Went here at 5pm on. Saturday to meet some friends for a drink and some food. We each had young children. The bar employees were quite rude when we asked for high chairs, snarking they don't have any available here. Looking around there were multiple families who both young children on their laps. Hard pass on this place. Not sure why we've never been before, but we finally checked out Missing Falls Brewery this weekend -- and we're glad we did! The building was easy to find, and while the parking lot is large, it seems to serve several nearby businesses, so finding a spot took a little searching. Once inside, we grabbed seats at the bar and were greeted quickly. The bartenders were friendly and got us menus right away. I ordered a flight and tried Golden Zip, Mango Rx, Nice Pear!, and Get to Steppin'. Nice Pear! was the standout -- a super crisp, light cider with a ton of flavor. Mango Rx came in second for me: great flavor, smooth, and not too heavy. For food, I chose the New Kind of Kick sandwich, which features a spicy garlic crispy chicken breast topped with beer-battered jalapeño slices, bleu cheese, and peppered bacon on a ciabatta roll. It was absolutely delicious. The fresh-cut fries were great, too. We also grabbed the mozzarella planks after seeing several tables order them. They were definitely tasty, but the marinara sauce didn't quite match the quality -- pretty basic and a little disappointing compared to how good the planks themselves were. I've been to so many of these types of places that they're all blending together. Nothing really stood out to me. The food was fine, the service was fine, the decor was fine....its just all so...the same as every other brewery. You have to order at the bar, which I don't love. It was also literally 95 degrees outside and there was no AC that I could discern in this place. Just random fans in certain places. It's worth it once, but I don't know if I'll be back. Visited Missing Falls based on a recommendation from my daughter. Upon arrival, we seated ourselves. It became apparent that we had to go to the bar to place our drink and food requests. I am not a fan of that, but it is what it is. I started off with a cider, which was sweet and tasty. The wings sounded good, so we requested the cajun dry rub. My daughter requested a chicken wrap with fries, I requested the Greek salad, and my wife, a pizza. About 20 minutes later, our food was delivered. The wings were incredible. The chicken was of great quality and the house made cajun dry rub was superb with just a hint of heat. My daughter very much injoyed her chicken wrap. My Greek salad was the best I've ever had. They paid attention to detail when making it because all the veggies and chicken were diced to the same size, which I very much appreciated. The house made dressing was the bomb. Food great, service mixed. We went at 3:39 pm on a Thursday and everyone was seated at the bar. There were 2 employees, both behind the bar. We seated ourselves and finally went up to the bar to order. Tip defaults to 20% which I did but the only service is they bring the food out & cleared. I had a BLAT, husband had a Rubber City classic burger with garlic & parm pretzels. Both sandwiches came with really greasy fries. I'm no beer connoisseur but I got a mango something beer and it was really bitter. I probably didn't read right or something. I do wonder about their name but it's not on their website and they got too busy to ask. Definitely worth the .6 mi walk from Akron Children's Hospital. read more

I recently attended a baby shower at Missing Falls Brewery. Their event space is huge and nice and has its own bar and bathrooms! We had the shower, catered, and enjoyed pizza, wings, pasta, salad, fresh fruit, salad, and more. I am not sure what that made the pasta salad so different than usual pasta salad, but it was amazing. The beer is excellent. In fact, it's so good that we've apparently kept coming back despite the brewery treating our food orders like optional suggestions. We've visited three separate times, and somehow every single visit resulted in our order being forgotten or never entered. At this point, it feels less like a mistake and more like a brewery tradition. Order food, wait patiently, wonder where it is, then discover nobody actually put the order in. If you're looking for a place to test your patience while enjoying a great beer, this is your spot. The beer deserves 5 stars. Loved the vibes of this place! It felt kind of hidden and almost like it was at an old building and/or factory (yet still felt very modern). It also gave off the vibes of your local hometown bar. The beers were very good! I had the Kolsch and an IPA. Both were very tasty. My partner had wings and he enjoyed them. I had pretzels (a brewery must) and they were very good! Shout out to the cheese sauce. Service was friendly and speedy! They have a very small outdoor patio (maybe 6 tables that seat 4 each) but they were very enjoyable to sit at an play cards. read more

This was my best friend's and my go to after-work spot for drinks and apps. One of the best memories I have working in Akron! It's a small but cozy place to catch up and try amazing local beers, well crafted and custom to Akronites. The food is pretty good too, although I'm not a huge fan of the fries as they were a little soggy and not very well seasoned. Bartenders are amazing hosts! First the good. Missing falls is in one of the downtown old brick buildings. Very industrial vibe. Classic micro brew interior but very well done. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Had a burger and wings. The burger is a smash style burger and I really enjoyed it. Had some good sauces on it and I recommend it. Came with fries but man was it a small portion, not seasoned and they were cold. If you have read my reviews you know I hate improperly cooked fries and these weren't cooked well. Not greasy but limp, single cooked (IYKYK), unseasoned and just plain boring. We got wings and the sauce on them was good. Enjoyed the wings. Strangely the buffalo wings were half the size of the Carolina Gold. I posted a picture if you are interested but every wing was like in the picture. How the heck does this happen? Got blue cheese and celery with the wings. Well three small pieces of celery that were maybe half a piece of celery. Really?? The blue cheese sucked. No blue cheese flavor. It was some kind of cream based sauce with lumps that I guess were blue cheese. With all of that the food was better than many micro brews but it needs work. Based on my first experience I have no idea why this place is rated as high as it is. Stopped in on a Thursday evening around 5pm and it was PACKED. (It was the last Thursday before Christmas week so it appeared as though there may have been a lot of work events happening simultaneously.) It was so packed it was hard to move around. There is only bar service here, so moving around is necessary to go up, order your food and drinks, and get it back to the table. We spent most of the dinner with folks' bums hovering by our table since there wasn't enough seating. It was so loud that we could barely hear or talk. For some reason they kept the music up louder than the hundreds of people holding conversations. It was brain scrambling. The bartenders seemed overwhelmed. Can't really speak to their hospitality, skill, or service. It felt like how I remember Saturday night before last call at a college bar being. Food was nothing special. Just standard bar fair. I had the sliders (the Thursday special) and they were cold and dry. Fries were good. The beer was fine. Normally at a brewery I would try a few to get a sense of their offerings but we didn't want to stay long. There is also only one unisex bathroom--as you could imagine the line was long. I couldn't get the attention of staff to see if there was another option. I'll begrudgingly try it one more time (it's conveniently located for happy hour with friends) and see if the holiday parties just made for a bad experience. read more

