Grimaldi's, what can I say. Probably one of if not the best pizza restaurant in Palm Beach Gardens(in my opinion)! Been eating here for years! That oven baked over fire pizza is simply delicious! I usually get the pepperoni with spicy sausage and basil(cooked on)! The drinks are really really good as well, and the desserts also. The environment is friendly, waiter & waitress really do a splendid job. The Manager is great as well, checks on you to see how you enjoyed your visit. Not many places do that! We visited your restaurant today and truly loved the overall experience. The ambiance and decor were beautiful, and your staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. The pizza was delicious, and we were very happy with our server--she was lovely. Overall, everything was wonderful. However, unfortunately, there was a major concern regarding hygiene. While serving our food, the servers' fingers were touching the food directly. When our salad was brought, our server's long pink nails were inside the bowl, touching the salad. We had to remove the part that was touched. Then when our pizzas arrived, again, fingers were in contact with the pizza while serving. This was quite disappointing. Because our server was so kind, we didn't want to upset her by mentioning it at the time. However, for such a beautiful restaurant with such lovely staff, we would really expect proper hygiene training in this area. We truly wish this had not happened. Unfortunately, unless this issue is addressed, we don't think we would return. read more

My sister in law invited us all here for family dinner. I started with the desert pear margarita for my drink and actually tried the seasonal buffalo chicken pizza for a change. It was spectacular and a big hit at the table with everyone. My husband wasn't a big fan so he ordered our regular pizza with pepperoni and spicy chicken sausage to go as that never disappoints. I love to come here before going to the movie theaters nearby! The staff is always friendly and the vibe is very retro Italian and I absolute love everything I've eaten there. The buffalo chicken pizza is delicious if you like Gorgonzola (I'm not a huge fan but my fiancé loves it!). My absolute favorite pizza is on the signature menu and is called the Garden pesto, and I usually recommend it on a cauliflower crust because it makes it feel a little healthier and is so super delicious. Seeing an early movie in the area and decided to quickly grab a bite to eat and have a cocktail before showtime. Conveniently located directly across from the movie theatre this restaurant has a prime location. The restaurant wasn't busy with maybe two other tables seated. We decided to sit at the bar. The bartender pretty quickly brought over water and took our drink orders. My friend and I both ordered the 'Giant Slice' special which comes with one slice of pizza (toppings are additional) and a fountain drink or tea for around $8. For my drink I had a sweet tea and I ordered a sunshine spritz cocktail. The cocktail was good, ironically enough I was a bit worried when I saw the bartender flipping through booklets looking for the instructions on how to make it but it turned out well lol. An old friend of mine from college is a fellow pizza enthusiast. He reached out to me to suggest that we try this Grimaldi's location together. I've read about this chain for years, but this was my first time visiting, so let's begin at the beginning... The atmosphere at this location is warm and welcoming. The interior is replete with red-checkered table clothes and lots of brick, giving the place a relaxing, Mom & Pop Italian restaurant vibe. We arrived for dinner quite a bit before dinner time, so even without a reservation we were seated promptly without a wait. Our very friendly waitress took our drink orders right away, and then gave us a few minutes to consider the menu. After due consideration, we decided to share a pizza and a Calzone. Here's what we ordered: For the pizza we went with "The Don" - a Traditional crust pizza topped with Italian Sausage, Meatballs and Pepperoni. For the Calzone, we ordered one personal size with meatballs and pepperoni added (Ricotta cheese is a default with Gimaldi's Calzone). Tip: I'm told that the water for the pizza dough they make here is imported from NYC, which partially explains why their crusts taste so good! The first essential element of World Class pizza is an exceptional crust. Grimaldi's uses coal-fired brick ovens to bake its pies, which results in an exceptional and thin New York style crust that's crisp like a cracker; it's got a unique flavor and consistency that wouldn't be possible baking with either gas or wood ovens. Additionally, Grimaldi's doesn't supersaturate their cheese and sauce with olive oil, which allows their flavors to naturally enhance the taste of the crust. Let's talk about the best of our food selections first - the Calzone was the high point of our meal! It's hard to find words to describe exactly how good that ricotta cheese tastes when you first bite into the Calzone. The filling and the dough complement each other perfectly, and the additional flavor and subtlety added by the meatballs and pepperoni elevated the overall taste profile. Next up we tried the pizza, and we were both quite impressed. The crust (the heart and soul of an exceptional pie) was perfect; slightly bubbly and crunchy while still providing a very satisfactory chew and a nice flavor. The cheese was melted perfectly, the sauce had just the right amount of zesty zing to it, and the sauce-to-cheese ratio was right on the money! We throughly enjoyed our meal! My only complaint was with the service - after taking our food order, the waitress completely vanished (someone else brought out our food), didn't come to check on us during the meal, and we eventually had to ask the hostess for our check. Despite this glitch, I can't in good conscience give Grimaldi's less than 4 stars, and I look forward to returning soon :-) read more

The server was super nice and had us sign up for rewards to receive a starter for free since it was our first time there. Our kids got some kids dough to play with while we waited. I love restaurants that do this! We ordered the bruschetta and the quattro formaggi pizza. This pizza was unique (five cheeses and no red sauce) and so good l, but if you have picky eaters maybe opt for just a simple cheese/pepp pizza. Great ambiance, it was clean and pretty relaxed. Pretty ok place. We got a 12" margherita pizza to go. They give complimentary bread with sides of olive oil and balsamic, which was a nice bonus. If you like thin crust with crunch, then you'll dig this place. The sauce was strongly tomatoey, which also isn't my favorite, but hey someone might love that. The woman who took our order was nice. We had about a 30 minute wait at noon on Saturday, which was kinda surprising since the restaurant wasn't busy. Looked like lots of indoor and outdoor seating, I liked that they had a to-go window. This review is for the Palm Beach Gardens location. I had been a regular at the Garden City, NY location for many years. We had our third carry out pizza last night after returning from Italy and driving up from MIA. We ordered extra cheese and half pepperoni (for my son,) and specifically asked that there are no scorch marks. My second order came that way without asking, the first had some scorched bubbles and basil which is not uncommon for coal or wood fired oven pizza. The 3 of us were ooo and ahing over how good the pizza was. And this was just after returning from Italy where they are not unfamiliar with pizza. The price at just shy of $30 was not cheap for a pie, but in our opinion it was the best pie we've had since moving to Florida. read more
