I took my first class yesterday with Sara. I didn't have much experience with Pilates and I mostly do crossfit workouts. Sara was so supportive in orienting me with the reformer machine, showing me how to correct each move and remaining patient. I was trying my best and the class was difficult! I love that they sell grip socks at the store as these are a lifesaver. They did cost $18 but I will gladly use them again in the future when I attend another pilates class. I really had a great experience, the give out free water bottles and the atmosphere and music really exuded good vibes! Oh baby this was an AMAZING WORKOUT TODAY!! It was great meeting Ellen today who runs the studio because she does an excellent job. I have been reluctant on trying this out because I always thought this kind of workout was geared more toward women but boy was I wrong. This was a FULL TOTAL WORKOUT, and I will be hurting tomorrow! If you want a core, leg, and arm workout all in one in addition to a quick, fun workout come try PILATES PLUS OUT! The instructor today (Alejandra) was extremely helpful for me as well because you need to have good form, and help learning the correct movements and techniques. My wife has been coming to Pilates Plus for years now and I am excited to start working out here much more! I was very pleased with the customer service here. I walked in through a Class Pass booking for the MegaBurn 40 class, not realizing it was a reformer class. I had never done reformer before this class. When I told Katie, the woman who greeted me and who subsequently taught the class, she didn't give me any attitude or make me feel like I shouldn't be there. She was like, no problem, come on in! I loved it! It's a very unique was of moving. Using the reformer machine, you feel like you're doing the movements of a dancer on a machine at the gym. The space is clean and very boutique. Only a stones throw from Santa Monica, you can feel posh in Malibu doing Pilates! It's located on the second floor and they offer parking ONLY on the second floor. Ok so I tried this place and Pilates for the first time on Monday and you know how you are supposed to feel sore two days after... well Whoa! I didn't know i exercised so many different muscles in my body. I had so much fun, I was very much challenged but like the sign in the studio says: if you are not challenged, you will have no change. I'm excited to come back here more often and make this my regular practice. Wanted to like this workout, but I was not greeted by front desk because she was having a casual conversation with someone that seemed to be leaving from the previous class. So I did not get to check in, even though I stood there waiting for her conversation to be over. She straight up ignored me. It was my first time and I wasn't given any sort of intro to the equipment so I helped myself to a machine. Instructor didn't ask if anyone was a first timer and everyone seemed to be a local regular. The equipment is a bit tricky to get used to as it isn't a regular reformer. Every second of this class was intentional and well choreographed. Sara was a great facilitator as she kept me in the workout but also left room to modify if needed. I came into Pilates Plus for literally my second Pilates class ever. I'm in pretty good shape and workout frequently and was definitely challenged. I felt new areas of my body being worked and fatigued. It was also great how you could make modifications to suit different skill levels and the instructor too time to make sure we had proper form. If you want to work every muscle in your body, be super sore and have a super fun class, you have to do this class! I tried Pilates for the first time and fell in love with it! I was intimidated at first but the staff was so welcoming and the instructor helped me whenever I needed it. I can't stop telling people how great this class was and I've never been so sore, it's amazing! I couldn't recommend a class a more, please go try it!! I have had all different teachers there and they are all SO good. Even though I've gone a few times, I still struggle with some of the positions, but they are so attentive to helping me throughout the class each time I go. I had such a great experience as a "first-time" Pilates student. I was a bit nervous as I had not done much excercise since having my baby, and Pilates has always sounded very intimidating. But our instructor was able to guide me as a newcomer seamlessly those students you can't tell we're regulars. The excercise was exhilarating, exhausting and fine. I look forward to taking more classes. One thing to note is you must wear grip socks at this Pilates gym. Signed up for a class with the owner and was really excited to try a local Pilates class. Unfortunately it was not at all what I expected. I showed up to meet my friend for class and was 1 minute exactly late after parking in the lot. I walked into the studio where I quietly walked in waiting to be instructed. The owner proceeded to walk up to me and asked if I was signed up for the class to which I responded yes. She asked me if I was new and I responded that I was to which she rudely told me that I had to show up 15 min early since I was new and she would not let me take the class. There were only 3 people in the class including my friend. It was not busy whatsoever. It is one thing to have a 15 minute policy for those who are new which is understandable, however she did not accommodate whatsoever or even greet me with a slight smile. She was so incredibly rude to me in front of everyone. She never told me to reschedule or ever contacted me afterward. She basically just told me to get out. It was a prepaid class and she didn't even cancel the transaction and I was charged fully. Neither me or my friend will be returning and I hope she never treats anyone this way again. Disappointed to say the least. read more

Found this deal on Groupon. Tried it out and find that this is a very challenging class. It really gives a great workout. The studio is clean, the equipment is well kept, and the instructors are very understanding. I wouldn't say this class is the most awesome class ever but I have to say I really enjoyed the class. Audrey is the Best and she mixes up the workout from week to week so you'll never get bored. Although the class is extremely challenging and really makes your muscles burn, it is not too hard to follow along and go at your own pace. I've become addicted to this workout that has changed my body in a matter of 2 weeks. I started over a year ago and just cant get the same results with other workouts. I've since become pregnant, and depend on Pilates Plus to keep me in shape (and more importantly, prepare me for child birth). I have terrible back pain from my first pregnancy and this workout is the CURE to my back pain. If I didn't do it, I'd be in physical therapy! Well... this place is hands down THE BEST pilates studio and I have been to well.. A LOT! Honestly I use to go here two years ago and my body changed so much (I went four days a week religiously). For financial reasons I had to stop going, but times are different now and today is going to be my first time back.
