I schedule places for a group of us women over 50 to meet for lunch on a monthly basis. A variety of restaurant options in different areas of CBus was provided to me. I picked Pies & Pints from that list this month. I'll share the good things first. I loved that they took a reservation for me as there were 11 of us coming. Granted, once I got there, I realized it probably wasn't necessary as they had a long row of tables against a wall that easily accommodated groups. Regardless, it's nice to tell the group that we have a spot waiting for us. We were seated right away and service was good. They were fine with us having separate checks. I think that's become easier with the POS technology now, but it's still nice to not get the side eye when you ask for separate checks. The menu is limited - which we all should have been aware of prior to arrival. I sent the link out to the restaurant menu with my monthly invitation so women know what they are signing up for. My case - I only go for the fellowship and just get a diet soda. I intermittent fast and don't eat until after 2 PM daily. Regardless, some of the women must not have paid attention to the menu - even when ordering. At least one was shocked when she got a pizza. It had spinach and other vegetable fixings so when she ordered she was clueless. The food looked excellent. Not traditional pizzas but many white flatbread style pizzas. Even so, most women picked at their food. Maybe a few got boxes to take home the food. No one complained. No one said a word about the food. If they are like me, they are there for the company - not so much the food. I gave three stars based on a bunch of old ladies non preferring pizza. Objectively, the food looked good but do not go here if you're not a pizza person or you're looking for a traditional red sauced pizza. read more

Pies and pints make probably the most gourmet pizza that I have had. Their menu has many unusual and delicious-looking combinations, but I always go back to getting the Gouda pizza because of how good it is. I tried their steak sub this time and it was also delicious. The food is VERY expensive, but the restaurant posted a video of the kitchen which seems justifiable. I still come here infrequently due to cheaper options being around. The staff was very friendly and helpful inside. It is a little chaotic inside, with people waiting to be seated at the host stand while others wait next to them for pickup orders at the bar. If you're able to spare some change for fancy pizza, I highly recommend this place. read more

I ordered pizzas for 5:30 pickup and pizzas were finally at 6:00 pm-1.5 hours after ordering. Always good eats at Pies and Pints! We headed in for a quick stop and waited only 10-15 minutes for a table at peak hours on a Friday. The restaurant was busy but not loud. Our waitress, Brandi, was super attentive and anticipated our needs and provided speedy service! Unfortunately when a gentleman greeted us at the door he wasn't exactly inviting; he didn't say hello or ask us anything he just expected us to spit a number out at him I guess. Brandi turned my mindset around and I appreciate her work ethic and attitude! The peppadew pie was salty, sweet and a touch spicy, the perfect combo for anyone! My sister enjoyed her Margherita pie and said it was cheesy and cooked perfectly! We'd also recommend their root beer that they have on draft! Ordered a pizza today, I had an allergy so I called ahead and confirmed I could order. I got an incorrectly made order that was not allergy friendly, so I had to speak to the manager who told me it was correct, even though it clearly was not, and she said that I ordered wrong when it is clearly marked. First time here: arrived for happy hour and pizza on a Wednesday. The table on the patio and inside were busy but only a few at the bar. The happy hour wine is very limited but I chose a red. The beer selection is extensive. I already had my eye on the Thai pizza that I saw on the online menu. I got a large to go. Yikes, it was $26! It was really great, had plenty of shrimp, and I would get it again. Minor complaint: the bar seating is not comfortable. I noticed they are the same at the dining area tables. Came here for dinner last week while passing through town. I want to say our waitresses name was Olivia? She was absolutely fantastic! Super friendly, and attentive. She also carried stickers with her and my niece was in heaven. We got the pizza potato skins, kids pineapple pizza, and the prosciutto pizza. All of it absolutely delicious. Absolutely horrible service and zero customer service at this location. The atmosphere gave off a really weird vibe. Took us forever to get seated because the host never appeared but there were three employees just hanging out at the bar, the gentleman who I assume was the manager finally finished playing in his phone and decided to turnaround and seat us. Delicious pizza! We arrived just after 8 on a Saturday night and there were plenty of people inside but we did not have to wait at all for a table. Ordered a 16" with half of two of their specialty pies. Note - if you want to get half and half you have to order a 16", as they do not allow splitting that way on the 10" pizzas. There were several tantalizing-sounding options but we opted for half grape and Gorgonzola and half mozzarella caprese. Both were flavorful and fresh...grapes should not work on a pizza but they totally do! Service was great as well. The only caveat is the price - $25 is a bit steep but hey, it's unique and tasty. We ordered delivery from Grubhub from Pies and Pints. We called the restaurant to order delivery and they helped me figure all of the logistics of how to order using the app. I'm not from the city so there's no delivery where I'm from. They were all super sweet!!! Now onto the good stuff, the pies!!! Amazing!! I had the cauliflower crust chicken Gouda and I cannot tell you how pleasantly pleased I was at the flavor of this pizza. I was really worried about the crust but it is honestly better than a regular crust. Get any of them and try them. I don't think you'll be disappointed. My husband had the regular crust classic pie and devoured the whole thing. We also had the Greek salad and we would definitely get it again. All things considered, I would eat here every week if I lived close enough!!! read more

