LATER despite having my washer/dryer in their warehouse. I was told they can't do anything for me. Customer service sucks our washer has been down since dec 26th. They can out 1st Jan 7th. Had to order parts. Cam e back Jan 20th part was bad have to order new part. I called Jan 23 was told part will not be i until feb1 and they can not fix until Feb 3rd. This is one of the wor customer service I have ever dealt with. You could stand behind your merchandise. Bought a ~$1000 KitchenAid 3 years and 2 days ago. The circulation pump went out two days after the warranty expired. Run! Do not purchase any appliance from Pieratt's! We purchased all our appliances from them. Their service department is horrible! They take 3-4 weeks for an appointment. You take off work for their appointment time and then they arrive without the parts to make the repair. I've tried to get a warranty processed and it's been over a month with no progress for our refrigerator. Mind you we have an extended warranty. I got a great deal on my In-Stock purchase at Pieratt's. Nobody Beats Pieratt's! My husband and I came in looking for a refrigerator to replace our current one that was not properly running. We met salesman, Gary Oliver, and he was very patient and listened to everything that we were looking for including our price point. We wanted something immediately. Gary returned 10 minutes later with two items that perfectly met our needs and the exact price point we asked for. Wow...no up-sale here. Just terrific customer service. We had planned on shopping around to see other options but Gary was amazing and we were more than satisfied, so we turned our Friday night into a "date night"! Thanks Gary! Follow up. They never contact me any after my first post. I had to keep calling them and complaining. Than come to find out that my icemaker was not on back order. It was being ordered under the wrong part number. So I am finally suppose to be getting my icemaker installed close to three months later. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I came in and purchased over $4000 of appliances. I purchased a washer and dryer set and a refrigerator with an ice maker. The first problem was that my brand new front loading washing and dryer machines had LOTS oily film in the drums AND it SMELLED REALLY BAD like engine oil. So they came out and exchanged the washer and dryer with new ones. Well the washer and dryer that they replaced it with had oil in the barrels too and smelled bad too. All they told me to do is keep running the cycles until the smell and oil goes out of it. They said that apparently in the warehouse they put oil in the drums to keep it from rusting. I purchased them in February and it still smells bad in both drums. And my very expensive dryer is already tearing up. Then, when they were there, bringing my refrigerator they showed up with no ice maker. When I questioned them about what happened to my ice maker they first told me that I didn't pay for it. Then they told me that they didn't have it in stock, and it was on backorder. When I was in store I told them that the ice maker was very important to me and that would be the only way I bought this particular refrigerator. The man reassured me that it was in stock when it was on back order. So I purchased my refrigerator in February and here it is April and still no ice maker. When I call to ask about what happened to it no one has any idea when it's going to be in stock. And they are very hateful when I call and ask about what happened to it. It's like it's an inconvenience to call and ask about what happened to my $100 ice maker. Can someone please deliver and install my freaking icemaker that I paid for in February?! So disappointed in the decline of the service department. Customers for 40 years, we have purchased ALL of our large appliances there and until recently the service has been excellent. Our dryer needed a new heating element. My husband called on Wednesday and was told the soonest they could work us in would be Monday. Five days later I'm up to my neck in dirty clothes and wet towels. I'm up at 7am awaiting a call from the technician that never came. At 9am I called the Service department to inquire and the young woman told me our appointment was the following Monday! I told her no, we were simply told "Monday" which we took as the next Monday, not a week from Monday. She became rude and defensive and said there was "no way" that "they" would have scheduled it that soon as they work 3 weeks out. Aside from the obvious math error (the following Monday would have been 12 days, not 3 weeks) I don't doubt the appointment In their system was the following Monday. It was a communication error on her part for which I never even received an apology. I called the main office and spoke with a very nice manager who patiently listened to my rant and assured me the service manager would call me directly (he is the reason for my 2 star review instead of 1 star). Unfortunately, I never received that call. Nada. Nothing. Ended up calling Mr. Appliance. Our appointment was the very next day. I received a text confirmation with a photo and name of the technician, and a 2-hour window of arrival. One arm and leg later (they charged double what it should have been, but that's another story) our dryer is fixed. My advice to Pieratt's is, if this is your established service level just stop bragging about it. It was a miscommunication. ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS CALL AND APOLOGIZE. Just purchased a compact Bosch washer and dryer and couldn't be happier! It was our first time buying a compact front loader and really wanted to see the actual size in person before buying. Called or went to several other stores, but no one had floor models. This store had three! We've had our units now for a week, and are so impressed with their performance. They are the best washer and dryer we've ever had! Our salesperson, Joe, was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be going back soon for a stove replacement. read more

