Really, really great place. I used to live in France, and it gives away exactly the same ambiance as restaurants I used to visit there. The service was good, the food was EXCELLENT, everything, starting from appetizers, through entrees, to deserts... I just hosted my engagement at PG and I couldn't be happier with the way everything turned out. Management is very professional and obviously skilled at event planning. The food was ridiculously good (omg! Armenian parents eating frog legs & escargot...priceless), the service was excellent and the whole look & feel of the place was more than I could ask for. The DJ and singer were wonderful as well, kept the whole crowd dancing till 2AM! PG has my highest recommendation - by FAR beats all the local venues with class and style! read more

For beer drinkers, they also have a surprising selection of quality beer to go along with the food. I finally went by Pierre Garden. It's more of a place for special occasions because of the design. I would only go here if it's for a special occasion. Our group of 7 went there for 'lunch' about 3 pm. There were few men in the bar area but no one in the dining area. We sat at one of the round tables (seating 10) and got drinks and the menu. It was quite a while before we got to order and more time lapsed before we got our meal. But we are a gregarious group and enjoyed the quiet time just trading stories and laughing with no other diners to complain. Our waitress was sweet and patient; she admitted most of their business is banquets (this explained the tables for 10). We all agreed the food was good but not spectacular. Two of us had the pear salad which was tasty but a bit on the wilty side -- probably because it waited too long to be served. The other person thought it had way too much dressing on it. For those of you for whom slow service is a bummer, you might want to avoid this place to keep your blood pressure down. read more

HUGE MISTAKE... the reason y I'm writing this now and not the very next day of that nightmare is again because I went there that night... there was no place for dancing u could barely hear the music, room filled twice or even three times it's capacity they even squeezed a table right in front of the restroom so we couldn't even go to the restroom...no place to walk ... worst food.. horrible drinks...for entertainment we had live CNN on YouTube I mean I could've done that at home...ppl left before celebrating the midnight countdown... in other words I wasted money, time and had the worst New Years experience and was extremely embarrassed in front of my guests... To Whom It May Concern: I was a recent customer at your new restaurant. I was excited to try it out with my friends since we were all celebrating birthdays. Now, from the start, your customer service was often unpleasant. Hoping that by reserving our seating, our arrival would be no problem concerning our party but, instead, your hostess uninterestedly pointed to our table insinuating that our presence was going too much of a problem. We understand you are a new restaurant, you have new employees so our focus was more on the quality of food (for what a nice hispanic waiter was the only one who helps us). Aside from that, and the most important attribute to a successful business is being, at least, timely with your service. We waited almost one hour and thirty minutes for our meals! How is that the good service? No apologies or warning that our food would arrive late. Your restaurant would be in the category of celebrating a special event and, to my disbelief, there is NO complementary pastry. Aside from that, your service was poor, unsatisfying and a little to expensive for the poor quality of the welcoming. It had almost ruined our good time. We work for an important sector of the city's school district and we consider to have in an important part of promoting our local restaurants with our community. I think it is imperative that your restaurant make immediate changes to your service. I strongly believe that none of our co-workers of City Of Glendale will go again to your restaurant. The food is very disapointing. The