It's difficult to find an Expedition. We drove up to Sagle when we saw this online. We kept in touch with Carl, who was not pushy. He listened to our concerns. After brief negotiations, we settled on a price and drove her away. We've had her for 2.5 months and always say, "I love this car." She's already been a workhorse for us. She's hauled boats, jet skis, atvs, and we loaded on separate trips from the hardware store 800lbs of gravel, a new dishwasher, lumber, plywood, etc. We needed a vehicle that was family friendly, strong, reliable, gently used and comfortable. I took my pickup truck in to the service dept. with the brake light and engine light showing on the dash. They said I need front and rear brakes and the engine light was diagnosed that I needed to replace the EGR valve. $2100 later I drove away and the light came back on after ten miles. I took it back and they now said I needed new catalytic converters at a cost of $2000. Because of the high price of the brake job and the EGR valve I decided to get another opinion about the catalytic converters. I called a local muffler shop and was told that if the truck starts and runs fine then the catalytic converters do not need replacement. He suggested that I put in a bottle of fuel injector cleaner which cost me $12. After 25 miles the engine light went off and the truck has continued to run great. I asked the manager if he thought that there was any problem with this? Why couldn't his service techs suggest a cheaper fix for me after already spending $2000 on new brakes and the EGR valve ? He said that they read the diagnostic and told me what it said. He did not feel that his mechanics had no reason or obligation to suggest or offer me a cheaper solution to the problem. Great car buying experience. I had ordered a Ram 1500 online during the weekend then called the dealer to follow up. It turns out they received one over the weekend that had almost everything I had ordered. I spoke with Jeff who was very nice and was not aggressive or pushy at all. I liked the truck and since it was being offered at a very fair price I did not bother haggling over that. I did have a trade in however that they offered me a low number, I let them know what number I felt it should be, they came back and offered me a number very close to that it the deal was sealed. Jeff and the finance manager took quite a bit of time to show me the vehicle and to make sure everything worked properly. Upon picking up the vehicle it was very clean and well put together. This was a great buying experience and I recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a Fiat product. read more

Would rate 0 stars if I could. I have never had so little faith in humanity after dealing with Pierce Auto Center. I bought a vehicle from them two years ago and have been putting off writing a review because every time I think about how slimy, scheming, and generally morally empty this establishment is I am sick to my stomach. I bought my car from them in June of 2021 and within 24 hours had a check engine light come on. After immediately trying to return the car and essentially getting laughed at we had them read the codes, drive it around "fix" it and then return it to me like everything was fine BEFORE I left to drive 2,000 miles across the country solo as a young woman. Made it to Pennsylvania before all the lights came back on and wound up with over 6k in repairs. We ended up by pure luck finding the woman who owned the car before me and traded it in at pierce for pennies on the dollar for what they sold it to me for after they used fear tactics to convince this older woman to buy and finance a new Subaru with them and trade her car in for a minuscule amount. They had told her the car would not last and then turned around and sold it to me. Disrespectful, untrustworthy, dishonest, the list goes on. I know multiple people who have been sold problematic cars from this dealership. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. All withheld from me. I asked for a Carfax and unbeknown to me I didn't know there was another called "AutoCheck" which is what they gave me. Now I can't get anyone to take it on trade because the CARFAX is so bad. The dealership owner admitted to knowing that there was potential odometer change but then didn't disclose it until after the sale when I found out about it from another dealer. There's definitely evil out there folks. Unethical. And don't worry I am going the attorney route. They replaced a motor in my pickup under warranty. they charged the warranty company over $7,000 dollars for the work. a few month later I noticed my transmission making noise and my starter not engaging in cold weather. I changed transmission fluid and noticed a CRACK in the engine block that had been Spot welded back together. When I confronted them they offered me $500 back for the issue or I could pay them to install a different motor. This motor should never have been installed to begin with. Also when this first happened they told me to replace multiple things such a the coil pack. However I swapped coils to check the code and see if it changed cylinders when I did this. It did not, same code same cylinder. I brought it to them and they said it change codes when they did this. I marked the coil packs and they never swapped them out at all. I had to bring my truck to a FORD dealer to get the right answer on what was wrong with the motor. Pierce Auto lied directly to my face and are the worst dealer I have ever dealt with. After talking with other people around the area I am not the only one to have issues with them. RUN RUN RUN... Please take my advice and do not buy any vehicle or have any repair work done at this dealer. read more