I went into the store on October 3, 2023 searching for a gas stove. In this search the salesman (go) said I would get a better price if I purchased another appliance. He suggested the microwave. I decided to do that. The appliances were delivered by Pieratt's on October 26, 2023. The contractor I hired to install gas lines and install appliances, installed them without any problems. I registered the stove and dishwasher by scanning the QR code. The microwave QR code showed invalid code. Several times I scanned the QR code without success. I called Pieratt's and explained why I called. The call was sent to service. The appointment was for December 11, 2023 between 3pm to 6pm. I called Samsung customer service, talked with a representative and she asked for the QR code. I read it to her a couple times because she said it wasn't valid code. The warranty expired March of 2023. She asked if they sold me the unit as a new unit. I responded yes. I asked how could that be. I purchased October 3. She asked for serial number and model number and said she would extend warranty to October 2024. Pieratt's sold me a used or old microwave unit as a new unit. UPDATE: I've changed my review from 1 star to 3 stars. I called Pieratt's and told them what I did with the credit card company they agreed to take the dishwasher back. Pieratt's need to revisit their return policy. Lowe's, Home Depot, and Best Buy all have a 30 day return policy no questions asked. I bought a Beko dishwasher, model number DDT39432XIH at the recommendation of the salesman at the Mt. Tabor location. I was told it was on the same level as Bosch dishwashers. The dishwasher is approximately 4 days old and has not worked since it was installed. Dishes remain dirty and are still wet after a cycle finishes and has an odor coming from it. On the day it was installed, water came out of the drain hose that was connected to the dishwasher. Maybe I got someone else's repaired dishwasher, I don't know. My Samsung dishwasher did better than this. Pieratt's is wanting to send someone to fix the dishwasher. That's unacceptable. I was sold a faulty dishwasher from day 1. Now if it was a month or 6 months later, I would accept the service call, but not for something that didn't work from day 1. When I called yesterday and spoke with the assistance manager John at the Mt. Tabor store, he felt that I should be able to return the dishwasher, but had to speak with the general manager today (Monday). Apparently the general manager does not like to keep his or her customers happy. I'm in the process of disputing the charge with Chase Bank since that's the credit card I put it on. Our refrigerator quit Sunday. After calling Home Depot, Lowe's, and looking online at Appliance Pro I reached out to Pieratt's. Xan Clark immediately responded. Asking thoughtful questions about size, brands we liked etc. after a short time he told me what they had and they were open until 5pm. We drove over along with our little dog Wynne. Xan made us a terrific deal in a new refrigerator for our kitchen, a second refrigerator for our garage and a new microwave oven! The microwave was delivered and installed yesterday and our refrigerators are being delivered and installed today! We love shopping locally and believe Pieratt's is top notch. Zan was professional, knowledgeable, respectful, friendly, and courteous! In the last two weeks I bought a new washer and dryer and new television. I got an amazing deal. Both purchases were several hundred dollars below their competitors. Justin Tackett was my salesperson. He was very knowledgeable. He was not pushy. I even went home and researched what are you told me and looked around, and he was right. terrible experience and still ongoing. Our 48" fridge just went on the blink and we need to replace it. The best Pieratts could do was $15,000 fridge that we'd get in 3-4 weeks. We had few choices, so we agreed... then the installation cost kept going up. this is a stainless fridge that does not offer custom panel option, but it has 6 panels. even though it doesn't have custom panels, they charge you $1000 more for the standard stainless panels. Then they want additional install cost additional for the standard panels ($800 more). This adds$1800 to the base cost of the standard refrigerator before their delivery costs... delivery cost is also much higher than the original $250 estimate on their website because of weight... almost double. Our past experience with Pieratts was pretty good, but we will never but from them again. My husband said he could install the panels given the manual, but they don't seem interested in working with us. No extra charge for hook up equipment lowes charged 30 dollars just for that. They used a new braided hose. No 30 dollar carry away charge tacked on. I have bought every appliance for my home at Pieratt's in the last 2 years, including the 5 year extended warranty plan for each appliance, because I was told by the salesman how quick and efficient the service department was and it's LOCAL! My 18 month old washing machine stopped, so I call the service department to have them come look at it. The only appointment they had available was 2.5 weeks out. I wasn't happy, but took the appointment. In the meantime, I had Mr. Appliance come look at it hoping it was a simple fix. Unfortunately it was the computer board and would cost roughly $1000 to fix, so Mr. Appliance suggested I use the warranty. Call back to Pieratt's to let them know what the issue was and for them to bring the parts the day of my appointment. The lady answering the phone was rude and said they had to diagnose it themselves. So the day they arrived, run the diagnostics and found out it was the same issue, so now they have to order the parts and it will be 2-3 weeks before they can get me back on schedule. I ask for a loaner washing machine until mine can get fixed. The secretary said I would have to speak to a manager. Contacted the manager, he said the parts would be in within a week and when they came in, I would be put on the schedule the next day. I go in the day parts are supposed to be in and they can't see in the computer if they're in. But guarantee they will be in by today and he will either come with the parts to fix it or bring me a loaner. Call this morning to see what time they plan to be here and guess what.... I'M NOT ON THE SCHEDULE!!! Im over one month without a washing machine as a family of 5! I will never buy another appliance at Pieratt's!! Worst customer service EVER!! read more

