Pig Ate My Pizza was an okay experience overall. The pizza was decent, but it was a bit too greasy. There are definitely other pizza places I would choose first when I'm in the mood for pizza, so I probably wouldn't rush back.

Stopped by for dinner on a Saturday PM to drop off donations they were accepting (Main reason we went - THANK YOU!). We shared the Pork nugs and the pep + sausage pizza and really enjoyed them both! We sat at the bar and service was quick and attentive. The flavoring of the crust was awesome! The layout is super cool - the open kitchen is such a fun vibe. Will definitely be back.

Stopped in on a Sunday for lunch, wasn't too busy. We waited to be seated by the host and were given menus but I seen the table QR codes all over the place so ended up ordering via QR. We got a cheese pizza and added toppings, we also got the chicken sandwich and 2 sodas. Our food came out before the drinks but we were given water right away when seated. The pizza was really good. Looked like they had some pretty unique combinations but due to not eating pork (or beef), kind of limits me. The Chicken sandwich wasn't great. I think it was thigh meat? It was pretty tough, and generally wasn't a fan of the overall flavor, the breading was light and crispy but it didn't stick to the chicken at all, making it pretty messy to eat. Pickles were good. The staff were attentive and nice.

I'd read so much about Pig Ate My Pizza that we finally decided to give them a try during one of our family pizza Fridays. Since it was our first visit, I didn't realize the pizzeria was also a brewery. Full transparency: as first-timers, I would've appreciated a bit more guidance from our server on the pizzeria-and-brewery history, maybe even making a few recommendations. There's a wide range of beers available, which is exciting, but it also felt a little overwhelming--not because having options is a bad thing (I genuinely loved the variety), but because I wasn't entirely sure what direction to go in. Ultimately, I went with a flight and chose a few beers that read well to me. The pizzas themselves were good. We tried the Fat Mike's and the Piggy Pie. Fat Mike's was our family's favorite of the two specialty pizzas we ordered. Not too rich or heavy, it struck a really nice balance. The Piggy Pie leaned much more heartier. IMO, there was more "dressing" on the pizza than necessary (I believe it's the bacon emulsion or garlic aioli?), which made it a little challenging to hold and eat as-is, as it easily fell apart. The cheese pizzas our little ones ordered were a hit--they absolutely loved them. I appreciated that the dough on all the pizzas was neither too thin nor too thick. I enjoyed the flavor and softness of the Brioche dough used for the Piggy Pie. All of the pizzas were baked evenly, with crusts that were flavorful and satisfying. The ambiance was relaxed and laid-back. I'd be interested in coming back to explore more of the pizza lineup or try other menu offerings.

The food here is delicious with so many creative flavors! We came here on a beautifully sunny day, which lit up the whole restaurant. There was a lot of space, but strangely we were sat at a table with another couple. Not an issue, but I am sure they just wanted to enjoy their lunch without 2 kids in their business making a mess! There are multiple tvs on as well if you want to watch a game. There is a kids menu which was perfect portions for them to eat. We ate BBQ dry rub ribs as an appetizer. They were fantastic, sweet & savory flavor, perfectly meaty, fall off the bone! "A must try these recommendation!" For our pizza we got the Boomtown- which is loaded with 3 styles of mushrooms, sausage, spinach and garlic. It was soooo good! I think the mushroom puree was uniquely the best part. Pair your food with some of their in-house brews from Nouvelle. They brew their own been and give suggestions on what to drink with each menu item. I started with a flight to see what I would like. Be aware, you will be charged a lot of local, state, liquor, etc. fees. The bill will quickly shoot up with all of those fees being passed down to the customer.

PAMP was on restaurant week and I couldn't resist. And wow! First off I could eat these pork nugs and their soy sauce every day. The only thing that would make them better is serving them with rice! My gf got the Caesar salad and just look at it. It is amazing. High quality and good sized. I had the pasta with vodka sauce, tons of flavorful fennel sausage, and ricotta. My gf and mom both had pizzas and they did not disappoint. Of course you know their pizza is going to be amazing. A pepperoni and a Diana Ross (I forget what it is actually called but close to that). Cook was perfect and their crust is amazing. As is their sauce and everything else. Not pictured, the ice cream we had. All for $30! The value here is incredible. And it isn't like restaurant week was a huge savings. They just serve up great food every night at a really fair price. And I paired it with a great porter. Black waves I believe it was called. Ambiance is great. A family friendly setting where you can also go on a date. It has a community kind of feel.

