Super cute place and friendly staff, but gave my son a horrible haircut. I showed the stylist a picture for inspo, and stated I wanted a small cleanup, like a trim. NOT a cut. Maybe an inch off the back and just out of his eyes, but not above his eyebrows or ears. I told her to be careful cutting his hair wet as it has some body and would shrink up when it was dry. We got out of there with the worst butcher job ever. Nothing like the picture, and just a terrible haircut altogether. It's so uneven and choppy. My son did not move. He was not wiggly. Wouldn't take your boys here if you want anything other than a really short style. My husband and I are devastated. I have contacted the salon and am waiting on a call back from the manager. Pictures of before and after, with the inspo pic attached for reference. Update: the manager called me and after seeing pictures offered to give me a refund and "texturize" the hair so it isn't so blunt. Also made a comment about "those blondes" as if his hair color has anything to do with how terrible this haircut was. 1000% do not take your kiddos here for anything permanent. They have really cute chairs for the kids to sit in and lots of fun toys to play with. It was easy to schedule an appointment online. The stylist did a good job on my toddler son's hair especially as he was NOT interested in a haircut. She kept him entertained snd distracted while she worked. Atmosphere seems very casual as opposed to professional which could be good or bad depending on what you prefer. Prices are high though. $30 once you add a tip for a kids haircut without anything special. read more

This place is pretty awesome. Although I do not remember the names of the employees, I scheduled a hair cut for my 2yr old and nail-polish session for my 5yr old. Inside, you'll find cute cars and trains for toddlers to sit in during their hair cuts/trims. My son was a huge fan of the train only after his session was done. The waiting area has a combination of seats, small-toy store items(automobiles, stuffed animals, trinkets, etc.) a hands-on train table and a treasure chest for kids to grab a prize after their session is done! Appointments were scheduled via website; the options are clear with direct price points and a box for notes you want to include. My son is considered non-verbal, so I chose the haircut package which included extra time (this package is specifically catered to children with special-needs). He may not be in this category, but I felt a potential 30min rather than a 10min haircut would prove successful (this was my son's first trim). The woman who cut my son's hair was extremely patient. She let me place him on my lap and moved around as needed. My son thrashed and screamed, but we both made it work . While my son had his haircut, my daughter had her nails painted. She was able to pick her own colors and had a little seat next to a tv. She needed to wait for about 7min for her polish to dry (she also needed her thumb repainted for touching it ). They gave her a cute little ribbon and some glitter for her hair . Why a 4/5 Stars: _The floor did not look as swept. There were still chunks of hair that littered the reception desk and waiting area. My kids were the first appointments of the day, so seeing this much hair upon opening was a little uncomfortable. _ My son's hair-stylist smelled strongly of cigarettes. I get headaches pretty easily, so I was rather overwhelmed exerting my strength to hold down my son while inhaling cigarettes' scent. _I wish I had a hair-covering cape for my body while holding my son. I anticipated holding my son and though to ask for a cape, but when it wasn't presented, I assumed they didn't have one. This may have been my fault as well. I think used about 20 lint roller pieces and I still had a ton of my son's hair. read more

I usually don't like to write reviews unless they are positive but I chose this place based on the reviews and felt quite disappointed after we left. First it is VERY expensive for kids haircuts. I usually never pay more than $15-17 + tip for a cut for them at a salon. So for $21 I was expecting the same service or better. My 5 year old was super excited and kept wanting to look around. The stylist seemed a little impatient with him. Instead of trying to distract him or redirect him she just kept asking him to hold still.... not really what works for most 5 year olds, especially ones who are super excited. I tried helping her redirect him but my 3 year old was also getting a cut at the same time so I was trying to go back and forth between the 2 of them. She was nice, but I felt she could have done a better job trying to work with him. I'm also not super impressed with their cuts either. They seem a little choppy and uneven, especially my 5 year olds neckline. I get that he was moving but most stylists have been patient with him and able to get a strait line. Maybe by giving him something to hold or play with in his lap or putting on a tv show to keep his interest. I also noticed my 3 year old had a little nick behind his ear. Nothing major but I noticed a little blood behind his ear when I got him in the car. Overall the experience felt rushed and impersonal. I totally understand kids cuts can be hard especially when they can be wiggly but I feel like if that is what you specialize in you should be really good at redirection and more patient with your little clients. I noticed her behavior IMMEDIATLY upon my first interactions with her, she was standing and talking very strangely- to the point I even asked if she was feeling alright! She was slurring her words, spaced out, completely missing my sons head with the clippers, practically falling over, almost cationic while attempting to work on him. I was on edge noting what a truly awful cut she was doing but put a complete stop when my son cried out after she scratched his skin because she was so unfocused. Besides that GIANT HOLE she left in my picture taking the bottom most layer to the top of his hair line, and uneven patches is something you think doesn't warrant an outburst? "Slightly uneven" is a gross understatement for how she cut my sons hair- and this was CONFIRMED when I had to take him to different salon to attempt to even his hair out- she was forced to cut shave his hair down almost completely. And your response that I wasn't going to have to pay for this??? My child's well being and safety had been grossly mismanaged and your thoughts were about money- showed me that you were a poor choice to have taken my son to - I wanted nothing at all to do with you, your "stylist" or your business. This is the first time I'm ever leaving a review. My daughters went in with my husband yesterday to get a hair cut. Long story short - they braided it before he got a chance to look at it and it's a complete hack job. My oldest hair is the worst, youngest at least can be hid with a pony tail but still needs to be fixed and is not what we asked for. I didn't look at the reviews on yelp ahead but see that this is a complete theme of this place including rudeness by the manager. So my bad on that. I spoke to the manager and requested a refund for just one of their cuts which seemed reasonable giving the fact that I have to pay now to go somewhere decent and get it fixed. She only offered to fix it or give me a free haircut but I can't understand why I would ever want to bring the girls back when they clearly cannot cut hair. I was absolutely livid in the phone. I notified the corporate office and am waiting to hear back from this locations owner since the manager was completely useless. Maria was out so we had someone else and was not crazy about her but it got the job done. We scheduled our day around this and hyped up my toddler for it. Customer service for the lady that was working today was a 0 out of 10. She was rude from the moment we walked in. Very snarky said"do you have and an appointment". We said sorry we do not. All she said was "well we only take appointments, and we are fully booked today". My husband and I were like ok can we make an appointment she again very rudely said "yeah um for Tuesday". Last time we were in we asked if they made appointments and they told me no we do not. So we didn't know. Something has changed here. Last cut was so-so and the most recent cut was very uneven. Even my teenage kids commented without asking about how bad the cut looked. Not sure why they are by appointment only. There were three employees there when we went and we were the only ones there. This place used to feel fun and welcoming. I took my son here for his first professional haircut. They took me as a walk-in which was great. They let him choose his chair. They have cute chairs for kids. A fire truck. A cop car. A train. All very cute. He is 2 years old and started having a fit so they suggested putting him in my lap in one of the regular salon chairs. They do adult hair as well so if you wanna get your hair cut while you kid gets theirs cut you can. My son got a lollipop which amused him for a minute but then got fussy again so the women from the front desk came over and showed him different toys to help get him through it. They did a fantastic job in all areas. $20 which is what I've paid for my daughter other places. I would definitely recommend. read more