I tried their specialty pies. In the picture, I have Mozzarella Caprese & Mushroom Garlic. I also absolutely LOVE their street corn pizza (not pictured). This is a more expensive pizza place ($24 for a large) but worth it because I am OBSESSED with the street corn pizza. I will always pay the price because I cannot find street corn pizza like this anywhere else!! The other specialty pizza's with meat are also more elevated than other places, so it's still worth a try! My partner really enjoys the Sriracha Shrimp. Today Tony and I were in the Columbus Ohio area trying to get some Christmas shopping done and decided on Pizza for lunch. Thank goodness for my cell phone and yelp app. Looked up pizza near our location, Pies & Pints popped up, photos plus reviews were enticing so using map quest followed my phones directions right to their door. We were greeted & seated immediately. They are tucked into a corner location in a small mall like sitting & if it wasn't for my GPS app, might not have located them. The server was nice but also the bartender so he couldn't give us personalized attention but he did his best, since like the building itself, they tucked us into a hidden corner. The restaurant was dark, not well lit, dark decor paint and furnishings...needs to be lightened up..I found it depressing not romantic, but I don't think they were going for the romantic feel either We ordered a 10 inch Italian and added tomato sauce, I had coca cola and Tony PBR. For some reason no pricing on the menu, I found that odd. When I got my check I saw why, my small pizza was $16...tome thar was very high for value of my pie. It was good, not great and definitely not A $16 value. Too much vinegarette on it, yes vinegar!!!! Will I go back if I am in the area, NO but mainly because too many other options to try out. I thought the pizza here was pretty good, with an interesting selection of specialty pies you don't often see. We got three large pizzas. (You know, so I could report here on how they reheat the next day...) The dough was good: Thin and flexible under the toppings; with a chewy crust that had a nice crisp to it. The pizzas we got were: The Peppadew Pie - My favorite of the 3 when fresh. Peppadew peppers are a little sweet, a little spicy, and a little tangy. They were great on the pizza, and paired well with the generous pieces of bacon. The Chicken Gouda - It was okay. The chicken was a bit dry, the consistency of the cheese was a little weird, and there was almost no bacon on it. Weirdly, this was my favorite when reheated in the oven the next day. I'm not sure why, but I guess the flavors developed somehow overnight. The Classic - A good pizza, with quality toppings. (I didn't get any of the leftovers from this one.) There was a great beer selection, too. If you're in the mood for this style of pizza, I'd definitely recommend Pies & Pints. read more

I've been here multiple times and never once had an issue with food or service. I've taken clients here for lunch and the salads are great. Even though this is a pizza place first, their wings are extraordinary! The best in town! The pizza is great and their beer selection has more than just IPAs which my husband loves. This was my and my family's first visit here in about three years and sadly, it will most likely be our last. This place has gotten INSANELY EXPENSIVE. WOW!! My family of three had one large pizza with three toppings, two salads, two root beers, one beer, and one kids pizza, and the check was $81.00 with tip. That is easily $25-$30 more than what it should have cost. I get that there is inflation right now, but it shouldn't cost $3.50 for mushrooms on a pizza, nor should a single salad cost $11.00. Last I knew, there wasn't a shortage of mushrooms or Romain lettuce. To say that Pies and Pints is gouging their customers is putting it mildly. read more