This company does provide discounted appliances at a fair price. However I purchased a washer/dryer, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Every one has had an issue or problem minus the dishwasher which is hardly ever used. The dryer which was like knew had the motor fail within weeks of owning, the LG refrigerator has been nothing but problems since owning it. However I was at least aware that could be an issue when purchasing and Pieratt's did a fair job of at least attempting to resolve the problems. The headaches of calls and dealing with it wasn't worth just buying new appliances. The straw that broke the camel's back was a service call today. I felt the condenser might be going out in the fridge and scheduled a service call. Without any information relayed to me, we scheduled a technician and no price was ever conveyed to me by the company. Upon arrival the technician removed a few pieces of ice and told me my drain was backed and charged me $100 for a moments work. I should have asked if it was still under warranty and upon that would have just YouTubed it and resolved the issue myself. Like the company I made a mistake accept mine ended up costing $70 after disputing the cost. Don't do busy with these people unless you desire constant problems with the products and bad communication. read more

Was it possible to take it home today. Joe, was not your Average Joe. He was friendly, not pushy and immediately started helping us. So, I decided to re-outfit my entire kitchen with all new appliances. Hey, the husband bought into the fact that it wouldn't match the other appliances and I ran with it. You know you would have done the same thing. The items we liked at the box store they matched. Then some items had rebates. They even knocked of $ for us taking the floor model fridge that looked perfect. No deliver or set up fees and the next day, I had my new fridge. I will be back again and again. read more

Pieratt's is awesome. Tons of appliances from low end to high end - they have a great selection of everything. And their prices are on point too. Plus, their sales people are really great. We worked with Joe Reilly over several weeks to order everything for our new kitchen. Joe was very knowledgable, honest and professional and helped us pick out the best appliances for our needs. He spent a LOT of time with us and never rushed us to make a decision. He emailed specs to me for everything we bought and was always quick to respond to my emails. There is absolutely no way anyone would get this level of service from a big box store. On top of everything else, they are actually open on Saturdays and Sundays, which is extremely helpful. Absolute, most sarcastic, rude, unprofessional and unhelpful sales staff I've ever dealt with in over 40 years. Nothing but excuse after excuse after excuse, month after month after month! As promised, I am changing my review of our experience at Pieratt's. We did have an issue where we purchased, what we thought, was a new Electrolux washing machine, but we later discovered from Electrolux that we had purchased a washing machine with two previous owners. We discovered this after 3 repairman and our floors getting ruined because of a leaking washing machine. It's a very long story, but we finally got help from Michael Cox at Pieratt's. He not only is making it right by getting us a new washing machine, but he also was very apologetic for all of the trouble. I realize that things can happen with appliances, and I am thankful that Pieratt's will work with their customers if there are issues. Thank you to Pieratt's for helping us and doing the right thing. Was on the fence on a mattress that was much more expensive than than i went in for. Was told if I waited 5 weeks for "Black Friday" sale to start it would be a cpl hundred dollars off. When i went back it turns out that the option i was looking at was retail price $3200, not $2600 as I was told and the entire line was excluded from any sale price. Arranaged purchase of new washer and dryer with two risers on their website. At the end it does not actually allow you to pay for items and says a sales "professional" will call you. I wait FOUR days. No call. Order is at minimum $2200.00. I wanted to use a local business to keep the profits local. So after four days I just call them myself. I am expecting a bit of an apology but nope. So the W/D is available for delivery in three days but the risers will be delivered in another week or so. So I am halfway disappointed but still ready to pay. Manager then says however I will have to pay two delivery fees of $70x2. I am like look nobody even bothered to call for four days to collect this 2200 and now you want to charge me twice for something you are out of stock of? I ask for the second fee to be waived he says no. So I just dropped $2300 at Home Depot and got a upgraded model which will be delivered quicker. read more

