The venue delivered chaos, incompetence, and humiliation rather than the wedding we trusted them to provide. From the start, setup was a nightmare. Rhonda made the experience unnecessarily difficult. She tried to squeeze us into only half of the hall, despite our clear agreement and guest count. She continuously argued about how we chose to set things up and even questioned our food selections, decisions that were already finalized and paid for. We did not hire Rhonda as our planner / decorator so it came as a complete shock to have her interfering with so many of our choices. What should have been a smooth, joyful setup quickly turned into a frustrating experience due to her overstepping and lack of respect for our plans. She repeatedly refused to allow us to set up our own equipment, and only after escalating to the owner were we finally permitted to proceed. This kind of disorganization at the outset set the tone for the event The food was an embarrassment. Cold, bland, and generic, it tasted like frozen banquet hall food. We chose family-style service, yet there weren't even enough pieces of chicken for each table. Guests were disappointed, and it was humiliating to serve such subpar meals on what should have been a celebratory day. The staff's behavior was blatantly unprofessional. During the ceremony, speeches AND first dances, employees were laughing and talking in the back, forcing multiple guests to ask them to quiet down. Then came the issue with the ID, which was completely unnecessary and humiliating. Not a single guest, including my husband and all of my bridesmaids, was asked for identification. Yet I, the bride, was singled out on the dance floor and publicly demanded to show ID, which was in the bridal suite since I wasn't carrying a purse. I calmly offered to go retrieve it, but instead I was ordered to dump out my drink in front of everyone. Already embarrassed and trying not to make a scene, I did as instructed, feeling like my night had been completely ruined. As I stood there, the operations manager / bartender, and several employees watched and whispered as if I had done something wrong. It was degrading, uncalled for, and completely unprofessional. Even after the reception ended and we were tearing down THE NEXT DAY, staff continued to harass me and family members for identification. To make matters worse, the security guard on duty was drinking on the job. This selective and disrespectful treatment was invasive and unacceptable. Every staff member was tipped reasonably, so this behavior was not about compensation. It appears to be ingrained negligence and poor leadership from management. This venue is utterly unprofessional. Between the disorganized setup, terrible food, disruptive staff, unsafe security practices, and the humiliating selective ID enforcement, our wedding was marred by stress, embarrassment, and frustration rather than joy. I strongly advise any couple to avoid this venue entirely if you expect your wedding day to be handled with professionalism or respect.

Joelle and Miriam were truly the most incredible coordinators. They were so on top of the planning as we approached the wedding and helped us keep all the details straight, make timelines, communicate with vendors, and make sure nothing important was forgotten. On the day of, they were prepared for everything, made sure the day ran smoothly, and took all of the stress away so we could just be present and enjoy the day. The catering was AMAZING - the food was incredible and all of our guests were absolutely thrilled. The charcuterie table was absolutely everything, and they even set aside a personal tray for us to make sure we got the chance to eat at cocktail hour! The pizza was truly wonderful, and they did an amazing job of coordinating personal pizzas for our guests with allergies. Our friends and family are still raving about our pizza wedding! We are so incredibly happy with our experience with Wooden Paddle, thank you so much for the most wonderful wedding!!

After being seated, we waited about 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging us or even bringing us water. During those 15 minutes, another party was seated at the table next to us. Almost immediately, a waitress came over with waters for them. She noticed that we didn't have any and told us, "I'll be right back with some waters for you." Instead, she returned without the waters and proceeded to take the neighboring table's order, even though we had been seated about 15 minutes before they arrived. At that point, it was clear we weren't being attended to, so we got up and left. We understand that restaurants can get busy, but simply being acknowledged and treated in the order we arrived would have made a big difference. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling overlooked, and we won't be returning

From the very beginning, we knew FFT was the right vendor for us because they took our favorite foods and crafted a completely customized menu perfectly tailored to what we enjoyed and what we envisioned for the event. From there, they then worked with us to refine the menu as we kept coming up with crazy ideas. We literally emailed Anna about how we had just tasted a delicious Oreo brownie and she had it added to our desserts right away. We also wanted a very custom bar menu, and they worked with us to get us all the different brands we were looking for, going so far as to drive to Indiana to source some of them. The other aspect of their menu that made such an impact was all the interactive food stations. Everything is so creatively presented and designed. At our tasting, Anna had literally taken elements of our décor and paper goods and other motifs and woven them throughout the presentations from custom serving trays to glass designs. Everything felt intentional and thought out. Guests were constantly praising this attention to detail. Every station had some element of action to it as well, making everything feel like a unique experience. In all of this, the food was all delicious. We wish we can eat and experience it all over again. We still dream of Chef Arlene's Guava and Cheese Empanadas. Throughout the process, Anna was extremely easy to work with and very responsive. One thing we wanted to highlight was that we wanted to be very careful with allergens. Despite the high number of dishes, Anna did a fantastic job working to highlight all the possible allergens in every item, taking the request very seriously. We also wanted to praise the service for the actual day-of catering. They had their full team there, and the professional service was fantastic from top to bottom. Our guests praised the food endlessly, and people who were planning their wedding wanted to know all the background details into our catering choice. That is just more proof that Food for Thought was the perfect caterer, and we couldn't have asked for anything more.