Pies and Pints is one of my favorite restaurants. I was here for lunch last week which is the first time I didn't have a pie or pint. My Italian Hero at lunch was excellent and the service, as usual, was excellent. Tonight we enjoyed a pie and pint on the patio - it was a beautiful evening. We ordered our favorite antipasto salad (a small is big enough for 2, especially if you're planning to order a pie also). For our pie, we ordered a large (gotta plan for some leftovers), with half chicken Gouda and half "classic". The edges of the crust were a bit overdone (pretty dark/black) but, overall, the pie was excellent and the black parts of the crust were limited to the very edge. The rest of the crust was baked perfectly. Again, service was excellent and our server was very knowledgeable regarding the brew menu and made an excellent recommendation for my wife. Place is always dead when I come. Customer service has always been great but there's never been any patrons. Excellent craft beer selection as they have 36 beers on draft. The beers are always fresh and ice cold since the lines to their kegs are super close. The wings were cooked absolutely perfectly to where the chicken slides right off the bone. The wings are char-grilled so they are a lot lighter. The creamy Gorgonzola sauce that came with it was fantastic. There's not many TV's so I wouldn't describe it good for sports. One of my favorite pizza places in Worthington. Food here is always great. For starters, I recommend the pork and pepper nachos and pizza skins. The toppings on the nachos are spread evenly so nearly each chip has a good amount of toppings on it. Since they spread the nachos in a layer rather than a pile, the nachos aren't quick to get soggy, but you'll probably eat them so quickly they won't have time to get soggy! The seasoned beans and pork really shine on these nachos, so don't miss out! My favorite pies are the white, chicken gouda, chipotle chicken, and now the peppadew. We ordered the peppadew and classic. Everything about the peppadew was perfect. The peppers were bright, sweet, and fruity, which paired so well with the salty savory bacon, tangy goat cheese, and fragrant herbs. I didn't try the classic myself but the person who ordered it loved it, especially the sauce! We enjoyed the atmosphere and food came out pretty quickly. Looking forward to going again! read more

YUM. This is my new go-to for pizza in Worthington. I love how casual and welcoming this place feels. The servers are always very nice and helpful. And they make some AMAZING pies. Try one of their specialities or their pie of the month. I love their plain sausage too. My one rec - do not get the margarita pizza unless you want just cheesy bread. There's no sauce or tomatoes on it unfortunately. And the beer..? Really good! There's a pint for everyone, even me who doesn't really love beer. I tried their pumpkin cider and it was tasty! I have always loved Pies & Pints!! I think the parking is easy and you can walk right in!! It is a hit or miss with business, though!! Sometimes I have to wait a while or I can walk right in and get a table. It is so cute inside and very different vibes for a pizza restaurant. I absolutely love all the beers on tap! But your girl has to stick with her favorite, Fat Head's Bumbleberry!! My boyfriend thought this was an awesome date night!! We ordered the pulled pork nachos! They were to die for, the tortilla chips were so crispy/warm/homemade! The toppings were bomb, I will definitely be back for them again! We ordered two 10 inch pizzas to share, so we could try out different flavors! We got the street corn pizza and the siracha shrimp flavors! Grapes on pizza! On our recent visit during the holidays, we felt like getting pizza and craft beers, so we checked out Pies & Pints, a local chain. We tried the grape and gorgonzola pizza, which had halved red grapes, cheese and fresh rosemary. It was delicious and a fun pizza combo I've never seen! Because I'm old school with pizza and can't get away from tomato sauce, we also got the Margherita pizza which had sooo much roasted garlic that made it pure heaven. Sadly, I had a cold and couldn't smell it but my partner said it was a garlic lovers' dream! Maybe this was also because they brush their crust with roasted garlic oil...yum! Really like how there were lots of vegetarian options such as their new "truffle shuffle" as well as spinach garlic, pesto, black bean, mozzarella caprese, mushroom garlic pies. They're also a bunch of meat, especially shrimp! The specialty pizzas come in two sizes, a personal size for around $12 and a larger for around $22/23 depending on which you select. You can pick two pizza flavors and do half and half on the LARGE pizza sizes, so we did a large pizza with the two flavors for a total of $22...great deal! We also ordered beer on tap. I love the electronic menu board which showed which ones were running low and which ones had just been tapped or kicked. The beers were great, but I really liked my Rogue non-alcoholic root brew from the tap! They closed at 10PM, but I like how they didn't kick us out when we were finishing up or rush us. Food was good. Drinks were expensive. Service was horrible. Atmosphere was okay. Didn't get a choice where to sit. Seat was missing pieces and rocking. I switched out. No one fixed or removed. It was given to another customer to deal with. Everyone around us was given their food before us although we ordered 15 minutes before. Was given check and wait staff never came back. Had to check out with bar. Waitress modified my tip amount versus what was signed for on receipt. This is second restaurant in last 30 days to modify my tips.