We spent over an hour with Kenny...we told him what we were looking for, likes, and dislikes and he helped us in making a choice. Kenny was the most knowledgable salesman we have spoken with. we recently moved to Lexington and outside of the DIY stores there aren't many options beyond Pieratt's. We purchased a high end stove, a refrigerator for our garage and a hood insert for the stove. The stove was in inventory and we were told the propane converter, if not in inventory, would be available within two weeks. After constantly following up, we finally received the stove and converter about 7 weeks later. The refrigerator was delivered prior to the stove and had to be returned because it was so badly dented. The stove insert was ordered in the first week of May and finally arrived the 3rd week in August...again after we were initially told two weeks. Worse, the sales person, Xan, stopped returning our texts and calls until he finally admitted that we wouldn't receive until August 15th. The insert arrived and was to be installed this week but it was the wrong size and the correct size would cost another $700. We were told this one was in inventory but who knows. At any rate we canceled our order and won't be back. Sadly, we need to purchase another refrigerator and dishwasher which will now probably be purchased at one of the big boxes-not what we wanted to do but there really is no other choice. Pieratt's carries great brands but the customer experience is more like a cable company then and locally owned appliance store. read more

We had a small issue with a new stove, and the next day they brought a new one to our home and replaced it without any issues. I contacted Bosch corporate offices and after much discussion they agreed to pay for the part after their initial offer to pay for half of the cost. It took Pieratts 20 days to provide a technician to assess my dishwasher, order the part and finally install it. This is poor customer service! I've purchased MANY products from Pieratts but after this fiasco they have lost a loyal and valued customer. Like most people, my husband and I got tired of the big box stores so we decided to buy local. We visited Pieratt's on Nicholasville Road on Memorial Day of 2019. James was our sales person. He was very nice and low pressure. We purchased a dishwasher, scheduled the delivery, etc. I took off work to accept the dishwasher. Mid to late afternoon on the delivery day, the delivery person called to say that he would not deliver the dishwasher. He was held up somehow and we would have to call and schedule another delivery day. He was very unconcerned that I took off work and waited most all day for the dishwasher. I contacted James and he scheduled another delivery and my husband had to take off work to accept the second delivery. Fast forward to early late December of 2019 or early January of 2020. We decided to purchase a refrigerator. We gave Pieratt's a second chance. I contacted James at the Nicholasville Road store and told him what I wanted. My main issue was that I wanted a white refrigerator - not stainless steel. I was told that since I wanted white, it would have to be ordered. So, we were told that we would be contacted when our refrigerator arrived to schedule delivery. We were contacted on Saturday and again on Monday and we scheduled our delivery for the following Friday - 1/24/20. I once again took a day off work. We worked to clean on the old refrigerator and worked to clear a path through the back yard to make it easier to get the refrigerator into the house - moving vehicles, etc., and moving things around in the back yard. Right before delivery, we got a phone call and were told that once again, we would not receive our appliance as promised - it was damaged. I asked the delivery person why someone didn't check that yesterday so I didn't have to take a day off work, and he said that Pieratt's doesn't inspect items until right before they are put on the truck. Another day wasted. I contacted the Nicholasville Road manager - Steve. I told him the problem and he simply said that their policy was not to look at items until right before delivery. I told him that this was the second time in one year and he simply asked if I wanted to "cancel" our order. That's all he cared about our business. I told him that we wanted the refrigerator but our terms were: (1) we get delivery on Saturday and (2) I get reimbursed for a second day off work due to their lack of communication. I listed a few small things such as their "Super Saturday" deal but was told that I didn't see the "small" print on the commercial. Steve called me back after he spoke with the general manager - Jeff Moser. I was told that I would get delivery on a Saturday and they would waive the delivery fee. I told them that should be done anyway and that they needed to reimburse me for my wasted time off work and was told "no." So I left Bruce Pieratt a message. He didn't return my call so I made an attempt to discuss this with the general manager Jeff Moser. He wouldn't budge. I was told by Jeff that the problem was that I ordered a white refrigerator. Pieratt's doesn't stock WHITE refrigerators - only stainless steel. He said if I chose a stainless steel refrigerator that I still could have received my delivery. He basically said that I was the problem. It's not like I asked for a red refrigerator. I additionally told him many things - but the main thing was that Pieratt's doesn't respect other people's time and the fact that they have to work also. He said that I was incorrect but we see how we were treated TWICE in one year. Finally, on Monday 1/27/20 I once again left Bruce Pieratt a message. He finally called me back mid to late afternoon. He had an attitude from the moment we started talking. I gave Bruce a chance to make it right and he said "no." He said that he will not BUY people's business. I admit I was mad, but what angers me the most is the disregard for clients' time. After a few minutes and several smart remarks that he made, I could see that it was going nowhere. He finally said something to the effect that Pieratt's wasn't meeting our expectations and we were not meeting their expectations so we would just not move forward with the purchase. I asked what we did that didn't meet their expectations and he said that we expected Pieratt's to do too much. Additionally, another attorney in my office said that she tried to purchase a washer/dryer. She was told by the Nicholasville Road store that she would have to contact the Mount Tabor Road store - which she did. Nobody returned her call and she went to Lowe's. I will never go back there and I will tell everyone I know that Pieratt's customer service is worse than any big box store. read more