First, I waited until the last minute to write the review and I don't waste my money so I ate and chugged my beer. I got Mozzarella sticks and they're not nasty but they're not your typically seasoned breaded Mozzarella stick. Sheetz are better. Take that how you will. I got the Akron Rugby Ale and it's definitely not it! The vibe is laid back and the service is good but if you're wanting a good drink and good food then this wouldn't be my first pick or suggestion. Talk about good fortune, thanks to the day I was here and the hours of my originally chosen breweries, I ended up at Missing Falls. It wasn't that I didn't want to come here, it was out of the way for me. I'll take fate and good fortune over planning most of the time. I'm here at 2:30 on a Tuesday. There are a few other patrons. The place is large enough to handle what is likely a large crowd of regulars, given the quality of the beers (and the location). I think this is an old Firestone building (maybe Goodrich or Uniroyal, but definitely one of the tire companies). The bar is huge, the atmosphere is very industrial and yet inviting. There are multiple TVs around the wide open space. The seating is plentiful with easy viewing angles for most all of the TVs. Food is available. I didn't try anything but the selection is solid bar grub. Service was friendly, fast, and efficient, but again, I'm here at an off time. And there's pinball in the side room. Bring your quarters. The beers are quite good. You know my take on reviewing beers... it's all about taste and we all have our own, but here goes my take on the four I chose: Canal Town Cold IPA The best of the 4 and a superb IPA. You're hit with those piney hops right off. It has a slightly bitter start, and a smooth finish. Nothing more needs to be said but this, if you do IPAs, get a taste. You'll end up with a pint. #Stachestrong American Pale Ale Can't quite put my finger on the flavor, but it's clearly from the hop they used. It's pleasant, a little fruity and a little sweet (very little). $1 of each pint goes to fight brain cancer. If you've ever known anyone with that condition, you know this matters. Langered Red Ale - Irish One of two red ales, this delivers as described on the beer list. Not to my liking so much, due to a touch more bitterness on the finish than I like. If you like a slightly bitter red, this could be worth a try Brutus Oatmeal Stout Second best in the flight. Again, exactly true to the description on the tap list. Brewed with peanut butter, that forms the dominant flavor profile. It's a very smooth and pleasant brew. A reasonable ABV puts this in the running for a couple of night cap pints, especially on a cooler Ohio evening. If I still lived in the area, you can bet I'd do some weekends here. Saw an early morning World Cup match (US vs Holland) - was super fun. They are a regional locus for Tottenham Hotspurs fans, and apparently open early for those matches. We found this place on the Ohio on Tap app and decided to check it out during the Browns game on Sunday in October. We were not disappointed! This brewery is part of a renovated warehouse. It has a very cool vibe. We sat at the bar and the service was both quick and welcoming. They have a pretty good menu- it's not just the typical bar food. I went with the buffalo chicken pizza. It was really good. My wife had some lemon pepper wings that were a little zippy for her, but I loved them. She ended up ordering a more mild flavor of wings and ate every one of them. As I said earlier, the brewery is part of a warehouse. It looks like they are still adding new businesses - this place could be a hot spot in the near future. Exit the brewery into the warehouse and there are quite a few video games, mainly pinball machines, that the kids, or adults who are young at heart, would really enjoy. There are also additional restrooms out here as well as a couple other shops. Missing Falls Brewery is great! We will be back again. read more

After a nice, crisp winter hike with my husband and friend who is from Akron, we headed to Missing Falls. This was our first time at Missing Falls and my husband had wanted to go hear because of the expansive beer selection. We were not disappointed! They have so many varieties - from Irish reds to pilsners to stouts to Scotch ales to IPAs to saisons. We ended up both being drawn to a Belgian style ale called In Bruges. I have a particular affection for Belgian style beer and this tasted like I was sitting at a Belgian brewery. It has a high alcohol content but didn't taste like it. We also ordered off the well-rounded bar menu. This is well executed bar food and we had a hard time deciding. We also learned that they don't deep fry anything you'd traditionally think was going to be - it's all done via air fryer. We got the mac and cheese bites to split which came with a spicy ranch dipping sauce. My husband then got the buffalo chicken sandwich, which he polished off in record time (so I assume he liked it), and I got the bee sting pizza which was cheesy and a perfect blend of sweet and spicy with the honey drizzle and jalepeno slices. Our friend also ordered the fried green beans - which sound like they should be weird but ended up being great. The interior of the space is a large warehouse, and there are tons of TVs set up around the place, so coming here for a Browns game seems like a great idea. read more