We were excited that a Dodge dealer, Pierce Auto Center, came to Sagle, eliminating the need to go to Post Falls. That excitement died when we got our Dodge Van back from an oil change, brake and transmission inspection. With 67,000 miles on a self contained transmission, we were told it was on schedule for a transmission flush (we found later transmission flush was due at 120,000 miles) Second, when we picked up the van after being told it was ready, we asked about the brakes. Lots of blank stares from the crew huddled around the service desk, when finally one mechanic "thought they were at 40%", wouldn't confirm if they were actually checked. Then, after paying the bill, we noticed while driving the van it was idling very rough and at a higher RPM, very unusual. Well, we decided we better take the van elsewhere, like to Parker Brothers in CDA where I normally take the Tundra. Low and behold they found the rough engine issue...the van had been over filled by 2 quarts of oil, oil had gotten into the air filter restricting airflow. Parker Brothers redid the oil change, replaced the filter and cleaned up oil splatter, Van runs fine now. Brakes, well, it turned out we had rotors that needed to be replaced and rear brakes had an issue the caliper which caused a pad to pressed against the rotor, something that should have picked up during the inspection. Needless to say, we will not be returning to Pierce Auto Center in Sagle, whose negligence in performing an oil change could have damaged our van. And yes, we had Parker Brothers document what they found. So folks, beware. This was our experience. read more

They had a good price on a used car that we had been looking for for a long time. Sales people were nice and no hard sale because we knew what we wanted and how much we wanted to pay. Sale went well but after sale help was nonexistent. Sales person and sales manager failed to mention a recall that was on the car (airbags) they had supposedly checked. BS. Any time VIN# is typed in recall information pops up immediately. They had sent the wrong information to Department of Licensing,so when I went to get title and plates I could not. Then was unable to get a hold of either sales person to follow up on getting this taken care of. Not happy with after sale help. read more

Bought a truck here a month ago. So regretting that decision. So many issues. Took the 2007 Dodge Ram for a test drive. Salesman (John) could only point at the radio and tell us it "changes colors." Ummm... Neat, I guess. Buying a truck, not a radio. He had ZERO knowledge of the vehicle. Stared at us dumbfounded when negotiating. Eventually, bought the truck and signed papers. An hour later in Spokane, we heard the strangest noise coming from the rear end of the vehicle. It was a "chatter" when turning the wheel. Turns out the clamps in Posi-Traction case (I am NOT a mechanic, I'm sure there is a real name for this part) had shattered and were floating in the case and oil within. Multiple phone calls to John and management have yielded zero results or compensation. At one point we were told we should have taken the warranty they offered but was never actually offered. Upon management's review of our paperwork, they acknowledged they did not offer us a warranty because we "got such a good deal" on the truck. So, we got a great deal on a BROKEN truck. Basically, we got one big "sucks to be you" from everyone we talked to. At one point, my husband and John got into an actual screaming match (one month post purchase) via phone. My husband is an elementary school PE teacher, his patience and kindness are immeasurable, for reference. Customer service is important and even though we fixed the truck on our own, we would NEVER recommend buying from here. read more

