I do not recommend this store. I went in and made a three dollar purchase and 30 minutes after I had left they had tried To charge my debit card $100 without my knowledge. Just hit this place yesterday on our way from California to Arizona. Grabbed 6-pack of their Cinnabons amd was told that they put extra icing on the cold ones. We get home i find that theres hardly anything on them! Talk about a rip off! read more

This place is kinda gross. But it IS a truck stop with hundreds of people coming in at all times. I really Pilot would power wash everything outside. The ground in the parking lot smell like urine. Inside, I would love to find some healthy food, but that isn't going to happen. Its all about taking your money and not a place to relax. You stop, fuel, food, move on, I get that. This is our usual pitstop to refuel ourselves and our vehicles on long road trips. The gas is not overpriced. The restrooms are always clean and kept well stocked with toilet paper. There are two XLerator hand dryers in the restroom. A sticker on the bottom says "feel the power". And feel it you will. There are a plethora of snack food options, including Takis and Cinnabon cinnamon rolls, and even more drink options. The coffee was inexpensive and actually pretty decent. If you're looking for more substantial food there is a Subway Sandwiches restaurant attached to the building, too. The sandwiches there are good, though the employees push too hard to get you to add on expensive extras. The truck stop carries a lot of other things as well, and even has showers and other facilities for truckers. read more

I give this place a 5 because of the thought put into the placement of the toilet paper. At first I had a hard time looking for it and I was starting to get angry at myself for picking a stall without any. Then I looked up and right at shoulder level at the seated level is the toilet paper. So you pull down and the toilet paper could never ever touch the floor. On the drive from LAS to SCK i usually stop a few places along the way to take on some liquid, eliminate some liquid, feed the car or just stretch. I have always avoided this place because it is usually pretty busy. We saw a subways sign on their building so decided to stop for a sandwich. After eating made a pit stop and picked up a supertanker softdrink and a giant coffe (under $4.) They have lots of cold and hot drink choices and the usual road snacks. A refreshing outpost of civilization in the desert, situated where the 395 meets the 58. If you find your way out to Vegas, Death Valley, Bakersfield and beyond - this is a "must" as a pit stop. I've been here a few times on my various travels, and have found this Pilot Truck Stop to be almost always busy and bustling. Despite this, the workers here always seem to be helpful and friendly - despite that they are living in Boron (of all places). The restrooms here are usually very clean and well-stocked, and they come in and check/clean things at least once an hour - if not more. They have a large selection of food, drinks and snacks - and a variety of items to appeal to the truckers they service. They even feature fresh Cinnabons and a Subway if you are in the mood for "real food". A simple review, for sure - but this is a simple place...done well. VEGAS BABY!! I do not know how, or why, but this gas station is the perfect stop when driving from the bay area to Vegas. Even if all you need are snacks and no gas this is the road trip stop to make. Well, lit, very open area to park. Even though they are always super busy. They have plenty of bathrooms to use for both boys and girls. And snacks enough for the trucker in all of us. All in all I recommend this place as the perfect car and body refueling station to or from Vegas. read more

Hate this place. I get a fraud alert on my credit card every time I attempt to buy fuel here. Nowhere else in the country does this happen. Their solution is to pay inside, guess how much gas you need to fill, and refund your card the difference 3 or 4 day. I never use pilot if their is ANY other option. 1 star rating only because I was unable to select zero star rating. read more

Horrible experience ever! Was on a long drive at night and stopped for a soda. After I got the soda from the fridge, i went to the other part of the store to look at other things they had, maybe buy a little gift for someone. But I instantly was singled out by their employee CATHY and she kept standing uncomfortably close to me and probably was assuming I was going to steal something. She stood very close to me for 30 secs more and I stopped shopping and looked at my cell so maybe she would leave. Dont know if it was a race thing because Im mexican or just the gym clothes I was wearing. I've been to this Pilot a few times on my way between Nor Cal and Las Vegas. It's a pretty big truck stop in the middle of nowhere. They have a nice selection of convenience foods, and it's fairly clean. It also boasts a Subway if you want slightly healthier, fresher food. There are a decent number of gas pumps so the wait's not bad to get fuel. There does tend to be a line for the bathroom but not too bad. read more

