Giving two stars because I do like one of the stylists, but for my experience with Kevin I wish I could give negative stars. I went in for a quick trim and was greeted by Kevin very rudely. His demeanor was so bad, I even asked him if he was OK. My gut feeling told me to walk out, but I needed the trim so I thought why not. He told me everything was fine and to come sit down. When he reached for his white comb to brush my hair, it was so dirty that I thought he was joking. I stopped him and told him to look at the comb and if I could get a clean one. (I thought the stylist's were supposed to use clean combs on each customer?) The comb had so much black hair and black crud on it I couldn't believe it was even sitting out for anyone to see. He got very frustrated with me and put it in the cleaning bin and got a new comb. He then proceeded to tell me how snarly my hair was and what do I put in it to make it like that. I was completely off taken by that comment. As my hair was not snarly at all. My trim was the most uncomfortable five minutes of my life. He was tilting my head in an aggressive way. Grabbing the top of my head and pushing it to the side forcefully. I asked for an inch off and got about a quarter inch off. I just wanted to get out of the store and leave. I emailed corporate and heard nothing back. Someone needs to let Kevin go. read more

Walked in at 7:14 to get a kid's cut (boy cut). We were refused because "a family is coming in and we close in thirty minutes." I asked if they close at 8pm and she said yes. So that was in 45 minutes and the "family" was not present. No one else was waiting in the lobby. Poor service. read more

I would give this place a "0" if I could! Plain and simple, my 80 year old mother was denied service by Joanna at this location, stating that her service dog could not stay with her! When I stated the law regarding service dogs and assured her he was a trained, certified service dog, she continued to refuse my elderly mother service because Joanna was concerned someone may be allergic! Beware! Joanna is rude and unprofessional to name a few of the characteristics we witnessed. Fortunately, we went down the road and found a wonderful, welcoming and professional salon who will be cutting my mother's hair from now on. Poor service and deceptive tipping Went here for a haircut, and the stylist couldn't keep herself from giving me the business about not knowing my trim setting. The most aggravating aspect was that she automatically applied a very high tip at checkout. I prefer setting my tip amount not having the service provider set it for me. I'm not usually one to leave reviews, but if you go here ask for anyone but Jasmine, if you have short hair she doesn't use scissors only clippers, goes way too high with a fade, and doesn't cut evenly on the top with the lazy clipper-only job she does. I usually have a good experience here but Jasmine is awful at giving hair cuts, I could do better. It's a fast process, a little too fast. I was checked in. Ask for a hair cut I got seated at Stephanie's corals chair. Sweet lady, nothing personal but definitely will not recommend to sit in her chair. Got a couple things I didn't like but idk if it's just her or the establishment, I've gone to other great clips but never this one. She seats me and is about to start cutting my hair while it's dry, which is a huge red flag. I told her I need a shampooing, she said it was extra. Which is normal but I didn't expect it to $7 when hair needs to be wet for a hair cut. It's usually $2-$3 extra unless your doing a hair mask. Well I sit at the most uncomfortable hair washing station ever designed, and she ask me what temp I like I say warm. She has given me no warning nor a towel and my head is still at an upright position so I have a wet chest. I quickly lean back the water fluctuates from warm to cold, and is spraying at every angle. Now the equipment is not her fault but it wasn't pleaser to get my face and chest wet. Her shampooing style really pissed me off. She slaps some shampoo on the top of my head several times in the same spot and barely moved it around with her finger tips as if she was grossed out by me. I felt insulted. She kept doing it and rinsing it away and adding more product until my hair started feeling dry. My hair is still filthy. Now I have bleached blonde hair and she didn't offer me any type of special shampoo either, now my hair looks a little brassy. Now again idk if that's her or just the salon. I do know she didn't offer me anything to dry myself or my face. We get back to the chair she is combing my hair like she is grossed out, idk what her problem is I actually have beautiful hair. I usually go to Ashley Maddison where they treat you way better for only a couple bucks more. Christine over there is my go to girl! I just didn't go because she had nothing available. So I'm sitting there watching this lady make faces and proceed to cut my hair and ask me while about to cut, "okay you said 3 inches right?" Now I'm still trying to be polite because honestly I feel as for the woman I think she might have special needs or she is a rude c u next Tuesday. I tell her NO I came in for a trim, I want half an inch off please. She's cutting it and literally combs & snips 3 times and says okay all done. What a fucking joke. She doesn't show me the back she just wants me up and out. I check my hair look at the ground she cut off two inches.. My hair chest and face are wet so I tell her to blow dry it. She does with NO protection spray for heat damage, and does it so fast she bangs the blow dryer twice on my head, like literally. It was an accident but could have been prevented if she wasn't there trying to rush my session and pay some attention to her task at hand and not worry about who is next. My hair still wet she says okay, to signal she is done and puts the blow dryer down. I think she is trying to go fast because there are 5 guest waiting but it's no excuse at all. How does she expect to have repeat clients or get tips at all? She is in the industry where bad reviews and bad word of mouth really break you. Paid $21 to feel insulted, assaulted, and humiliated, and I still need an effing hair cut. Now I really think she has special needs, or is just self absorbed. so I still tipped her $3 because I feel bad for people like her, and I hope she progresses and reads this review and fixes her attitude. I brought $13 to tip today but no Stephanie Carol was not worthy of that generosity. If anything I wish I could get my $21 back because the service was not fulfilled. To top it off my hair is uneven, I noticed but I didn't say anything because I have had enough at this point. Only giving two stars because I'm sure it isn't great clips it's just her. DO NOT GO HERE! the lady was so rude and when i told her my haircut was lip sided she had a problem with fixing it. She ripped off the black cape thing and white thing around my neck. she refused that it was lopsided then which was so frustrating because i wanted my hair to my btw my neck and shoulder yet it WAS STILL TOUCHING MY SHOULDERS. Service was quick even though it said waiting time to be 30 mins, I was greeted by the hair stylist and she asked, I assume the standard questions ( how are you?, what are you up to today, blah blah) she seemed uninterested on my answers (it's fine in a boring person) but she would get upset when I keep asking to cut more on the top, then when it was time to pay I had just my $9.99 card, (I left my wallet in the car) and I paid with that card and she asked me if I want to leave a tip I said not today she got very angry said ok and walked away, I'm sure it wasn't the end of it and I got badmouthed by her to the other customers, very bad experience and will be the last time I'll be there, rather drive longer for better service read more

