Definitely a must try! The pizza is New York style. It's fresh and hot every time. Even just a plain cheese pizza tastes amazing! The staff is nice and gets the food made decently quickly. The pizza is worth every penny. 10/10

Sometimes the best kept secrets are right under your nose. New York style pizza isn't exactly abundant in the midwest, and unless you consider the overpriced mall outlets such as Sbarro, Villa, and Famous Famiglia legitimate options, you will scarcely find a shop that knows how to make it. Insert Pierre - a New York transplant who relocated to Akron following the horrific 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Pizza was a family affair for Pierre, whose relatives owned a pizza parlor in Brooklyn where he honed his skills part-time. Following his move to Akron, he decided to bring the taste of the Big Apple to Northeast Ohio and opened up his Kenmore Blvd shop. The location doesn't stand out to the casual passerby, but the signage is visible if you're looking for it. While working a side detail in Kenmore I had a sudden craving for pizza - so I did what many people do - consult Yelp! After reading countless rave reviews about Pierre's, I had to find out for myself. I walked in and was greeted by Pierre, a pleasant soft spoken gentleman, and ordered two slices of cheese. After running them through the conveyor oven, they were placed on a paper plate and inserted into a small bag. I would have ordered a large, but my self control won that particular day. The pizza was fabulous and baked just right. The sauce was savory and the cheese evenly distributed. I have made it my mission to find every reason to stop by here, even if it's out of the way. Check it out, it's the real deal and the owner is a awesome person!

We were in Akron visiting family when we decided to try pizza from Pierre's. The pizza was really good, both wife and kids really enjoyed it. We also enjoyed talking with Pierre himself. He told us how he ended up in Akron after leaving NYC in the aftermath of 9/11. We will be sure to eat Pierre's next time we're in town and want pizza

I would say, easily the best pizza in Akron. The food is always delicious, fresh, and the speed in which the food comes out is great. Love the owners!

The pizza is absolutely excellent. Whenever I go into Akron I have to stop at the shop to get pizza or mad at myself that I missed the opportunity. They offer a lunch special where you can buy single slices of pizza. They're run and operated by a family. Dining area is available but small. I really want to give the shop five stars but I cannot because of the tiramisu. I bought a piece of the tiramisu and brought it home to discover that it had fuzzy gray mold on the top. I was so sad. Don't buy the tiramisu ---get the pizza!!

Best Pizza I have found so far in Akron! I was introduced to Pierre's by a coworker of mine who said that he had heard their pizza was fantastic. It is about 15 minutes away from where I live so I had yet to try it but this evening I was driving home and realized I was going to be near this area of Akron. So I gave Pierre's a call. The lady who answered the phone was mildly friendly. I told her that I was unfamiliar with their menu and asked for some suggestions. She recommended that I try their Bella Tia Maria Pizza. So I ordered a large one and headed on over to pick it up. It is located near the i77/i76 Kenmore Leg. When I arrived I noticed that it is located in an older area that did not seem like the nicest area of town, but did not seem unsafe either. It is a very small shop with a small waiting area and a kitchen you can see into in the back. They had various flavors of chips and drinks and side salads displayed as well as a few cheesecakes. They looked like your typical frozen cheesecake but looked pretty good so I went ahead and got a slice of Oreo cheesecake as well. The lady who I talked to on the phone was the only one working and quickly finished my pizza and rang me up. She was pretty enthusiastically sure that I would love the pizza and would definitely be back for more. And she was right. The pizza was great! It smelled great, it looked great and it tasted great! The Bella Tia Maria Pizza comes with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, sauce made with extra virgin olive oil and fresh garlic. Now when Pierre's puts garlic as a pizza topping on their menu -- believe it! There was definitely a very strong garlic flavor on this and that was wonderful! The sauce was very obviously handcrafted and all of the topping tasted fresh. The pepperoni was perfectly crispy and it was very enjoyable overall. I only have one complaint though; and it is a big one for me. It was almost enough to drop the review down to four stars. It seems that no one can get their bottom of the crust cooked right in this area. When you slightly fold in a New York style pizza, the edges should be strong enough to hold up the body of the pizza, unlike as seen in my pictures. Next time I visit I will ask for slightly crispier dough, but I am not sure they will be able to do it without overcooking the rest since the top of the pizza was absolutely perfect. Overall though I think it was the best pizza I have had in Akron. I will definitely return and look forward to trying more of their options!

