This place is absolutely awful. I came here to get a few groceries. Very simple. The only good employee their was Shawn. I saw him help an elderly woman pump gas for her, and do his job. He even helped out other employees even though he shouldn't have. On the other hand, i saw a employee in the produce section, i think his name was John, but all the plants were dead. The bananas were rotten and way over ripe, I also saw John drop a few fruits, and put them back like 20 seconds later. Overall 5 stars for shawn, but the rest is 1 star. read more

This place is so expensive!!! I can't imagine how any one other than a millionaire shops here. Almost $20 for a package of chicken!!

Full experience was awful. First went to meat department, Colleen was stocking whole chickens when we were there too, wouldn't acknowledge nor ask if we needed help. Said nothing and continued working. People with hand jacks going back and forth across back of store no excuse me or nothing 2 girls stocking rounded the corner stopped and I said we are going your way and 1 of them, Jolene said, I guess you want us to meet move. Then checking out Justin M. Cashiering called Jolene up to bag our things. She just tossed stuff in bags and literally dumped our bags in the cart. I asked her if she could please be more careful. She turns and uses the "F" word at me and walks towards self check out. My boyfriend immediately went to lady at self check out as Jolene was just staring at us and complained about her use of language. This lady we spoke to smiled the whole time and the cashier was laughing. Horrible respect for customers, no action taken and for your prices, you would think you'd want a good experience. I've taken note lately, I rarely get a thank you from any employee to Piggly Wiggly. I'm not sure if employees actually understand if Piggly Wiggly doesn't have customers,there are no jobs?! I must admit that I've had some horrible experiences here in the past, but yesterday took the cake. From employees trudging around with motorized pallet jacks without concern for customer safety, inattentive workers (see also previous thought), and the least friendly staff I've ever encountered... Y'all win the "prize". Colleen from the Meat Department was literally half a foot from me as I tried to get a chicken, and couldn't wait until I moved to restock, or even say "pardon me, but...". Jolene, with whom my better half and myself had multiple encounters with, was the least exemplary employee, hands down. We were walking down the bakery aisle, and my girlfriend went to turn the corner, and I guess your employee was also trying to get past with a large, flat bed style carrier. We paused, she paused, and then your employee looked at my girlfriend, laughed with her fellow snobby coworker and said "I guess you want to get around me?!?". The best Jolene encounter was when she returned to carelessly throw our $100 plus dollars of our groceries into the shopping cart, and was asked by is not to "throw them in", she proceeded to roll her eyes, and drop the F-Bomb, which shows real class and speaks volumes about how you do business. After this, we complained to the front of house, and Jolene had to stand there the whole time, rolling her eyes and listening, to which we were told by some halfway attentive store employee that "______ would handle it". Noticing that your surly bagger was still immobile and staring, I asked Jolene "What she was looking at... I've got over 30 YEARS in the grocery business", to which the young lady replied "So?!?", and we we're invited to LEAVE by the person we complained to, who was now ALSO finding humor on the situation, along with the cashier who rang us up. This location has been going downhill for years now, but this was the last and final straw. I dont think that I've ever paid more for less. Yeah, you're the only grocery store "in town", but I drive past half a dozen on my way home from work, and Thompson's is just down 22 in Oconto. You don't need our business, and I certainly DON'T need to be made to feel unwelcome in my home town. I've shopped The Pig for years, but we will not be back... ever. I'm not one to normally complain but y'all were intentionally rude, classless, and downright inhospitable to any rational person. read more

YOUR LOCAL PIG WIG! I love this place. Full of crazy people. Plenty of nice employees. Great customer service! Especially this one cashier named Liz I think, she used to work there everyday, but I cannot seem to find her there anymore. I really wonder what happened with her... did she move or something? Sure seems like she did... Well, I miss her. But a certain Kimbo and Lorrie and Shannon and Janet and Terri and Leia are very kind too!! Check this grocery store out next time you past time historic, lovely, smalltown Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. You will NOT leave disappointed. The bakery is fresh, dece. Im not sure what is going on with toilet paper but were im from we have none. I did not know we needed to stock up i have 8 people in my house. I pass piggly wiggly in oconto falls from time to time but never stopped there well today i did in search or toilet paper. I was never in my live so offended, insulted, embarrassed while trying to shop the had quite a bit of toilet paper and with 8 people in my house i choose the cheapest brand and grabbed 6 12 packs went up to check out the decided while im here i should just do my shopping so i left the check out and proceeded around the store when i got to the back part the store manager came out looked at my cart and said I just decided im limiting toilet paper to 4 I said oh is that posted some were did i miss it he said no its not I just decided it now and your not buying 6 well i gave him a few choice words and my cart went over to family dollar right by them and what a great place i got my 6 12 rolls and my shopping done. read more

Poor produce quality and variety, and poorest grade of meat I have ever used. If I must buy hamburger there, it must be used almost immediately before it goes bad. I shop for other items here and have shopped here for over 20 years. The meat quality has always been poor, it isn't like I haven't given the place a second chance. Just a low grade of meat.
