I had the dark roast, black no sugar. It was one of the best coffee I ever had. Purchased some bread and two plain donuts. Sat outside on the rocking chairs and enjoyed my coffee and donuts. The good news is that The Hamilton Mercantile has risen from the ashes of the old general store, and it's a welcome breath of fresh air in a town that needs it. It's clean! And bright! They have nice tables! And since it's pretty much the only game in town for a lot of things, I'm glad they have tons of grocery staples (eggs, milk, butter, beer, hard seltzers, bread, canned food, peanut butter), toiletries, ice, candy, ice cream, and more. They've got lots of camping supplies, such as s'mores ingredients, propane, wood, camping chairs, charcoal, fishing gear, hand warmers, tarps, bug spray, matches, etc, as well as toiletries and tylenol and toys and floaties and charging cords and clothing and gifts and a lot of other things you never knew you needed. I'm particularly happy that they have Boar's Head meat that they sell by the pound, as well as make sandwiches. A girl eating at one of the cute little tables had herself a good-looking breakfast sandwich too, and there's also a pretty extensive pizza and wings menu now too. Haven't had the pleasure of eating any of those yet, but I'm sure it'll happen soon. Best of all, they sell lottery tickets. And when I win the $1.5 billion mega millions tonight, I believe The Hamilton Mercantile gets $1 million for selling me the winning ticket. And I think they deserve it.

Having recently been rebuilt, it's better than ever. They even have a BEER CAVE now (AKA a large refrigerated room chock full of craft beer, domestics, imports, and local brews). Prices are reasonable and the convenient location can't be beat. Their cold brew iced coffee is delicious and absolutely crushes Starbucks or other "fancy" coffee shops. And get this: employees have equity in the company. How cool is that? Skip the rest stop and pull off Exit 29 instead.