It's a very small place but the man at the counter was really nice! It has a very small, nice feel to it. Four tables total so not ideal for big parties but good to drop in if you're hungry. I was a bit skeptical of trying the food, since the place wasn't too flashy. I ordered the calzone and two breadsticks. The food was absolutely amazing! The calzone was perfect with the right balance of sauce and bread. The breadsticks weren't too hard or soft, they were perfect. If you're in Barberton, venture down to Pierre's Pizza and Deli. It's worth the trip!

We hadn't been here before, but she has been waiting 25 years to come here. She has lived in Akron for all her life, and Kenmore for 10 of those. The bread was soggy, the ingredients were not quality whatsoever, it even looks like they cooked the sandwich with the lettuce on it. The pickles, the only thing free with this expensive meal, were soggy. We paid $41 for this meal for just utter disappointment. Not only that, but these are MAGA Trumpers, displayed everywhere, which is embarrassing in a town with such diversity as Kenmore has. Most of your customers are black, so this is just insulting.

The day has finally arrived, you've spent all week hittin the weights and huffin on the treadmill…read morestriving to get that body even the Rock would envy BUT today is special. It's cheat day! Yes my friend today is the day you sink your teeth into a delicious piece of pizza, tasty fried chicken or anything else to save your sanity. Well I have just the place for you. Tucked deep inside a residential neighborhood in Kenmore lies a fantastic little market, and in said market is some of the best take out food around. Well what's the place man? Where is this oasis you speak of? Well folks I'm talking about Showcase Meats located at 1971 16 St SW just off of Kenmore Blvd in Akron. A family owned business that's been around for over 40 years, Showcase Meats was built on word of mouth so clearly they're doing something right. The market is small and there is zero seating (take out place remember) but that's ok. Once inside you're greeted by classic Americana eats such as pizza, fried chicken, jo jo's, wings, a bakery case full of fresh pastries and more. Showcase also offers specialty pizzas, hot sandwiches as well as hot and cold subs made fresh to order. There are a few salad choices on the menu but I have to be honest, I'm not here to eat salad (please don't judge). Today I opted for a meatball sub and it was on point! What makes Showcase a such a jewel is cost, you can easily walk out of Showcase with a crazy good lunch for under $10, not too shabby! To the rear of the market you'll see 2 show cases, one full of a nice variety of fresh tasty meats and another showcase packed with side salads such as ham salad, rigatoni salad, potato salad and much much more. Showcase also sells meat bundles for anyone looking to stock up the freezer. Like I've said this place is small but it's got all the bases covered. Showcase just keeps it simple and I like that. The market has great carry out food and a decent selection of eats to take home for a nice family dinner or cookout. Showcase also caters so next time you're having a get together give em a call! If there's one thing I'd change about this place it would be the parking, if they're busy it can be a challenge but a challenge I'm willing to accept to eat here. Cheers!

Might be tempted to give it a second chance but it'll be awhile. We both got a meal and a drink and it came to $35 so already not off to a great start. There were only 2 other people eating inside but it took 40 minutes to get our food. A lot, a lot of to go orders, but still, expected some kind of priority for dine in. The cashier and the woman who brought our food said a quick apology , but that was about it. My wife didn't finish her food, took it home just to toss it out. She got the Italian sub and pickle fries. The sub was incredible dry according to her. I took a bite and thought it was extremely lackluster for the price point. It definitely could have used mayo, oil, vinegar, etc though. The pickle fries were okay, very crunchy but decent flavor. I got a specialty menu item that was a 1/2 pound burger with various toppings and fries. There were so many fries I could barely see my sandwich. However, the fries were cold, despite the long wait... and unseasoned entirely. They reminded me of fair fries which isn't the end of the world but some salt would have been nice. The burger was very good and I enjoyed it, my wife also liked it but unfortunately that didn't make up for 3/4 of our order not being very good and taking a long time. Also a note that it is VERY loud inside. Phone ringing off the hook. Clanking of the spatulas on the grill. Some games next to the booths. Definitely not a quiet place. We were very disappointed with this visit and hope next time is better, if there is one.
