The greens are kept in perfect shape with no ruffled turf, loose bricks, piles of leaves, etc. The (very blue) waterfall was working and added ambiance. Scattered throughout the course are interesting pirate vignettes and facts, and the caves and bridges added to the experience. The course itself is a bit different from most others. Many courses add artificial challenges (sand bunkers, gravel areas, missing sidewalls near water, windmills, etc.) to make it difficult. Here, every hole is straightforward. And most of them are short. Therefore, it is best to approach it as each hole could (should?) be doable as a hole-in-one. And I got two, my friend got another two, and everyone around us was getting them. Does that mean the course is too easy? No, not at all. But, it isn't a course where you should be taking more than 2-3 putts to get it in the cup. There are no dogleg holes, etc. which add length. Some of the holes have fun twists. I won't give away the surprises, but there were several areas that led to good (and bad!) unexpected results. Play it out and you will see what I mean. The staff were friendly, and they had at least six different sized putters making it possible to get the perfect fit. The prices ($13) were certainly reasonable and comparable to other courses. It was packed on Saturday on a holiday weekend, but because the holes are so short everything kept on flowing nicely. Overall, a wonderful course.

Never crowded, shaded with benches, and holes are challenging but still manageable for children. To the owners thank you very much for designing a course that is handicap accessible. We stay in the Lake George area and drive to Lake Luzerne because mini golf courses are a dime a dozen, but no one cares enough to make simple designs that work for EVERYONE. It dragged a little because we had two groups, one of 8 and the other 6 even though it says no groups larger than 5 but on the scorecard it has room for 6 names, so go figure. Anyway, on to the course, which was in pretty good shape overall, but like I said before, it's small. It's a good place to kill about 90 minutes or so and, if you're lucky enough, you can win a free game(which doesn't expire) like I did. Oh and the wife did hit a hole in one again during this game, but ultimately lost again! I'm 3 for 3 in games for anyone keeping score. They also have batting cages if that's your thing and a place to just hang out.

There are 2 Pirates cove locations in the greater lake George region, this one has 2 18 hole courses, the other only has one course. Pirates Cove has 2 18 hole park style course, think bigger greens with more elevation changes than obstacles to avoid, so it is slightly different than the other courses in the area. The course here are well themed, well landscaped, and in great condition. All of the courses make use of elevation changes, the water features and even the existing trees at this location. Because of these trees there is plenty of shade even on sunny days. They even have a hole on a big pirate ship. The only down side to this location is some of the holes are repeated at many mini golf courses. You will definitely have already played some of the holes you will play here. So it is not as unique as some of the other area courses. Overall of the 2 Pirates Cove locations in the area this would be my recommendation of the location to play, I think that the course at the other one is better, but because this spot has 2 I would rather play here. Either way you can not go wrong.

It's just as I remembered! Bonus addition, Voss' BBQ now has a location here too! Palm springs is a great mini golf course. Upon entry there is ample parking in a private lot. Walk down a short path to the Voss' BBQ order window. Just past that is a covered pavilion with ample picnic table seating. At the end of the path is the mini golf rental hut. Everything here is cash only, but there is an available ATM. The course itself is great fun for all ages. It has challenges, even for adults! There is gorgeous landscaping everywhere! You can really tell they put a lot into it. There are nice water features and a few places for photo ops including a giant Adirondack chair! There currently is no Par 3, but wondering if they eventually plan to reopen that too?! Everything is very clean, friendly staff, and very reasonable prices!
