For months, I had attempted to book appointments, but found no one willing to look at about 50 different pictures of everything I liked or disliked a various haircuts and colors of mine over the years, where my request was please make the color as close as possible to this one because it's one I know I can sort of replicate at home if budget demands. Rather than trying to sell me highlights or things I didn't need Fatima earned my confidence, because she offered to go into the salon, right when I was calling, I mentioned I was across the street, and my impulse to just suddenly act turned out to be the best Hair decision I've ever made because I met the most kind and thoughtful Individual where her services include making sure that she understands what you want when you yourself perhaps, if like me, have a very hard time describing it given no one's actually accomplished doing it the way you wanted, let alone is perfectly as she has. While she did my hair and a color that would be easy to do my own roots, I'm not having anyone touch my hair with her., if I am lucky enough, she have time. I hope anyone reading this specifically asks for her, and while her colleagues were very pleasant and nice, and I noted that all clients within the salon were happy and smiling, and the employees all seem to get along, this is not to say anything, not positive about them, I just didn't experience them as much, but relative, too many decades of seeking to just not feel worse, leaving than I did before going in, this is the first time I have ever felt the price was justified, earned, and it's what made me give Fatima on my word - - proactively - - that I would write her a review. If anyone else is sick of being asked to write a review by people, especially ones where if you actually said what you thought they might figure out to not continue to ask you for one, she simply made it clear that she wasn't concerned about that and I had to basically convince her to hey do you at least not object to me writing nice things and then she said it was OK I wish more customer service interactions were like that and the only other review that I can sincerely say I am blessed to have interacted with such a person is with the dog trainer. I would answer any question about Fatima in the salon in the most positive terms you can imagine, and perhaps you can tell I'm a rather picky person. It's not because I'm so important and I deserve to be treated so exceptionally, it's because she made me feel like I was even though I'm just like everybody else. Unbelievable and I wish she could work at a multitude of places I've been required to interact with where my experiences were so the opposite. If not, including my own dogs, in my opinion about them, obviously being biased, she has the cutest dog I've ever seen and it's name is Rocky. If you would enjoy the dog being present, as he makes no sound and just sits there and looks adorable, tell her and she might even be able to bring them into the appointment that she might just set for you on five minutes notice an absolutely make you able to celebrate a major birthday or milestone when you had really started to think it wasn't gonna be possible.... she described options and pricing for each and then provided her recommendations of all of them as she described to me what she thought that I meant as I was describing it. Her feedback let me know that she understood what I wanted and especially what I didn't want, and managed to do it better than I realized it could've been or even could've hoped for. read more

I had my first appointment with Lori and it was wonderful! First time back in a salon since the shutdown 2 years ago, and Lori really got me back to where I wanted to be. I have a cut that suits my curly hair, she walked me through a couple different options of how to achieve the look on my own at home, and it's going to be something that's easy to maintain. We chatted our whole appointment, both about what she was doing to achieve our agreed upon style, mixed in with lots of personal stories. Went to V1 Salon and and had the services of Kevin at a medical turning point in my life. Losing my hair to chemo. He was kind understanding, and professional. He cut and colored my hair in stages before my hair loss. There was also a community of wonderful beauticians that saw my journey while in Kevin's chair and cheered me on. They offered their prayers on my behalf during my journey and I felt strength from them. I would prefer to write a positive review of a business and individual who provides a service there, however, I am unable to do so in this case having been bothered multiple times and harrassed multiple days and lied to by multiple individuals from the same establishment! This review is primarily for Julie Bartell. DON'T EVER USE HER!!! She is the 'service provider' in this instance, contracts for her chair and does so under this particular salon. I thought V1 Salon was a nice place to have your hair done, maybe by some of the 'other stylists', however, I would highly recommend DO NOT have Julie Bartell ever do your hair, she is not particularly up to date on the latest styles and slow and needs to be told on a very regular basis what you want done causing the client to be frustrated which is unfortunate and does not make for a nice experience. She is providing a service that is well paid for by the client and it is important to remember from one time to the next what the client needs are! Her cuts are not the best, the color is ok, however, make sure you pay very close attention to what she is doing. She has had to redo my hair a few times because she did not listen to my request! I'm lucky my hair didn't fall out, however it did break in many places!! Plus YOU will have to help out if you are having highlights done. Anotherwords, you will have to fold the foils on a board as she is unable to do your highlights free handed like most professional stylists! Also make sure you pay close attention when she is cutting your hair otherwise it will not be what you want. She gets upset if you ask her to fix something with your hair too! Be very careful working with Julie if you ever do, as she constantly complains about everyone else in the salon and complains and bad mouths in a big way the owner Kevin. It makes for a VERY uncomfortable visit to the V1 Salon. I should have stopped long ago, however, I had hoped Julie would change. She is not going to be doing my hair anymore and I'm thrilled as I already have someone else who knows what they are doing, has done my hair before and owns their own salon and is professional of which Julie is definitely not! The salon itself is clean and Kevin the owner is a very nice professional individual. He was not aware of how Julie complains and bad mouths him and everyone else all the time. She brings a very negative tone to the salon making clients VERY uncomfortable, then she doesn't like it if you question her on how she is doing your hair! She would not return calls from clients who wanted to make appointments until she was driving home and then complained to the client how she was too tired to go to the salon, however, she also complained she didn't have enough business? Confusing! Her behavior is VERY unprofessional. And her poor behavior unfortunately reflects badly on this salon. The owner is now aware of all of this and hopefully will be able to do something to correct the problems with Julie. She also works at another salon and didn't want the owner to know because she can't get enough business at V1 Salon! I wonder why! read more
