Last Thursday I had surgery performed by Dr. Bong to laser a large stone and remove it. Immediately following the surgery I experienced a level 10 pain. The nurse gave me the max of everything she was allowed to give me for pain and also contacted the Dr. The Doctor never came to see me after the surgery to explain what he had done and what he found (or explain why I was in such pain). My pain level remained a 10 while in post op, but even so the nurse was told to send me home (with one days worth of pain medication). My husband had to stop multiple times on the drive home so I could manage my pain. Then on Saturday my pain level hit a new high, I was home alone with my kids and I was afraid something was going to rupture or something was blocked. I tried calling the doctor, but the answering machine gave me no option to reach an on call physician, my only option was to call 911 (which I did for the 1st time in my life) The ER did an ultrasound and found several more stones and were concerned about the level of blood in my urine and gave me antibiotics. On Sunday my pain continued, but now it was an extreme stabbing in the back after I peed that lasted for about 20 minutes. On Monday I called Pikes Peak Urology and left a message about my experience. A nurse called me back and essentially said that is the way it works, and did I want to schedule another appointment for my other stones and to have the stent removed? I am so appalled at their lack of compassion and how the doctor completely abandoned me after surgery. It is unacceptable for him not to come and see me after the procedure and tell me what what he did and what to expect. It is even more unacceptable to not give me access to his practice after hours if I have an emergency related to the surgery. Finally, it is unimaginable the doctor didn't follow up with me after my ambulance ride and ER visit (knowing it was my only option and he never talked to me after the surgery). Needless to say I am scheduled with another practice in Colorado Springs for all my follow up. As you can imagine, Pikes Peak Urology has lost my trust and my business.. read more

I agree totally that the doctors on staff are wonderful. However, the front staff should all be let go and get some 'new' receptionists that do what the job description undoubtedly says. The entire front staff are not only rude, but when they give you an appt, it may not be input into the system (because of chitchatting ). All of them are too busy chitchatting with one another. I went to my (allegedly) appointment, and found that my appointment was not in the system. I produced the card stating it was for yesterday... all I got was a "we don't have you scheduled, today". What happened to decent customer service? What happened to 'the patient is always right'? I might be wrong by saying this, but good customer service seems to be non-existent in the post Covid world. When I worked in the hospital/clinical setting, if patients were accidentally booked double, the provider would either see them both (once talking to the provider) or reschedule one of them. Why wasn't this an option? read more

Docs here are excellent, front office staff, are not. They are rude and very grumpy and they treat everyone that shows up like that! I could not believe what I was seeing. Your front office staff is the first impression patients get of a practice. The women that work at the front desk seem very unhappy, no one smiles or uses a welcoming tone of voice. It is very gruff and business like. I'm shocked that this behavior goes on and nothing has been done about it, however every time I accompany my husband to this office, their attitudes are exactly the same. If your job puts you in a perpetually bad mood, perhaps you should seek employment elsewhere? Also, FYI Ladies, that scowl is etching permanent lines in your face and making you look 10 years older than you are! read more

I had good luck with the providers themselves but billing is awful. I had $98 due for an office visit, and they sent it to a collector without so much as a phone call. I had moved, and for whatever reason USPS must not have forwarded the bill. Now I have the first collection in my LIFE on a credit report, just as I'm securing a mortgage for a house. They are unwilling to do anything to help me, even though I know a creditor can recall a collection after the fact. read more