The only stop we make when we go to Las Vegas. Pretty much our mid point to fill up the tank and then drive all the way through. It's big, has a subway inside and always busy hint the name truck stop. However I would say make the women's restroom bigger because, since its busy and a lot of people stop there, us woman would have to wait forever long especially when you really have to go. Other than that just another pit stop on a road trip. read more

The yelp location is off like 5 miles west, head east. Just continue on highway 58 to the crossing and there is a chevron, pilot and shell i think but yea had 30 miles left on my tank and was searching in boron (local town) for this gas station and had to call and have them tell me its 5 miles away. This stop in the desert is always busy. Fuel prices are reasonable, and there's a store full of snacks and drinks. When I have been there the restrooms decent for the traffic involved. Several times I have ran into aquaintences. from Bakersfield there, traveling to Las Vegas usually. I have been stopping here for years. If you are hungry and trying to make time, Subway is inside grab your sandwich and haul ass. read more

Not only was I treated like I was an interruption, but after needing to ask for a bag, I had to bag my own groceries.

It is always a positive when a truck stop supplies healthy alternatives, and this one does so with a Subway sandwich shop, as well as the usual Pilot merchandise. However, their facility is a bit on the small side considering the amount of traffic they garner. If they upgraded the parking facilities with a few more acres of truck parking, it would be a vast improvement. read more

On me requesting her to speak politely, she counter argued harsh and called her manager. I explained manager the situation and I don't think it even makes any difference. read more

This place sells a LOT of stuff for a gas station. The gas is cheap, so I usually stop here. The candy and sodas are priced to see in doubles, but the prices are a little above average if you buy only one. The restrooms are in decent condition, but that's a pretty good thing for a place that gets TONS of travelers by the hour. For a place in the middle of nowhere, it's great for a quick rest stop. read more

Whenever driving up the 395 on my way to Mammoth Lakes to go snowboarding we always stop here to get gas, use the restroom, or get a candy and a drink and I dread it every time. The food and drinks are fine, including the Subway inside. When it comes to the restrooms however, its a whole different story. The restrooms are DISGUSTING!! Some urinals don't work (I saw poop in one of them, gross), sinks and counters are always dirty, hair all over the toilet, disgusting stalls, God knows what all over the floor, and so much more. As soon as you walk in you feel like you just got punched in the face by a NASTY smell. I feel like I want to VOMIT every time I walk in! I hate this place!! read more

This review is typical for all Pilot Truck Stops. Pilot's only interest is taking your money - period. They only stock cheap imported junk. Forget about collecting a rebate for personal purchases. Dependable fuel. Super busy. Men's restroom is a mobile trailer which is disgustingly smelly and dirty. This is a significant negative.

This pilot is in the middle of nowhere but it's clean and stocked. We broke down here last weekend with two small children and honestly the stereotype of desert dwelling people and truckers crossed my mind while we waited for AAA in the heat. First I cannot say enough good things about Damien, who works at Pilot. He was compassionate and kind. He went out of his way to see if he could help us as he was out completing his duties. He would check in with us as we waited for AAA. He offered to take my husband to the Autozone 30 minutes away to get a battery after his shift. This man was genuinely a wonderful person. It did not stop there. We had a few other travelers offer us aid and it was nice to see that not all humanity has gone the way of ignoring those in need of assistance. This Pilot must attract the good ones. It does get very crowded, but that is because every person passing through wants to stop here. If you are passing by this way and need snacks, a pit stop, or gas, this Pilot is the place to do it. If you stop by make sure to say hi to Damien, a real stand up guy! read more
