Discovered this place next to my work and it is so so so good. Got the chicken Provençal sandwich and it was sooo good. My mom got the Niçoise salad and said it was excellent. Next time I came back I got the Parisian which I didn't like as much as the Provençal. I did get the coffee eclair which was amaze. Smells so good inside like fresh bread. Very small little place with some very big taste and flavor in their food! I think it is meant for take out but they did have 3 tables outside. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside. I had the Niçoise salad. It was really good. My friend had a sandwich which had turkey and goat cheese and I think arugula on a baguette. She said it was amazing. We will definitely be back soon! I was searching for scones on Yelp and unexpectedly found this tremendous gem that is Piknik located in this small plaza just north of the Northlake-Military intersection going southbound on Military. They produce tremendous baked goods and pastries such as their buttery croissants and sweet and satisfying eclairs. Their breakfast sandwich was tremendous with the buttery croissants and savory bacon. Combined with the fluffy scrambled eggs, it was completely magical and poignant; poignant and magical. The eclair brought me to a state of nirvana from which I will return to enjoy more of their sandwiches. And pastries. And croissants. Also one of their sandwiches apparently has mortadella (or can come with it). So definitely will be back. While the seating is limited to the outside with the inside limited to ordering at the front counter with space for a couple of fridges that offer cheese and refreshment, the food is exemplary for sandwiches and the service is great with a smile. read more

So glad I stopped in. Been wanting to try this place. I've heard great things. The owner was so nice and friendly. They were actually photographing the sandwiches while I was there and they looked amazing. I got the scrambled egg and cheese on baguette. This is a legit French bakery. I got a cappuccino made perfectly with thick foam. The owner gave me some on a spoon to taste. I also got an almond croissant and he threw in a plain croissant. What a great start to the day. Bread was good , spent 75.00 for 4 sandwiches and 2 eclairs the pictures they show are quite deceiving as my French Salami with a fancy name for gherkins topper which I had 2 tiny little ones , the salami was your typical small salami slice so thick couldn't even chew it . we were 4 people , 2 turkey clubs moderately filled certainly not hardy . as the portions were minute the quality of the food was good . place is way overpriced for what you get . Do yourself a favor go to Publix and order a sub you will be much more satisfied and still have money left for dinner . Monday lunch , owner nowhere to be found . my 3 stars rating is what this place is worth ! no more no less read more

There are not enough stars on this app to give Piknik the recognition it deserves. The staff is incredibly friendly and the breakfast sandwich with bacon and the ham, egg and cheese croissant were absolutely FANTASTIC. I'm a huge fan of savory breakfast to begin with a the fact that neither of these egg sandwiches needed a sauce of some kind (ketchup, hot sauce etc.) was absolutely mind blowing! The icing on the cake is Chef Christophe handwriting wonderfully positive sayings on each to-go container. You can tell he genuinely cares about each dish and his costumers experience. Amazing! First of all, the woman working the counter was French! And those four years of high school French that I took did me no good when I walked in . She greeted us, she guided us, she fed us with free soup samples--service was needless to say spectacular. The food was even better :-) we ordered the turkey club, and the roasted veggie sandwich, both of which came on fresh French baguettes. Oh and their Dijon mustard brought tears to my eyes it was so good! We ordered a croque monsieur with roasted cauliflower soup to take home for dinner. Later we found out they were super delish (boyfriend was tres heureux (very happy). They had outside seating on wrought iron chairs/tables--like a true sidewalk café. I decided to stop by after I read an article in the Palm Beach Post stating that Piknik was ranked #11 in Yelp's top 100 for Top Sandwich Shops in America. Not sure what I was expecting but the entrance is in a very non-descript strip mall. I ordered from a friendly employee at the register then sat at a small table outside to wait for it (there is no where to sit inside). Unfortunately, even though I I ordered the Italian sandwich, a Turkey was brought out instead so I had to wait again for the correct sandwich. It was taking longer than expected to change the order so I went inside to check on it...so far not a great experience right? But this is when the positives began leading to an amazing five-star experience. When I went to check on the order, Chef Christophe himself asked me what I ordered and I let him know the error and he said that he would check on it immediately and because of the issue, he gave me the turkey sandwich that was made anyway. Okay, first awesome service recovery action. Then, I asked if I could have a cup of water and he said, no that will be warm and instead handed me a cold bottle from the fridge at no charge...even better! After that, I sat at the table outside and began eating my sandwich and the bread was so delicious and fresh which really makes the sandwich. If you come for anything, come for the bread! While I was eating, Chef Christophe came out and checked on me and asked if it was my first time and since it was, he brought out a little pastry for me to try (also so tasty)...how cool! 100% come here for the food and service (thank you Chef Christophe) however, it might be better to order to go unless you are okay sitting outside! read more

What an absolute hidden treasure. We stumbled in here late on a Saturday afternoon and were so warmly greeted by Christophe himself. He explained the concept, the offerings and my better half ordered the Parisian (the entire menu is on the wall and very self explanatory). The sandwich was on a freshly made baguette with perfect butter, ham and cornichon. You could smell how fresh the baguette was and it was obvious by the chew that it was perfectly baked. We sat outside-they have several bistro style tables and about half way through, Christophe came out to make sure we were doing ok. Absolutely stellar food, an amazing owner/operator. Fantastic croissants, incredibly personable owner and chef (which explains why they knew every customer by name), and great little shop. I stopped by on a weekday morning for croissants and a cappuccino. I expected the croissants to be great based on their 5 star review but I was not prepared for the outstanding customer service. By time lunch rolled around they had a small line out the door. It's very clearly a popular local spot. Inside the shop is small, with just enough room for ordering. Outside has 2 tables, with seats for 4 people at each one. Parking is free in the lot in front of the shop. I came across this bakery a few months ago, but was unable to stop by as their hours and my timing were off. I finally got a chance to stop by the other day and boy was I impressed. The place is a small bakery with just one window display. They have additional pastries on a rack behind the cashier. We tried the Chicken Provençal sandwich, the Turkey Club (minus the bacon), an apple turnover, and an almond croissant. Everything tasted great, but the almond croissant was the show stopper. This was by far the best almond croissant I've ever had. The prices are a little high, but you are getting good quality and delicious food. The service is excellent and they even write nice positive messages on the bags and to-go containers. If you haven't been, you are missing out. read more

You know you've entered an authentic French cafe when the staff and patrons are all speaking French. (don't worry if you don't have a handy translator as a date, they speak English too) The secret to the best experience is getting here early. The pastries almost always sell out, especially on the weekends. The pain au chocolat is my favorite, but you really cant to wrong. Apple tarts are always a hit too. As for the sandwiches, I love the croque monsieur and Saucisson Beurre (with cornichons of course)! Definitely ask for the soup of the day. I have not had a bad one.
