We decided to stop by this location while we were in Chico for other business. I've purchased from their online store before, so visiting a physical location seemed like a great opportunity. When we walked in, no one greeted us, even though several people behind the counter clearly saw us and simply stared without saying a word. We shrugged it off at first and continued looking around. However, about a minute later another pair of less diverse customers walked in and were immediately greeted warmly and asked if they needed help by the same individuals who had watched us enter without acknowledging us. At that point we decided to leave. We will not be returning to this store, and I will no longer be purchasing from their website either. It's unfortunate, because we were genuinely excited to find a local place where we could support the hobby in person. It was a very disappointing experience.

I don't give my info out over the phone sense a couple years ago I had lots of money stolen from my bank I chatted with the on line person to see if I could order it on line and they could just upgrade the over night shipping from there but very rudely let me know how things work and I didn't know what I was talking about thinking someone would steal from me with my info. I explained to him how others could get the info and do anything they want with it and I thanked him for treating me so badly and wished him a very merry Christmas. I wounder if they care about anyone other then their in store customers but I have read some of there in store visit folks as well. I'm glad there are other hobby stores out there and I am not stuck dealing with these folks. He sets up a Discord where people can buy sell and trade with each other, doesn't set any rules for how transactions and trades should be held on his platform, and then gets mad and will ban anyone who blindly breaks the rules he has written in his head. He'll claim that communication is important, then not so much as DM you when he decides to ban you. Honestly, this one interaction I saw there has soured my entire experience with this shop, and I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone so long as it's under the current owner.

I was told that framing for a drawing would be done the next day. The next day came and went and I…read moregot no phone call from them to tell me why there was a delay. So two days later I called four times at various points in the morning and got no answer. Then later that evening, I was told that the framing was finished. When I picked up the picture, it was not centered in the frame. Probably 1/4 of an inch tilted at an angle. Just enough to bother you when you look at the picture. The framing department could improve with communication and take better care to ensure that custom framing projects are accurately centered in the frame. I had to have it reframed at Chico Paper Co. I hope that this is not a common experience, it's possible that I just fell through the cracks, but something can be learned from this for both the potential customer and the store. And you also get what you pay for. Bargain framing isn't always a bargain.

Be weary of negative reviews you find, since he use to have another comic book store spread lies and rumors trying to run him out of business. He has also banned cheaters (which were decisions made because the other players brought them to his attention) who seem to live only to ruin his reputation now.