so called Pommes Allumettes are soggy, imbibed in oil, shame on them for putting something like that on the table. The Onion Soup is extremmely salty, the meat was overcooked even though I asked for medium done. We celebrated birthday party at this place in last week, the food and service was normal not bad.But we didn't like the music, the musician band didn't look like they were professional, there, it was 3 men and one women singing. The singers did not sing like Armenian songs that people would like, and dance to.What I mean is popular Armenian party songs. Absolutely Awesome dinner! Obviously one of the best chef's in California. My wife and I went in for dinner. We were greeted by a very friendly and professional hostess. The service was excellent from beginning to the end. We never felt rushed yet our every need was tended to by our knowledgeable server and diligent busboy. The meal started with a complimentary homemade fresh bread and fresh melon and proscuitto. Our server suggested a very nice Pinot from their beer and wine list that complimented our dinner very nicely. We had a delicious Pierre Garden salad with warm pears. A spinach gnocchi with Bolognese sauce that was melt in your mouth superb! For entrees we had Coq Au Vin and a Kobe burger. Both entrees were fresh and cooked to perfection. If you want everything to go wrong in one night that could possibly go wrong, go here. That would include, them spilling wine on you, from head to toe. Breaking the glass in front of your feet. Wet table cloth, and not changed until you ask them for 3 times. They took the silverware, and brought food and expected us to eat without a fork. Pouring wine in your beer glass. Brining your salad with blue cheese, when the menu didn't specify there was even cheese in the salad. Half the people got the salad, while the others waited, and then came the other salads and soups, and they had taken the salads who were done, but they had no clue who ate and who didn't and they served some people two salads and on and on. Dinner came out in two and a half hours from order time. Waiter only apologized for spilling the wine. While the owner stood there and stared at the mess on the floor, he didn't even bother to come and say something. Customer service SUCKS. French restaurant, my a.. There was a singer there lip singing Armenian, Russian and God knows what, but I didn't hear any French songs. Somebody has to take me back with a gun to my head. They need help in running a restaurant, making sure when it says French food, that they actually have some French food and the ambiance is French, not international. We have been waiting for the Pierre Garden to open for months, it was definitely worth the wait. My husband and I went to dinner last night and really enjoyed the experience! The dining room is very pretty...white table clothes and cool chairs that are comfortable. We were celebrating so we both did a full 3 course meal. After ordering our drinks, a bus boy comes around offering three types of fresh bread made by the chef with pesto and/or butter. Then, the waiter brings an amuse bouche of prosciutto & melon. As with everything we ate, it was a classic with a twist. The twist here was a vinaigrette on the melon. Delicious! Then we both had the Soupe A L'Oignon (very good, the broth was unlike other onions soups we have had) and the Escargot en Croute. The escargot was served in little dishes and each had a pastry top. The pastry was light and flaky and soaked up the garlic butter of escargot... yummy. For our main courses, I had the Duck with Dragonfruit Sauce and my husband had Roast Leg of Lamb. Both dinners were amazing! The dinners also came with these delicious mashed potatoes unlike anything I have had before. Portion sizes were appropriate and the plating was beautiful but not outrageous. Believe it or not we did not room for dessert. The owner was also very knowledgeable about the wines and has some great ideas for events in the future. The prices were reasonable for fantastic french food. The service was attentive but not overly so. We would definitely recommend Pierre Garden!!! read more