Loved the pork bites that my companion ordered. My margarita pizza was ok. A bit floppy but decent. I did try the truffle fries but thy looked fantastic.

Fantastic food and drinks. The Pigs in a Beach Blanket was an exceptional, balanced cocktail that reminded me of the tropical drinks at Psycho Suzi's (RIP). Pork nugs were fun, kind of like a crispy/mongolian beef at a Chinese place. Pizzas were fantastic texture and flavor, no complaints at all. A little bit like Neapolitan style but a smidge thicker buttery brioche crust. Good service and atmosphere. Will certainly be returning.

First time sitting down and eating at Pig ate my pizza. Went during happy hour between 2-5pm. Sat on the patio, wasn't very busy so was seated quickly. Nice patio area, ordered some food and just water. Staff quick and friendly, kept my glass filled. I didnt have any pizza, so I'll have to go back for that but I did enjoy my food. Travail never disappoints with any of their places across the board.

It looks like they change their menu frequently, which is good, but sadly the current menu didn't have too many items that interested me. It looks like in the past they offered mussels and frites and other more exotic dishes. I really wish they had more than burgers and pizza. I went with the smash burger which did have some interesting flavor that I haven't had before, but sometimes it's nice to have something fresher, something less heavy.

What We Ordered: Hazy beer and their painkiller fruited beer (very yummy if you like more fruity than sour beers)- definitely a must try! 11 inch pizzas - fat mikes and Manhattan pizza. Prefer red sauce based pizzas like the fat mikes, pretty flavorful, but too much cheese for my liking. Highlights: * Service: friendly, quick service * Ambiance: trendy, large bar, indoor and outdoor seating * Cleanliness: clean inside * Price: reasonably priced * Easy parking Room for Improvement: The pizzas are loaded with cheese compared to other pizzas that I prefer more. Would I Return? Yes, but will likely go for their happy hour deals or grab a drink at the bar! Lots of good deals on their website throughout the week. Would like to their their cocktails as well.

I really didn't wanna try this place but my friends wanted to meet there so I thought I would give it a shot and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and the food was very good and it was very cute inside. I did have a hard time finding it though, and I had to drive her on the block a few times and I did find a parking spot in the back. They have a small parking lot. It's located next to the Ace Hardware store.

They were open until 11 and had a great beer selection with an inside/outside option. My wife wanted to watch some of the Stanley Cup so we opted for inside. Based on his interactions we decided to get chicken tenders (Nashville) and fries and a few more beers. Overall this is a great, inviting environment. I can't recommend visiting here enough. Seriously, I've probably had everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. They have an extensive collection of beers that will please anybody, with some of the best Hazys and best Sours in town, and also cocktails that work for folks that don't want a beer. The patio is superb, and although you sometimes share it with a passing train, it's tucked away and is a nice separation from the business of the surrounding north loop. I'd argue the wings are easily top 3 in the whole state, they're always crispy, and the monthly specials are clearly thought over and iterated on by talented chefs that want to try new and unique things. The pizza is also probably the best Detroit style in the city, try the Elote and you'll see what I mean. Staff is a hoot, they're all super nice, great to talk to, and have honest opinions about their own menu. Seriously, if you're anywhere near the downtown area, go here.

The bartender told me that the go to was their Czech Pilsner and so that's what I had. It is light and smooth, very easy drinking. I'm impressed that they have a wide selection of stouts and IPAs and wheat beers to cater to anyone's taste. The food menu is limited. The food ordering process is really fast casual. You order at the bar and then they deliver your food to the table in cardboard basket dinner where is plastic and you bring your condiments to the table you choose. I wanted to try their wedge salad as well as their slider flight. The wedge was unique because rather than using iceberg, they use Romain, which actually was a nice change of pace for a wedge. It was good. The onions and tomatoes were diced, the dressing was thinner than most wedge dressings, but it was flavorful. The two pieces of bacon on top were whole and quite frankly might've been better if they would've been chunked the smaller pieces as well, but that's not a major issue. The slider flight comes to three sliders. One is a smash burger , one pulled pork, and one is chili chicken. The rolls are fresh and akin to a Hawaiian roll. The Smashburger was a good basic burger, the pulled pork was decent. And the chicken chili, was a shredded chicken that was spicy, but not too spicy. They were easy to eat and enjoyable. All in all the food was good, but not extraordinary. They were satisfying. You're not going to see a Michelin star given to StormKing anytime soon, but that's not the point. If you were looking for a quick easy to eat meal and a really solid selection of micro brews that you won't find anywhere else, the Storm King is worth a try.
