I am a huge fan of beer, it's possibly one of my favorite things. (Don't tell my wife though... just kidding, she loves beer too!) And Porch Growler is a great place to get a pint or to get a growler filled. With the number of taps here they are able to have numerous options and styles. Pricing on beer here is reasonable as is the fill price on growlers. The staff at Porch Growler are quite friendly and will sample things for you if you see something that you might want but are unsure. They even have the beer priced to taster glass size if you're wanting to have more than a sample but aren't into committing to a full pour. I also really like that they have their draft menu on Untappd so that I can see what's new before I head into the shop. It is also super quick to scroll down the list in Untappd to see what beers are new to me. Porch Growler is right next to CVS, which means when prescriptions are picked up... so is some beer. It's also right next to Pet People which I love. I means that not only can I stop when I'm getting treats or kibbles but that I can bring the dog with me when the weather is nice because Porch Growler's patio is pet friendly! Dudley LOVES drinking with his humans! Bonus: We recently invested in a super fancy CO2 pressurized growler, basically it keeps your beer pressurized so that it remains in nearly the same state it is in inside the keg. There's an indoor and outdoor patio. Seating is limited due to Covid restrictions. On nice weather days, if you have a dog with you they're permitted on the patio. Good selection of IPA's and sours. Although If you like sours like me, OH sours are very different from a Midwest or east coast sour. Most OH sours use the same bacteria used for making kombucha. Dont know what to get? There's something for everyone. Most beers are out of Ohio but they have choices from everywhere. They have friendly & knowledgeable staff! They don't sell food there but they do have a partnership with the pizzeria across the street--Pizza Primo which is delicious! The Porch Growler was more than a pleasant surprise. Starting with a very important piece - Parking. There is a very ample parking lot in the rear with signs posted stating the PG along with two others on the block have reserved parking privileges. Good Stuff! The building/room is deep. Long, somewhat narrow but ample seating in front and a nice 10 - 12 seat bar. Porch Growler services hard cider, a long list of ales and beers along with bourbons aplenty. Small groups can reserve a back room to have fun on their own. Pinball wizards welcome as there is a pinball machine there. Service is walk-about, where you go to the bar to refill. No service on the floor (that I could notice). Prices are solid and there is/are happy hours. The Porch Growler is recommended by this YELP* player. The Porch Growler is a great spot! So many beers on tap, friendly bartenders, and a great place to hang. They have some board games, a nice small little patio spot, tv's around, bottled beers to buy, and you can obviously get growler fills from the bar as well. If you can't find a beer you like here, you must not like beer. Their menu is organized with ease of browsing based on what type of beer you are looking for or wanting to try. Lots of local brews as well as some not so local brews. I have never had a problem finding a beer here, more like trying to narrow down which ones I want to try on that specific trip. I have been here a couple times more recently and suggested it more often as I have met up with friends for a beer or an after work drink or just to go hang there with the wife. Just an overall cool spot with all you could ask for. They even have like a side mini room with some pinball as well. A bit disappointed. Had a bourbon tasting tonight there. The place is a beer joint and they offer many options minus seating for the crowd the tasting would draw. Had to stand for 90 minutes with no chance to sit. To make it worse a table was too warm after sitting and drinking for longer than us do they started to prop open the exterior door. Staff offered a door stop which dropped the temperature inside well below the normal human being comforts zone. I will avoid in the future just because there are too many other comfortable options around to endure this. Aside from that they did offer many beers to choose from. read more

Great environment with a patio right on High Street & lots of TVs so its a great spot to watch sports. Purchase a new growler to fill up or trade in an old one for an official Porch Growler one. Definitely don't agree with Sophia M's assessment of their service, and board game instructions are easy enough to look up online if you are that interested in playing. My wife and I have come here several times, and we have enjoyed their wide variety of beers on tap, as well as the outdoor seating area. While the interior is a little sterile and lacks a bit of the charm that some other breweries/pubs may have, that's not enough to deter us from continuing to come back. read more