Went here the past weekend and I needed a haircut STAT! This location is right down the street from me so it was a quick 10min drive. I had called beforehand to see if there was a wait, and there wasn't any, awesome! It's located in the Fry's Shopping Plaza, it's easy to get to and there's plenty of parking. And when you're done you can grab a bite to eat at the eateries that surround the Plaza! Upon entering it's a small Great Clips, but it felt more personal than a larger salon, the hairdressers are attentive and so nice! My hairdresser gave me a super cute short bob like I wanted, and she was just so awesome! I paid $13 for my haircut, another place I had gotten it cut I paid $30 (for a short bob too!). Tried this place ONE more time. The manager was nice and refunded our money last time. So we decided to try them again, today. NEVER again. Will we return here. Don't care if they offered free haircuts for a year. They do a terrible job on the haircuts (consistently uneven.) And have even worse customer service. They completely skipped my sons haircut and took the guy after him. When this was pointed out to the stylist she says "well, he's already sitting in my chair." Seriously? My husband even had to explain to the "stylist" how to even out his sideburns. Which she STILL butchered horribly. You guys are a joke. Pretty decent Great Clips location. Usually not too busy from anytime I've ever seen it and I have always been helped fairly quick. So far I haven't had a bad cut here like some other places around. The actualy cut is usually pretty fast too and within walking distance from home. Great deals if you follow their stuff on email or text. Will return for sure! read more

Went to this location to get a quick trim . As I was sitting down I explained to the stylist what I wanted . I explained to her ( very discreetly ) that I have extensions and I wanted some of the length trimmed off the ends . She told me that they do not cut extensions and that's great clips policy . I've been going to great clips throughout the valley for years . Never had an issue . They stylist said that she would ask the manager about it and the manager belts out Infront of everyone that they do not cut extensions because if they mess them up they've had to replace them. Which to me doesn't make sense because of you mess up a haircut , you could have the same liability . Policy is one thing but when it's not posted anywhere in the salon , on the website and not even in the employee manual you have to question if this is policy or preference . I left the location and went to the fantastic Sams down the street which did a great job . I've been going to this particular location for several years. I always go to the same stylist and she always does a great job. Someone I can rely on. I'm not saying who she is because she's busy enough. I will only say I moved and still go there, even though I'm much farther away and pass many other Great Clips along the way.