Watch out, false billings... I called their billing department, they could not give me any explanation for the billing. The lady just said if I refused to pay after three times they would turn it over to a collection agency. Not exactly what I was expecting to hear from them, they have no empathy for the customer. I then contacted my my Healthcare provider and explained that I had received a false bill from them and I want to to contest this billing. The Rep said that her records show that there is "no customer responsibility for this service" they billed me for and she will contact Pikes Peak Urology to let them know I am not responsible for paying this bill. I am not surprised to see this clinic has a 2/5 review. The ONLY upstanding people I met at this practice was Dr Rosevear, one gal who answers the phone name Jackie, Nikki (back office manager), and an MA who's name I can't recall but she deserves all the recognition. It is incredibly unfortunate for them and Dr Rosevear that his staff he has helping him with his practice does not stand up to the heartfelt care he provides. From the first day I walked in the clinic I have been treated with disrespect as if I am an inconvenience to them and have met countless barriers to my care. The gal who checked me in at the front desk has comic strips all over her computer. She was rude and spoke down to me without ever making eye contact. After first visit I was to have a CT scan. It took over a month to get that referral through. And it only happened because I was in so much pain I had to call sobbing and pleading for a referral vs. going to the ER. Thankfully Jackie heard me and took action. The MA that checked me in for my procedure on my second visit was rude - thankfully a different MA came in to assist the doctor and I'm sorry I don't remember her name because she was incredibly kind and deserves recognition. She apologized for the attitude of her coworkers. Upon leaving my second appointment I was to receive a prescription called in and a referral. Dr Rosevear confirmed my pharmacy and told his MA where to send the med. After not getting a call from the pharmacy I called and to request the rx be filled and they tell me they sent it to the wrong pharmacy. Unfortunately that pharmacy didn't have enough of the meds so they "partially filled it" and as such I cannot get it filled at MY pharmacy because insurance won't switch a partial fill. Back to that referral I was supposed to have? They tell me I will hear about it by the following Wed. No calls so I call to inquire -- Heather tells me it was sent in. I call the specialist and they say they've received nothing. Finally I get the referral sent by the back office manager Nikki who was helpful but made repeated excuses for her staff. A couple of rounds of calls to get my referral and I find from the specialist that they won't see me til labs are ordered. So I call and request labs. I will admit I was pretty frustrated at this point because I spent the latter part of my morning (and the past month) with the back and forth and just like with my CT I insisted I get some answers same day. I received a call from the "clinical supervisor" Heather. She spoke to me in a threatening and forceful tone telling me she was calling to address the fact that I was unhappy with how the referral was sent. I explained it was not me who was not happy with the referral but the specialist. She continued on to let me know they were doing me a favor by ordering the lab work and defending themselves for why the steps weren't taken to see that I got the care their MD suggested in the first place. I am grateful for Dr Rosevear and I'm sure their entire Physician team is fabulous. But I hope if any of the team care about their patients like I think they do that they consider this one patient experience and make some changes. I would talk to them myself but Heather explained to me she is the boss and her only supervisor is Dr. Rosevear. When I asked if I could speak to him she explained I would need an appt. I asked to be transferred and she explained she would put me through to scheduling and "if they have time they can answer and assist you" I told Heather she was rude and she told me I was too. I hung up the phone to not be belittled any further by some women who has never even met me and doesn't know patient care or have empathy for the fact that I have been struggling since the onset of symptoms September 5 to get some resolve for a change in my health. She has no heart and should not be in the medical profession if she is talking to patients like she did to me today. read more

The medical procedure itsel was great. The office and billing team might be the most incompetant group of people I have ever had to deal with. Seriously. Due to a billing error that was completely the fault of CSUA were were double billed for roughly $750. We paid the first time using our HSA but were told the payment did not go through. In good faith we paid with personal funds and sought remedy with the HSA bank. In short after 6 months of back and forth it was finally determined that CSUA did indeed double bill us. Mind you this is after repeatedly ensuring us this was not the case. Fine. Mistakes happen. However we were then told it would be up to 45 days for us to get our funds back. Because they only issue refund checks once a month. Wait. What. First, you make so many billing errors that you can only request checks once a month. Second it's our money that you have had for 6 months or more. Ridiculous. After expressing my displeasure I was assured by Dorothy that I wouild get a call back with some kind of resolution. Guess what didn't happen. So here we are $750 poorer with no clear path to getting the money everyone agrees is ours. The excuse we got is that HSA's are hard. Seriously, you work in medical billing and HSA's are hard. Lord help me. If you don't mind being charged gigantic amounts of money fraught with billing errors by all means give these folks a try. I would personally run fast and far in the other direction. The single worst office staff I have ever seen. Seriously even a McDonalds could process a refund in a more reasonable timeframe I'm certain. read more

Some good docs but counter staff brisk and a bit gruff getting your co-pay and insurance cards. A bit assembly line like! Everyone pees in the cup every time -WHY? Requires you to come 30 minutes prior to appointments, but Docs almost always 10 minutes or more late. Doc's will spend the needed time with each patient though. Do not agree with Heather about Dr Bong but every customer has different views. I do think four practice Docs could review prior to visit to save co-pay and change you to another Doc due to need. My co-pay is $50 each time I step in the door. read more