Last night was my first visit to the Pierre Garden restaurant. If we had paid any attention to some of the reviews on this site we would have missed out on a wonderful dinner!. Our group of five sampled many dishes and the food was very good. The Mussels were a particular favorite--resplendent with a delicious garlic sauce and cooked just right. Everyone really enjoyed the grilled salad too. We tried the Duck breast, Kobe Beef Burger and a Pork dish. All exceeded expectations. . This cuisine is a fusion one, and a bit different, but the chef is very talented and definitely knows what he is doing. Service was good and most willing. Our waiter went far out of his way to accommodate our one vegetarian diner. We had a delightful evening! read more

Where do I begin, where!! As a planner its my job to write reviews of venues that I host events at. On Dec 20th was our Hoover High School 1991 Reunion that I and Charlie planned. This is one venue that I can chill and know that the staff will take care of everything. I have lost count of how many times I have hosted an event here from my Spas to young Artist performing at the restaurant. Having a great business relationship with the General Manager is a plus, I must say. Petros truly loves what he does just like me and he is so organized that he will make it happen no matter what. Having the event at the bar was awesome and very intimate. This venue just makes you feel like at home. The bartender for that night was Rachel, who was on top of things and made sure I got what I wanted. You have no idea how helpful that is as a planner to have someone like that. I recommend this venue to anyone hosting any kind of events becaused they make sure that it fits in your budget. I honestly can say I never ever had any problems at all and always go back. The Appetizers we had was delicious and all my guests were happy. So I wish there was more stars I could give because they deserve a 10. Merry Christmas to Pierre Garden and Happy New Year. VERY disappointed!!! Rented the hall for a party (75 people, May 31, 2014) and it miserably FAILED. BAD SERVICE. 1.Party started early at 6pm. We agreed for the food to come out @745pm. 2.The main course came out @ 820pm....Wait, it gets better, only ONE PLATE came out. YES, ONE PLATE for 10 people per table. 3. Rest of food came out an HOUR LATER!!! 4.Five out of Seven tables complained and asked for more food. My guests were VERY angry and disappointed. 5.They served the desserts when my guests were leaving. 6.I personally had to make a waitress aware of a table being out of Black Label in order to refill! 7.Spoke with owner or man in charge (Petros) the next day re the situation and he told me "I'm so sorry, I feel bad but I can't do anything for you at this point"!!! In my opinion, STAY AWAY from Pierre Garden in Glendale. It was a very important day for my daughter, family and friends and they embarresed us. Went there for a lunch last Sun. Was intrigued by the idea of a brand new French place in the neighborhood. They were very busy serving a large party so we got not so much attention even tough the waiter apologized later. The food (we took 2 appetizer and a chicken dish) were all right but what turned me off was an amazingly poor service. They had a couple of guys who were sort of waiter assistants and who did not pay attention that we did not have napkins and utensils. Also when we asked for extra lemon they brought two pieces and put them directly on the table cloth like they did not have any plates. I do not recall seeing such things in a long time. Twice now all five of us have tried to eat at this new restaurant but have not been able to. Last Sunday the 21st we showed up around noon and it was closed because, evidently, the chef did not show up! Again we tried today for their grand opening and arrived at 11:45am only to be told that it was their grand opening and food would not be served until after 2pm [there were lots of people there standing around and shaking hands and possible waiting for a photo op because they were taking pictures with the staff mixing drinks] so we went elsewhere again. We had the news paper ad regarding their "Grand Opening" with us but it said nothing about no food until after 2pm. In all fairness we will try once more to try their food before we Levy an opinion to all our friends. read more

My fiancé and I stumbled in here on Christmas night. We were looking for some place that was open and after our attempt at the Jewish deli failed, we decided to check out the old stand-by, Chinese. The parking lot at China Inn across the street was full so we drove down Maryland to park at the Exchange. We saw lights and people at Pierre Garden and realized it was open. I have driven by many times and always see the happy hour signs, but have never gone. There were a few people eating in the front bar area and we looked at the menu and decided to stay. I'm glad we did. Honestly, the food was really good. The bread and chimichurri type sauce to dip was great. We ordered zucchini chips and borek as appetizers. OMG, the zucchini chips are sooo good. They are light and crispy and melt in your mouth. The borek is good (puff pastry with cheese) but not enough cheese for me and probably a little heavy and filling. I should have just got more bread and dip. lol I was just too enamored with the zucchini chips anyway. I had a shredded pork sandwich with shoestring garlic fries on the side. Really good. The meat was tender and flavorful without being slathered in sauce BBQ style (not a sauce fan). The bun was beautiful and airy. And the fries were delicious but very garlicky and my breath was atrocious later as my fiancé will attest to. But worth it at the time. He had a chicken kabob plate and enjoyed that as well. The price was very, very reasonable. The fancier dinner items were much more expensive but for all the delicious food we got, the price was amazing. There weren't a lot of staffers there. Amanda I believe her name is, was bartending and servicing the table. She was running around from bar to kitchen to table. I am usually thirsty when I eat and she refilled my iced tea several times and was really nice. There was a private party starting in the back and they started playing weird music but other than that, I was pretty impressed and excited to have found such a great meal on Christmas night of all nights. The food was delicious, everyone enjoy it and kept talking about it all weekend, Even the chef came to greet us at the end, that was a nice gesture on his behalf. We had a Halloween party last night at Pierre Garden. It was buffet style and there were tables all around. The place was decorated really nicely for the Halloween and it had a real cozy vibe to it. $50 per person, alcohol and DJ included. I would really recommend everyone, for business and personal events. It's great for showers, birthday parties, Religious events, fund raisers....