I traveled from Montana to Sagle Idaho to purchase a 2008 Ford. I was trading in a 2015 Chevy. I was looking to downsize due to the recent purchase of a ranch. I spent a lot of time asking questions that were often difficult for the salesman to answer. Ultimately decided to drive down this past Saturday to look at the truck. It's a 400 mile round trip. It was not disclosed to me that the engine has been replaced until after I had signed paperwork and had issues with the truck upon arriving home. I had asked for a list of what had been replaced and was told the tires and the windshield. I was told everything was in working order except the backup camera. I had the opportunity to drive it and the roads were bumpy so I didn't give it a second thought on what the steering felt like. Within 3 hours of leaving the dealership I noticed multiple issues on the drive home which was 4 hours. I immediately called at the 3-hour Mark to explain my issues with the steering, smell of antifreeze when the heater is on, heater only working at one temperature with a faulty fan, when we stopped to eat there was a leak underneath the vehicle, key fob didn't work, brake light was out. I was told I would have to wait until the manager was in on Monday to address this so there was no point in turning around to return the truck. On Monday I was able to speak with a manager, John who I felt was dismissive and condescending. They said they would fix the heater but the other issues were to be expected of a used vehicle. this would require me to come back on a day Monday through Friday because they don't operate mechanical shop on the weekends. This of course will result in another 400 mile round trip. I asked to speak with the owner, Nick. Ask him what recourse I had such as returning this truck potentially getting a different one or getting my trade back. he told me there is no cool off. And even though I called within 3 hours I now own the vehicle. Told me that even though I called within 3 hours that he was just being nice by offering to fix the heater and he actually didn't owe me anything. They are repeatedly told me that I was getting a 2008 truck which was going to have problems and not going to be perfect. I informed them the neighbor even just close to me until I called with issues that the engine had been replaced and I had asked beforehand for a copy of things that had been replaced. This was overall a terrible experience with very poor customer service. this isn't a truck I drove for 30 days and then wanted to take back those two as a truck I drove for 3 hours and immediately had issues with. Crap learning experience for me but I will only be dealing with large, reliable dealerships from here on out. Buy used here at your own risk. Plenty of other dealerships offer 3 day guarantee - And some even 30 days. I would suggest you bypass this place. read more

I have been in this dealership several times as a potential buyer over the years since they come to town, and always ended up never buying because of the aggressive vibe from everyone but their service guy (who I've had service my vehicles with no real complaint). As an aside, I have purchased four vehicles from Reynolds Auto across the Hwy. I had heard that Pierce Auto Center had a reputation for being short with people and sometimes rude, but I have been willing to give them a chance. However, today was the last time I go in there. Why go somewhere were you get abused for asking basic questions or for dressing in jeans and nice t-shirt. I'm a four generation resident of Bonner County and I've seen a lot of businesses come and go. When they go it's mainly because of poor customer service. My prediction is this business will tank sooner or later, mainly because of the power tripper manager, Nick. Not a good experience for me, or my extended family, and I am committed to spreading the warning about this dealership. There are some really good options in the Sagle / Sandpoint area. So, while I hate to not be able to recommend a local business, this outfit has a lot of growing up to do! read more

My truck was running great with no problems. Then I took my truck in for oil change and spark plugs check/replaced/ general service and have my computer re-set( going on a trip). Left there with low oil in the engine, transmission slipping, no AC, imbalance in the front of the truck at 62 miles an hour and no windshield wiper fluid and computer not re-set. Question about spark plugs being changed??? Wanted to charge a fortune for the so-called problems ( which I knew I did not have). Told them absolutely not. Spoke with the Mechanic and the OWNER with absolutely no satisfaction or explanation or believable response . Contacted Dealer in Post Falls and they got me onto their schedule for 2 days later. My experience with Pierce started out ok but proved it may have been a mistake even purchasing a car there. I bought a jeep and was told the sunroof worked fine and just needed a switch which they had already ordered. Switch came but the sunroof still didn't work. I live about an hour drive away from this place. I went back 2 more times before the sunroof was actually working however it was still not working properly and would not shut which they should have fixed before sending me home. The sunroof then leaked everywhere and water poured out of the roof of my car and yet again had to go back. This time they assured me that the sunroof was shut and would not leak but to just live with it and not use the sunroof. He also stated they had done everything they could for me and already spent $500 on me. Still the sunroof was leaking so I went back again making this the 5th time. He told me that the part needed was discontinued and there wasn't another one in the world (but my dad was able to find one easily) and that they had now spent over $1000 and the owner would not spend anymore money nor buy anymore parts for me. I'm interested to know how they spent another $500 in a week without buying any other parts. He said "it is what it is" and he doesn't know how to make me happy. I was more than understanding through this whole ordeal and was not offered anything for my inconvenience. They wouldn't let me forget the money they had spent on me and made me feel as though this was my fault. He said they would not have sold me the car if they knew this would happen. Overall a terrible experience and the customer service of this place is unacceptable. Do not buy a car from here. They do not stand by their customers or the cars they sell contrary to what they say.
