Only $2.99 per.

Does it pencil to go to Fernley for gas and avoid the Washoe County gas tax? (highest in the state) Sort of. My car gets just good enough gas mileage and has just a big enough tank to make it slightly cheaper. Don't forget the "scenic" drive is included. However, when I add Pilot's $2.00 for a coffee refill (no it is not Starbucks or Whole Foods, just priced like it) then it is not even worth it. So much for keeping the weary travelers eyes wide open with caffeine. Here the sticker shock would do the trick. By the way Sierra Sid's is free for a coffee refill and Jackson's is just $.99.

Convenient travel center, with clean bathrooms, plenty of space to park your vehicle, Wendy's and a casino on site, plenty of snacks, the corn dogs are yummy, the coffee station has all you need and a sink with soap to wash your hands and to rinse your reusable cup, thank you pilot management for that detail. Gas is cheaper here than in Reno and is easy in and out into the freeway, same price for cards or cash. Sign up for the rewards cards to get a bit of a discount.

This unique truckers stop gas station has it all. There are restrooms and showers. This gas station has a convenience store with a Wendy's and a Dairy Queen restaurant inside. The convenience store has icee like drinks. They also have a expresso machine with a multitude of choices like English Toffee Cappuccino,Mexican Hot Chocolate, or a Vanilla Latte. Or create your own with one of the variety of creamers, sweeteners, toppings and syrups. Did you know that Pilot Flying J also carries PJ fresh marketplace with fresh ingredients and to go food options? They have pizzas, soups, breakfast items and platters, salads, fresh fruits, grill items and and homestyle meal items such as meatloaf. I haven't tried any of these items but they did look good both in the store and on their website. Did you know that Pilot Flying J has a rewards program? Neither did I. All drivers with a professional or preferred loyalty account are eligible to receive a 3¢ gas or auto diesel discount when using the myPilot app. Simply download the app, create an account or log in, and start saving.

Pilot's Truck Stops Awesome Fountain drinks station

Pilot Travel Center When stopping at this location for either a quick drink or to top off on Fuel your always in for a surprisingly time. Whether it's good or bad but this visit was pleasant an because I stopped here for a quick drink. But when driving up the parking lot was crowded and the layout of the gas pumps an the parking for customers is kinda awkward but it's not too bad as long as you have people paying attention while driving. But when your finally able to park walking in the store is pretty well laid out. But when I walked in an grabbed a Soda, the fountain drinks is all digital it's pretty awesome! It's like messing with a roulette wheel on an app. Plus your also able to add special flavors to your beverage. (Cherry, Vanilla etc) My favorite is Dr.Pepper with a hint of Cherry an a double squirt of Vanilla it's so good. But one of the perks for the trucks to, is the App and their rewards card. You register with their rewards program you will be receiving ($.03 Off a Gallon) might not seem like a lot but it's a Saving as we head into the warmer weather and gas prices tend to start hiking. I had a pleasure visiting this location on a daily basis but is there bad and good, of course but until I find a bad, well keep it at 3 stars. Not 5 because not allot of things going on. But I recommended this stop

February 17, 2017 Friday - 5:30 PM for dinner 2 Adults Atmosphere - NA stars Food - 3 stars Service - 4 stars Background - Start of a long drive and grabbing some food. This Wendy's has an identity issue. It is on the side of the Pilot Travel Center but the receipt says Pilot not Wendy's. Yelp says it is Pilot too. Atmosphere - Went through the drive thru so not much to rate here. Food Drink - A small Coke, nothing to fancy here. Dinner - My standard Wendy's meal, a #6 a Spicy Chicken sandwich. The combo comes with fries or should I say the salt comes with French fries. I think I just got my sodium for the week. The sandwich was what I would expect. Service - What you would expect for a drive thru. Future - Maybe.

The new girl Yanna was really helpful and nice I always still for coffee and the Italian sausage on the grill it's excellent. Also the Wendy's is a nice touch if your tired of truckstop food. Get the Pilot app for some really good deals. Restrooms are really clean

The inside of the store was pretty empty, as far as people go. As we were looking around we see items on a tray individually wrapped and thawing out, notice wrappers all over the floors, trash is dirty, the self serve area for sugar and cream was dirty, the tables were dirty, the store was just dirty. Our order was simple, with customizations, still simple. Venti vanilla latte extra hot, add toasted coconut syrup. Chai tea, extra hot no classic add toasted coconut syrup. The order came, decently quick and was wrong. The drink was barely warm and was missing toasted coconut syrup and was made with coconut milk. Simple fix. We stepped outside and enjoyed the outdoor seating. A few moments later, my son appeared out of nowhere and walked up on us. We forgot he had our location and joined us. He asked us what we thought of this Starbucks and asked for an honest opinion. I stated what I stated above. I interrupted and asked him if he wanted a cup of coffee before heading back to work. "Mom I don't have it in me to wait 30-45 minutes to get my drink and it'll be wrong anyways, where I'm going there's a Starbucks there, I'll grab my drink, thank you though," was his reply. Fell inline with what we were thinking for our mid day cup. We carried on an entire conversation about how this is the MOST STAFFED and THE DIRTIEST SB we had all ever seen! It was shocking. Drink was fixed, we carried on with our day, but decided to skip coffee there the next morning and drove to Reno to get our coffee instead since we were heading that way. Will I return: NO.. glad my son moved into Reno! Have had great customer service all over Fernley, with one other exception.. so happy he has a few SB's that are staffed, very clean, and get the orders correct where he moved.

