Came here for a class with a friend! I've been doing lagree for about two years (so not a pro), and…read morewanted to try a new studio. The instructor was in training so this is not representative of all classes - fyi. The workout was a bit clunky at times in terms of cuing and I wish there were shoutout for more modifications (advancements vs regressions), but overall challenging with good breaks. The music was definitely energizing, the space was spacious and bright. There are two private changing areas, cubbies, water dispenser and a k cup machine for complimentary coffee, which is a nice touch! Also, huge perk that there's free two hour parking at ROWDTLA! All in all a great and challenging workout- only comment is for the cuing and mods. :)

If you're looking for a studio with a challenging workout, easy parking, and caring instructors…read morethis is it! Everything from the instruction, the location, and the equipment reflects that the team here really cares about providing the best quality possible at an accessible price point. The workout combines cardio pushes, strength training, and emphasis on form. The end result is a well rounded full body workout. I love that they don't just emphasize the lower body but work out the upper body as well. There's also a lite version that is slower and emphasizes mobility, stretching, and breath. My only complaint is that I wish they offered this class on the weekends. I really like that class but the class times are a little inconvenient for me. For the instructors, I can't say enough good things about them. They are super patient and invested in giving you the best workout at your level. They really create a welcoming environment here by checking in and empowering you throughout the workout. Each instructor has their own style and playlist so it never gets repetitive. The studio itself is clean, spacious, and conveniently located. Parking is free and easy. The reformers are appropriately spaced out. The handle bars have removable liners for easy cleaning. They offer plenty of wipes after class for cleaning. There are complimentary towels and other small touches to make sure you're comfortable in your workout. There's also a huge mirror in the front to help you with form. Lastly, this class is hard but doable. Plan to arrive a little earlier to stretch. Bring plenty of water to hydrate because you will sweat in class! However after you're done, you'll feel very empowered and accomplished.

Finally writing a review for Movement Pilates as I'm almost near the end of my 10 sessions!! (I was…read morenot able to find the Yelp page for their new location so I'll write it here) They moved to Western and 4th (2nd floor where Atelier by Tiffany hair salon is). I was following Movement Pilates on Instagram and saw that they were offering a promotional rate. After a few DM's, I decided to give it a try and signed up. I made it pretty clear that I didn't mind a different instructor the first couple of sessions since it would give me an opportunity to find an instructor that works for me. After a couple of different instructors, I WAS finally able to find someone that I liked. I won't name the others, but must point out that LIWON was the best instructor out of all of them. She is extremely professional and you can tell that she's experienced and highly qualified. She really tries to help you use the correct muscles and will push you enough to be motivated, and not discouraged. She doesn't get distracted and will focus on you and your posture while giving you adjustments as needed. Compared to some other pilates classes I've taken in the past, the approach they take is slower paced. This can be good/bad, depending on what you're looking for. If you want to focus on having a better posture during your workouts, I would highly recommend Movement Pilates. The studio itself is very well managed and clean. You can tell they do a great job maintaining the place. I also love the fact that they send you a reminder text before your classes, this is soooo helpful :) *PARKING: validated valet $2 or residential street parking a few blocks away.
