My fade lines in the back also came out noticeably uneven, so I'll likely need to get them corrected elsewhere. That said, the massage gun at the end was a genuinely great touch -- honestly almost worth the $35 on its own -- and I can tell the shop cares about creating a good experience. "DONT GET THE GIRL BARBER" I came here because of the great reviews and because it was recommended. The girl who works here is not only rude but lacks customer service skills. I could tell she was struggling to communicate in English so I spoke to her in Spanish to make her feel more comfortable. We started talking in Spanish and NOW SHE HAD A LOT TO SAY. Here's why I'm not coming back!!! -she was saying that I should come prepared and that because I'm 23 I shouldn't be clueless as to what I wanted. (I clearly told her I wanted a low skin fade and yes I asked for some recommendations and advice but that doesn't mean I'm CLUELESS) She said I was insecure about my hair. (She was literally insulting me). -she kept telling me to stop trying to look in the mirror; to stop moving and let her do her job. (I was literally just staring at the mirror in front of me and I don't remember moving that much). -I didn't like the hair cut (even tho I told her I did because I just wanted to get the hell out) and I paid without tipping her. As I was about to leave she said and I quote "Thanks for the tip" Sarcastically of course. Best old-school mens barbershop I've found. Every 3 months my wife likes to get her nails done and feel pampered. I go here for that experience. Warm shaving cream, straight razors, and a hot towel treatment. My haircut and beard always look great when I leave. And one of the best parts? They wont talk your ear off the whole time like some places. Don't get me wrong, they are very friendly and you can have a great conversation if you want. I'm done with this place. I've had some good haircuts here in the past but I'm looking for a new barber shop after my last experience. I had an appointment set. I show up exactly on time, and the barber I reserved had just started cutting someone else's hair. When I walked in, I think he recognized me as his appointment since he's cut my hair 2-3 times before. He told me to sit down and wait and I said I'll go somewhere else. What's the point of an appointment if I'm waiting ? I went back the next day, and walk in and another barber asks if I have an appointment, and I said actually I came in yesterday with an appointment and all the chairs were full and there were 3-4 people waiting so I left. The new barber is like you should have waited, we all do cuts in between appointments. So I get in the chair and this guy speeds through my haircut. Start to finish was about 10 minutes. It looked okay, but after I got home I could tell it was a rush job. I touched up the top myself with scissors. Also he didn't use the hot towel or anything. I think he was hurrying because he had an appointment customer waiting or on the way. I'm always a good tipper, so I didn't appreciate getting a rushed, less than perfect haircut. They just go for high volume over quality. So I will go someplace else. read more

Not a fan - came here twice (because my regular shop was closed), a year apart, and the experience was identical both times. Won't make the mistake again The cut I got both times was the worst I've had in years and it took forever both times. They also don't pay much attention to detail... no razor even though it's a skin fade, the hot towel isn't very hot and the instructions get ignored (I asked for finger length on the top and my barber barely used the scissors and when he was all done it had already been long enough I didn't have time to sit longer). It's also not a super relaxing place to be - no music, nothing on the TVs. No conversations. Just dead silence and Clippers buzzing. There's trash on the floor, trash cans overflowing and a table with 50 magazines dumped on top. They also don't take cash or card (only cash app) which isn't a problem to me but it just adds to their overall lack of professional feel. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because there could be some great barbers here, I've just never met them. read more

I have been coming here for a couple years now and will go nowhere else! It's in an easy to access shopping center but watch out for rush hour traffic on Camelback road. Parking can be tight during dinner rush due to the restaurants in the area, so I always try to hit them up during the day if possible. Their shop is always clean and well maintained with plenty of comfortable chairs to wait in if need be. I am sure all the barbers there are great because the owner (Shane) is pretty specific on quality, but the only person I book with is Shane himself. His attention to detail is very keen and I appreciate that very much. He uses a straight edge razor masterfully and between his talent and experience, my hair always looks fantastic! Going to a real barber is a whole different experience as compared to the regular places and I will never go back! read more

Very disappointing. I frequent this shop many years ago when they first opened and had great experiences. I just stopped going to barbers for awhile but today I thought I'd go in for a shave. Carlos was my barber. And while he was very friendly, the execution for my service was less than desirable. I could still feel stubble on my face and little hairs on top of my head; I'd paid for a full razor shave on both my face and head. Honestly, it is smoother and with less residual hair left when I do it at home (without a hot towel or straight razor). Poor communication. I came in to get a haircut, I was greeted, but nothing further. I then sat there for over an hour without anybody saying a word to me, patiently waiting for it to be my turn. After the third or fourth person that came in after me was seen I asked what was up. They said these people had appointments, which is totally fine and understandable, but there was zero communication with me. Not a heads up that there are appointments ahead of me and the wait time is probably going to be two hours. Nothing. This used to be my go to barbershop, but I'm sorry to say they just lost a loyal customer. They're plenty of other barbershops around here, and they have customer service skills in addition to hair cutting skills. read more