I regret so much to leave such a poor review. I've been a patient at this practice for over 10 years. The care by the doctor I see is fantastic but my recent experience with the staff has collapsed my trust. Two days after my appointment, I was called and told there was an issue with my sample. When I inquired what the issue was, I was told it was "thrown". Then in a separate call with a different staff member, I was told it was spilled (TMI, I know). So now I've been lied to. I live 3 hrs away from this practice and was asked to go to a local lab the staff member assured me was open to redo the lab work. I asked her to call the lab in order to confirm it was open and that they had received the orders she said she was sending. She called me back to confirm it was open and they had received my lab order. But wait, surprise! The lab is actually closed, as I suspected. Was I lied to again? It appears I was. At this point, in order to complete lab work, my only option is to have an urgent care appointment with a new physician, likely to the tune of several hundred dollars or drive 3+ hrs round trip, on a Friday, on I-70, to a Front Range lab. The doctor's MA assured me she would work something out for me at around 10 am on a Friday and then I never heard back from her or anyone else. I have requested a call from the physician. I really don't know what to expect going forward. I don't know how this can be rectified and I'm doubtful anyone at the practice will care enough to try and rectify it anyway. read more

Went to this office as a referral from the ER...I am so happy to have made the appointment and now be a patient of this team. Was greeted warmly and checked in immediately upon arrival at the office. The ease of checking-in was facilitated by their call to me and help getting everything together and ready for my visit. They were all so nice and friendly... I was blessed to see Dr Biggers...what a lovely man and manner, putting me right at ease. He completely addressed my issues, and made me so comfortable that I felt free to ask every question on my mind. One could not leave an office with more confidence and resolution and hope! read more

Dr. Moody and staff basically saved my life. The team helped get me in to diagnose my condition in a timely matter and then successfully surgically removed a huge kidney stone. I had been in pain for over a year and could no longer function. I was losing hope. Dr Moody saved me by removing the stone. I can't thank the team enough for putting up with me. Dr Bong is the worst doctor. I was literally told to get the *F* out of his office after no exam was performed and I told him I couldn't afford the $310 cream. I asked for my copay of $70 back since nothing was done. He said this in front office staff and other patients. read more

I had a prescription but when I tried to get it refilled I was told I needed to have another appointment before I could get it refilled. I called PPU and gave my information. was put on hold for over 25 minutes while they checked my records. Someone finally answered and started over. I said I was literally on hold for over 25 minutes and was told "we are literally short staffed so that happens" I asked for the manager and was transferred to a voice mail. I called them back and manger I spoke to asked me my information multiple times because she forgot, said they lost my records so needed them again, and said could not even guess why they let my prescription run out before they contacted me. Same reviews as others. OK DRs but office manager has trained office to be as rude, unresponsive and inattentive as she is. read more

PA Abbot is horrible!! She would not listen to me and would rush me out of the office. If that isn't bad enough, she also said that I don't listen....I tried EVERYTHING that she suggested. Obviously, listening was never taught to her, or being a decent human being. DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

I'll start by saying that the medical staff and Dr. Bong were great. However, the front office staff are RUDE! First, they didn't explain the paperwork so my husband and I filled out the wrong sheets and when I informed the secretary of our mistake she acted put out by the whole situation. Then I was called up to the desk and told by a different secretary to finish the insurance portion, so on my way back to sit down the dark hair, previously mentioned secretary yelled out my name and said so everyone could hear that I needed to give a urine sample now because my appointment had already started. So I left my husband with the paperwork, a diaper bag, and our 3 month old son in his car seat to give a urine sample. While I was gone they asked my husband to go back and give a sample and he asked politely if you could wait till I got back because he was watching his child, the dark hair secretary rudely said "No, you need to go now." He asked to speak to the office manager who was just as rude about the whole situation. Seems like they could have been more understanding about our unique situation, but forced my husband to leave our child in the lobby, which luckily I was done when he was walking to speak to the manager. As previously stated....Doctors are great, secretaries up front...total biatches!!! read more

Dr. Bong and medical staff are AMAZING! However, the front desk staff is less then desirable. They are rude and condescending.

Office staff is not the friendliest. No one, including the doctor could give me a price for my vasectomy. I have insurance and they don't verify or give a service estimate. So basically, you will no know the cost of the procuder until you are billed for it. Not the best business model. But then again, it isn't the best business. read more
