When a business owner (Grace) goes out of her way to NOT greet clients or say hello (and talk poorly behind their backs), it sets the tone for the overall vibe of the place. She continues to be outwardly inconsiderate to her clients and her teachers. She openly spoke to many people about how she canceled a very successful teacher (who needed the job) because that teacher had clients that she deemed "too privileged." Would you want a business owner speaking poorly about you if you were supporting her business? This is the kind of person that Grace is. Ask anyone.

And for some odd reason I decided to buy/try a VHS cassette of "Power Yoga" and was immediately hooked. Fast forward 15 years and I finally tried yoga in a studio setting - "Movement Journeys" (the first/original studio at this very location) which lasted for a few years. Fast forward another 13(ish) years (time sure flies by, huh?) and I was in need of a (new) studio to continue my practice so I signed up for a weekday "mixed yoga" class here at '108'. From the reception area to the studio itself... everything was so much nicer and warmer and inviting than from what I recall from the prior studio. The workers/instructors could not have been any sweeter or welcoming. And the class? After so much mileage on the mat I was pretty confident I'd be able to handle the hour but before you knew it the instructor had us attempting 'Bird of Paradise' pose and I was smitten. (To say it's a challenging pose would be an understatement.) A clean studio. Awesome staff. A class that's demanding and rewarding. (Not to mention class starts and ends on time - which was never the case at the last studio I used to go to a few towns over.) What more could you ask for? Consider me a fan. The Perfect Studio for Beginners -- and Beyond!…read more As someone completely new to yoga, I was a little nervous walking into my first class -- but this studio put me at ease right away. From the moment I arrived, the staff and instructors were incredibly welcoming and kind. There's a peaceful, inviting energy to the space that immediately makes you feel comfortable, even if you have no idea what you're doing (like I didn't at first!). The instructors are amazing at explaining everything clearly and offering modifications without making you feel singled out. They strike the perfect balance between encouraging and supportive, and I never once felt out of place. I've already noticed an improvement in my flexibility, stress levels, and overall mindset -- something I never expected so quickly as a beginner. The classes are thoughtfully paced, and there's a wide variety to explore as I build confidence in my practice. What's even more special is the sense of community here -- people are friendly, down-to-earth, and genuinely encouraging. A yoga studio should be a place where people come to find peace, serenity, and positive energy, but unfortunately that was not the atmosphere I encountered. The negative energy at the front desk completely overshadowed what should have been a relaxing experience. To be fair, my instructor, David, was fantastic. He was professional, knowledgeable, and created a wonderful class environment. The instructors appear to genuinely care about their students and the quality of their teaching. What made the experience even more concerning was that, after mentioning my interaction, several people I spoke with at the studio indicated that they had experienced similar behavior from the front desk staff member. One person even commented that while the instructors are amazing, the individual at the front desk often comes across as rude and brings negative energy into the space. Hearing that made me feel that my experience may not have been an isolated incident. Afterward, I attempted to address my concerns privately before posting a public review. I reached out directly and also sent a message through social media in hopes of speaking with ownership or management. Unfortunately, my concerns were not addressed, and my attempt to have a professional conversation was unsuccessful. When I tried to follow up, I was met with the same dismissive attitude that caused the issue in the first place. As someone who regularly visits and reviews businesses, I understand that everyone can have a bad day. However, when guests are repeatedly met with hostility, dismissiveness, or condescension, it reflects poorly on the business as a whole. Customer service matters, especially in a wellness space where people are specifically seeking a positive and supportive environment. My best friend and I are from the area, and we were genuinely excited to support a local business. Unfortunately, the experience left us feeling unwelcome rather than valued as customers. While David's class was excellent and deserves recognition, the front desk experience left a lasting negative impression that management should take seriously. The class times worked out great as I was always able to go right after work. During the beginning of the pandemic I transitioned with them from studio classes to virtual and they were great! Although it became a bit pricy for me to continue attending, I still want to shoutout this studio. I have nothing but incredible things to say!! Miss going in person so much and seeing everyone!

Once things settled down and I wanted a regular practice I was going to do some hoping around and cane back to Verona Yoga first and never went anywhere else! Their prices are very reasonable, the teachers are all really great. It's always clean and welcoming, the music they play is calming. I'll be a regular customer for a long time - I definitely encourage you to check it out!!