They had a four sauces available on the table to use with your meals. I preferred the sweeter BBQ sauce and my husband liked the more spicy and savory options. All were good and worked well with our order. The Cuban sandwich was a panini style and tasted very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our questions on the menu, beers, and Harvest Host requirements. This was a good stop on our trip.

I happened to be near McDonald's and noticed there were no waits or long lines, so I decided to grab a quick bite. The representative over the speaker was very pleasant, clear, and professional. Once I pulled up to the cashier window, I realized he was also the person who took my order -- and again, he was personable, welcoming, and genuinely kind. I made sure to let him know he was one of the better interactions I've had at this location. I usually try to avoid this McDonald's because of the lack of customer care I've experienced in the past, so I felt Osvy deserved recognition. He's a great representation of customer service and should definitely work the window more often. Per usual, they had me park and wait for the food, but Aspen was also very pleasant and actually thanked me -- which sadly seems rare nowadays. Usually team members just hand you the food and walk away. Overall, today was one of the better experiences I've had at this location. Great job, Osvy and Aspen!

Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. We hit the road and made it a great day.

I also find it frustrating to receive different responses from staff and to have takeout packaging vary from one visit to the next. I almost always order the same thing because they truly have the best taco salad. When I order it to go, I always request extra salsa and sour cream. However, the experience seems to vary each time--sometimes I receive pico de gallo, sometimes salsa, and sometimes neither of the items I asked for. I've also noticed that ordering late in the evening usually goes smoothly. The morning, afternoon, and early evening shifts seem to be where the experience is less consistent. At times, I hesitate before placing an order because I wonder whether it will be worth dealing with missing items again. It may seem like a small issue, but when it happens repeatedly, it becomes frustrating. Consistency matters, especially for loyal customers. I hope management can address these issues so every guest receives the same level of service, regardless of the time of day. On this particular night, Rogelio was very helpful in assisting the new cashier/server, Sydney. I also appreciate Sophie, who stepped in towards the end and helped keep things running smoothly. Sydney remained calm throughout, and even though she was obviously new, she was still pleasant and did a good job.

Since they…read moreloved visiting Reno (primarily for gambling purposes), they always got an amazing prime rib or lobster dinner for a very affordable price. This takes me to the city of Fernley, NV (about 30 minutes east of Reno) where I had the opportunity in trying out "Ranch House Restaurant". This restaurant is adjacent to the "Silverado Casino" which is only a small handful of operating casinos in the Fernley area. We were both very hungry as we ventured through South Lake Tahoe, Carson City, and Virginia City, our appetite grew as the evening went on. After checking into our nearby hotel (which was luckily 1/3 mile from here) and getting washed up, we made it to the restaurant at around 7:15pm on Friday 6/19/2026. Upon entry, the interior layout looks straight out of the 1970's complete with posh booth seating, wood panels, and brick walls in a very spacious dining area. This is quite reminiscent of the old school casino restaurants in the more prominent Reno casino restaurants; mainly Silver Legacy and Nugget. Once seated, we were given two menus and requested an iced water (for myself) and a Diet Coke (for her). One minor drawback which could be a make it or break it for many is that the internal temperature of this restaurant was quite cold. My guess is that it was only around 66°F so if you plan to dine-in, come dressed accordingly! I will say that the menu is quite extensive with ton of options to choose from. This includes appetizers, all-day breakfast, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and a lot of excellent entrée choices. After making my way through the entire menu of options, I settled with the "Grilled Salmon" entrée (priced at $18.99). This consisted of a house salad, a 6 oz. filet drizzled with balsamic glaze, steamed veggies (mainly zucchini and squash), and I opted for a baked potato (that came with butter & sour cream). She chose their "Old Fashioned Cheeseburger" (priced at $12.99) which came with lettuce, tomato, pickle, & onion on a brioche bun. She opted for cheddar as her choice of cheese and the burger came with a side of seasoned steak fries. Total time took roughly 15 minutes from when we placed our orders to when we received our food. I will say this; the food here is quite delicious. My salmon was a very thick cut and at less than $20 for a salad and full entrée, you absolutely get your moneys worth. The veggies had excellent texture while my baked potato was piping hot. This isn't a 5-star dining experience with a very no-frills atmosphere but it is your above average casino food that is eerily similar to other restaurants that are adjacent to casinos that I've dined at over the decades. Our waitress, Cassandra was very polite and professional while the ambiance, price, and food was definitely above average. My rating for "Ranch House Restaurant" in Fernley, NV is a respectable four stars.

The ribs were pretty good--tender and moist--but could have used a little more BBQ sauce. The coleslaw was tasty, and the baked beans were okay, though both were seasoned on the lighter side. Our server, Parker, was pleasant, attentive, and accommodated all of our requests. She did her best despite the restaurant appearing to be short-staffed. Overall, the experience was okay, but the restaurant could benefit from stronger management support and better staffing levels. Service quality is likely to be impacted if these challenges continue, and it already seemed like employee morale may be suffering. Hopefully the team receives the support they need, as there is still good potential here.
