And then finally, I went to pick up a prescription and it was WRONG, she called in pills for my 7 month old who cannot swallow a pill yet??? The pharmacy was so confused and said she should have been given a liquid. They contacted her back and never heard anything so they had to cancel our prescription. Do not go here! There's plenty of other urgent care businesses to give your $$ to with someone who is aware of what's going on.

Best Nest has a great nurse line that will call you back during the work day if you have questions, and there is also an after-hours nurse line that I've utilized a few times. The entire staff has been incredibly kind and helpful throughout the last 4 years. Overall, I can't say enough amazing things about this practice, and specifically Dr. Schroeder!

When I left, I spoke to the front office, explaining things at a high level, and asked that patterns not repeat... WELL, they are. Long story short, I left an abusive relationship a week after giving birth. At the same time, I developed sever postpartum depression. Because of this, I have been severely judged and mistreated for getting sick beyond my control in the court system, which has extended down to this practice. Beyond the initial switch, I never brought up details of my divorce or abusive ex husband. He is truly a narcissist and makes it his mission to shine me in the most terrible light. He literally visits each caregiver's office, showing them the divorce papers and spins his version of the story, which is not true. After the initial switch to this practice, we started out well, but all of a sudden, this practice made me sign a form saying I would not involve them. I never shared any detail with them, yet had to sign this form. What did my ex tell them? Since then, I have said nothing, yet it seems they allow my ex to share every detail and complicate every situation, and they allow him to! Recently, I have had complications signing in to the patient portal and getting the true care my child deserves. Three weeks ago, they sent over two prescriptions, not considering implications of insurance. As a result, one prescription was discounted and filled on time. The other was severely delayed and the pharmacy attempted to charge full price. My ex refused to share the prescription with me. When I brought this to the clinic's attention, they said "hey! We don't do this he said she said stuff." That was not my intent, I simply gave them the facts in an attempt to get an alternate prescription filled to treat my child. I took my child there again after developing a severe diaper rash after a long weekend not in my care. As a result, a prescription was sent to pharmacy. I asked for two half prescriptions to share between households. Suddenly, a comment of insurance being finicky with two prescriptions was made. What changed between this visit and the one three weeks ago? Rather than keeping the best interest of a child in this situation, they choose the path of least resistance. This approach then leaves the burden on me to address and correct. Ultimately, BestNest is looking out for their best interest, not the child, and not the parent trying to do the right thing. My child's care is being neglected, my mistreatment continues and is further propagated by this practice, and I can't seem to do anything about it. As the guarantor, I REALLY want to move to a more trusting pediatrician, but I feel like with my ex's behavior, patterns will repeat. Hopefully by sticking it out, their eyes will be opened.

We talked about allergies and I learned something new today - the correct way to use Flonase! A prescription was sent to the pharmacy via her iPad and off we went. On the way out, there is a sticker station where the kiddos can choose a sticker, so that was the big decision of the hour. Insurance was billed so I didn't need to make a payment at the visit. I thought the practice was efficient, caring and professional.

Well when we run out, there is a constant battle with them to get it refilled because they want to "see him" and evaluate him because he's wheezing.. he is wheezing because he is out of his control inhaler. If we can keep the prescription that keeps his asthma under control he won't wheeze.... Is it a money grab? Believe me I run across town ALL the time to take him to the doctors when he needs it. From our very first meeting, we felt completely at ease--she was warm, approachable, and knowledgeable. We were living in West Plano at the time and chose her without hesitation. Since then, both of our children have been under her care since birth. Even after moving to the McKinney/Allen area, we continue to make the drive to Willow Bend Pediatrics just to see Dr. Le--that's how much we value her care. They're always able to get us in when one of our kiddos isn't feeling well, and my kids actually love going to the doctor because of her. That says a lot! Dr. Le has an incredible bedside manner--she's warm, friendly, and always takes the time to listen and explain things thoroughly. We've never once felt rushed during an appointment.
