Another review I wished I wrote two years ago! Such a homey studio with such incredible yoga teachers. I always felt comfortable in the studio, and above all, it was very clean. The class times worked out great as I was always able to go right after work. During the beginning of the pandemic I transitioned with them from studio classes to virtual and they were great! Although it became a bit pricy for me to continue attending, I still want to shoutout this studio. I have nothing but incredible things to say!! I have been coming to Verona Yoga regularly for a few months now. I LOVE it!! I started after my son was born and couldn't make the schedule work. Once things settled down and I wanted a regular practice I was going to do some hoping around and cane back to Verona Yoga first and never went anywhere else! Their prices are very reasonable, the teachers are all really great. It's always clean and welcoming, the music they play is calming. This is a good studio for beginners and those looking for more intimate classes. The classes are small, usually between 5-10 people. Most of the classes and students are at the beginner level, so this can be frustrating to the more advanced yogis. Kristin and Nicole are 2 teachers who explore more advanced poses. In general though, all of the instructors are very helpful and walk around making or suggesting adjustments. The teachers are open to gearing classes towards targeted areas suggested from the students. Instructors, Kristin and Nicole are best for the more advanced/everyday yogis. Instructors, Sue and Laura are great for students looking for more gentle or restorative yoga practice. I always leave feeling less stressed and happy with how my practice is improving. They also have belly dancing, kung fu, tai chi, and kids yoga classes. Occasionally, workshops and events are offered as well. I've only done yoga here though. read more

I love this yoga studio, I joined a few months ago, coming back to yoga after quite a while and it was the perfect complement to my other more cardio-based exercise sessions. It's low key relaxed and authentic atmosphere really encourages all levels of practice. It has small classes, I think the most people in a class I've been to is 15. Classes offered are from beginner to open level so people can choose easily for what is suitable for them. They also do great packages which make it a great price. It's perfect. read more

I've been coming here for about a year and a half. The main reason is Sue, my favorite instructor. I've taken classes with a variety of other instructors, most I've enjoyed, a few I have not, but I consistently love to come back for her classes. Every teacher brings something different and has a different style of teaching. Try whichever classes you can for your schedule- you should find someone you jive with. My only gripe is that I wish they offered more evening class times/options, but they're a small studio so they do the best they can I guess. Full disclaimer: I have never tried another yoga studio. I took my first class at Verona yoga on Friday after trying 3 other studios and never quite feeling comfortable. Within the first 10 minutes of class I knew I had found the place I had been looking for all along. Janine was so attentive to each student and really stressed the importance of good form, correcting us as we needed. The class was the perfect flow to allow for proper learning and confidence building. The class flew by! I had such a great time and by the time I left I felt so wonderful and at peace and already thinking about the next time I could go back. This is definitely the place for me! Verona Yoga is the perfect yoga studio for beginners, like me! Lisa is one of the owners and the first person I met at VY. She encouraged me to take my first yoga class, and then, more importantly, empowered me to return for a second class, and then a third.... Lisa is good vibes personified: positive and inclusive, patient and relaxed. She's passionate about yoga and has an easy-going, come-as-you-are style that defines the studio. The teachers are yoga-smart and super friendly and attentive - ready to offer advice, fix a pose, answer questions. When I'm there, I feel comfortable, always. And I'm learning at my own pace. VY is all about yoga, and that's a good thing. Teachers are better-focused. Classes are well-planned and thoughtful. Students (clients) are satisfied. As a beginner, I appreciate yoga classes that fit my level and are not intimidating. And I love that the teachers care enough to make each session a peaceful personal experience. A few practical points, because they matter: studio is clean, metered parking lot is behind VY, and classes are less expensive than those offered at other studios. I shopped around; VY's individual class prices are generally cheaper, and packages are much less expensive - about half the cost of some yoga studios and boutique gyms in the area. read more

I love this place. I have been going for almost 2 months and have encountered several of their teachers. They are gentle, guiding and provide individual attention to all of their students. This is GREAT yoga studio. I love the pace that this moves in. The instructor is very laid back and friendly. I had a groupon to try a few studios in the area. This is probably the best one in terms of the actual practice. The studio is located in a slightly busy street. There is a municipal parking lot behind the studio, so make sure you bring change for the meter (which is free after 6). I used to come to the 6pm classes so it was great. I am really bad with names so I do not remember the name of the instructor. She was a young instructor who really pushed you to try new things. Also, on the other hand, she allowed people to try something less challenging in case some pose seemed too much for them. The classes were small which for me is very important. I am relatively new to yoga so I know that it is important to learn the proper way to perform certain poses and I think a big class is hard to manage in the sense of a one-to-one approach. I left this studio so energized and having sweat A LOT! Which I actually enjoyed. The room is slightly heated. Make sure you bring water. Also, I recommend bringing your own mat. They provide some in the studio but...they are a bit too thin for my taste. The studio is a bit far from me. It is a good 30 minute drive (without traffic) which is the only con for me. I would really enjoy coming here again. I actually have thought about it so I recommend it to anyone interested in getting a great workout and getting some relaxation at the same time! Got a great deal from Groupon and took my very first class with Sue and I loved it. I am a bit out of shape from an injury and was apprehensive about being in an over achieving yoga class ( i have gone to quite a few of them). But Sue was sweet and gentle and although she tries a few positions I could not quite get a hold off, I did not feel any pressure to keep up. Instead she encouraged us to modify as our body needs. Loved it, will keep going. read more

I took my first class at Verona Wellness Center today and I've been looking for a studio like this. A small studio with positive energy. As soon as I walked through the door, Janine was welcoming and friendly. Her class was strong and solid. A lot of studios in the area have stale and "clicky" environments, but this studio is nothing like the others. I am looking forward to visiting again. read more

I've tried several classes now at Verona yoga and each one offers something different. I look forward to beginner yoga on Thursday nights, even though I'm not a beginner the class is perfect after a long day! Tuesday night warm yoga is great too, she challenges us to try new poses and guides us each step. Last but not least restorative on Sunday's, the right way to reset for the upcoming week! This Yoga studio is as good as it gets. The classes are great as are the students. The atmosphere is very peaceful. Prices are great too. $15/One class and there are memberships like $25/ Two classes a month. In the back there is a jazzercise studio which shares the back parking lot but you can also park on the street out front. The lighting gives the classes a great sense of serenity. I have a new class here on Monday's at 4, which is a Kundalini Restorative class (It is very slow and balances your inner energy). This is a great studio with terrific instructors (Laura & Sue are my favorites). I tried yoga a couple of times before coming to VY&WC but didn't enjoy it because the teachers weren't helpful. They stood at the front of the room flowing through the various positions without walking the room to help students. That's not the case at VY&WC. Teachers want you to leave feeling restored and grounded. Highly recommend to anyone in the area at any level of practice. read more

I went to this studio almost daily for a month when I was staying at my grandparent's in Verona. The classes were a good size. I always had enough room to move. I liked all of the teachers. My favorite was Janine. Her yoga teaching style was a great workout and relaxing at the same time. She was one of the best yoga teachers I've had in my 7+ years of practicing.