Of the 5 different haircuts we got for my son, 1 was acceptable and 1 was excellent. I'm writing this review after the last haircut we'll get from this business. It is hands down the worst haircut he's ever had. We wanted a simple trim/shape to the style he already had and he ended up with a Lloyd Christmas cut and choppy/uneven blends to the buzz. It should be noted that he is incredibly still and isn't a kid who dislikes haircuts; he's cooperative and easy in the chair. This was my first time trying this place out. I brought my 2 daughters here thinking they were decent based on reading the reviews. DO NOT COME HERE if you want your daughters hair to look like a buzz cut in the front of her hair!!!! Here is my warning on this place. My younger daughters 1st haircut went okay. I mean you really couldn't mess it up so much. All I had the lady (she was light skinned, dark hair to her shoulders with the bottom half of her hair dyed dark purple/blue) did was trim a half inch on the bottom and that was completely it for her. My oldest who is 8 I feel completely horrible for my daughter with her haircut. So as my daughter was getting her cut done the stylist drops her scissors out of her hands on my daughters lap. My daughter looked at me with eyes wide open a little in shock. I really didn't make a big deal out of it since my daughter was okay and accidents happen sometimes. Things like that you need to be really careful cutting kids especially. So after her cut was done she then braided her hair to the side and the stylist sprinkled this pink fairy dust on top of my daughters hair. So really I couldn't see anything wrong at that point because it was braided and sparkles were covering it. My daughter wanted to leave her hair styled like that for the following day to school. When she came home from school the next day she took a shower. As I was combing her hair that's when I noticed 2 HUGE mistakes on my daughters haircut. This lady cut a chunk so freaking low to her scalp it look like a buzz cut, this is in the area where the bangs would be. So basically she completely cut off my daughters bangs down to the scalp...... yup you read that right! I DIDN'T EVEN ASK FOR BANGS EITHER!!! It is so difficult to try to hide it. And it's so sad that I can't style my daughters hair these beautiful ways I come across :( I tried calling over and over and nobody picks up. So I drove over and the same girl was there. I told her what happen and she agrees that it looks like a buzz cut. She of course denied that she was responsible for that. She had the decency to ask my 8 year old daughter if she has a brother who has clippers, implying that my daughter did this to herself or her brother. My daughter told her she did not cut her hair or anyone from school. I also never had a issue with my daughter cutting her hair in her whole life. She had long beautiful hair to her lower back and was proud of it. She does not have a older brother either with clippers. She also cut another section really short right down the middle of my daughters hair so she can't even naturally part her hair down the middle because a large chunk of her hair sticks straight up. After trying to assure this lady and my daughter as well that she nor anyone else cut her hair but the lady herself she still tried to reflect it off her. I then brought up that maybe she messed up and cut it when the scissors slipped from her hands WHILE CUTTING MY DAUGHTERS HAIR. This lady had the decency again try to deny knowing anything about the scissors falling on my daughter. I had to slowly repeat everything that played out even the corny joke she tried to play off after picking the scissors up from my daughters lap. Suddenly she regained memory after that and STILL DENIED messing up my daughters hair!!!! $78 for 2 haircuts. I'm so disgusted that this lady couldn't even take responsibility nor apologize to my daughter. You know she is very girly and loves to dress up and accessorize. Now she feels so insecure and hates her haircut. She's going to be scared going back to get another haircut. She can't leave her hair down without worrying the buzz cut in the middle front of her hair showing and the super low cut in the middle of her hair sticking straight up. I will forever give this place a bad name. I will tell people to never come here and to spread the word about it. HORRIBLE ESTABLISHMENT AND STYLIST!!!!!!!! Your crappy advice of just having to "wait it out" and "just part it with a combover and gel" should have just been kept to yourself because after dealing with your dishonestly I feel like I was being taunted with your unwanted advice at that point. I was beyond excited to see this place newly open in Ahwatukee. So close and convenient for me. My 2 year old and seven months old babies both just got their hair cuts done by Jenna. Couldn't be happier with the service and haircuts. It was tough getting through it because my boy doesn't enjoy getting his hair cut, but Jenna was so sweet throughout the whole process. (Not sure most 2 year old boys enjoy it). The setup and decor are adorable. The cars for the kids to sit it are so great.
