We had an opportunity to get a vehicle a few months earlier from a bigger city but opted to continue to work with Garrett because we were so impressed with his professionalism and wanted to keep our money local. Last night, I hit a fallen road sign hidden in the snow after pulling off a one lane road to let an oncoming car pass. It led to a flat tire. When we had difficulty locating the spare, I sent a text message to Garrett. He indicated that he was in Charleston and came to us immediately, where he not only found the spare tire but proceeded to change out the flat tire in his suit on the dirty, wet, icy ground. He ensured that the service team knew that we would be coming in first thing today for repairs and made sure that a loaner vehicle was available. The tire was repaired within a few hours. During a holiday season when consumers and salespeople are tired, stressed and not always at their best, I wanted to highlight what a great job Garrett Lee at KC Summers in Mattoon has done for us.

They have turned into nothing but scam artists. Avoid this dealer at all costs, you'll be screwed on a trade, after they damage your car!

Then to top it off, the guy who assessed my challenger(Pilson fords own general manager) parked the challenger on a parking block(any challenger sits to low to go over these) so the bumper dragged on and off the parking block, now the bumber is hanging underneath the car! So now I have to go to a body shop to see what kind of damage they caused, and to have it repaired by a body shop, is going to cause the value of my challenger to go down anymore, making my car basically impossible to trade in anywhere!!!!!! Do not recommend, will never be back after this. No deal made, and DAMAGED my car to boot. Thanks for that HORRENDOUS experience today.... I replied to email last week, here we are, 5 days later, and no response back. Pilsons really isn't worried when they cause damage to your car, or just tell you the can't work out a deal for you. Again, DONT USE THIS DEALER. After probably 20 purchases with this dealer, it's rough to say, but they don't care about customers or trades anymore. Received a call from Drew, basically just an apology, and they want their body shop to fix any damage, while trying to tell me the challenger didn't touch the parking block. Once again, do not use this dealer! Trying to say they didn't damage my Challenger! Stay far far far away from this place!!!! I was told if I left a $100 deposit down on the car they would hold it. A few hours later they called and I was told the car was already sold. There was no sign on the car, saying it was sold, we were allowed to take it out for a test drive, the car was listed as "inventory" on-line and we were told it was ours for the deposit I left. They then tried to get me to buy a different car. Either this is very shady business practice, or they are so inept they do not have system for tracking what cars have sold, or not. Extremely upset and angry that I wasted all that time there, and should have found a more reputable dealer to work with. The old "switch and bait." I do not trust these people.

I brought it back and politely pointed it out. The response? "I don't have anyone to look at it. Bring it back another time." So I did. I rearranged my schedule and took time off work to come back. This time, I was told that GM wouldn't approve fixing it unless the part was broken. Not missing. Not reinstalled incorrectly. Just broken. Apparently, restoring something to the condition it was in before their techs touched it is beyond their responsibility. Out of curiosity, I called another dealership. They had no issue addressing the problem--because they understand how customer service is supposed to work. That leaves me with three possible conclusions about the person I dealt with: He's lazy and unwilling to take ownership. He's uninformed and unqualified. Or he's lying to customers to avoid doing his job. None of these options instill confidence. All of them guarantee I won't be back.

They were able to get my…read morecar in the same day (Friday at 3pm but I dropped my car off around 12pm and left the keys in the vehicle as I needed to get to work before 3pm), which was nice considering how many other places weren't available until several days or even weeks later. They were kind and helpful with a quote, and made some minor fixes (e.g. added more steering wheel fluid) even though I ended up not getting the repairs fixed with them. I'm giving four stars only because I felt communication regarding status and expectations was comparably less helpful/effective than with other places in my personal experience. Specifically, I wasn't called to know what the status of my car was, I had to call them; and they also didn't ask me for any contact information initially (I left my contact information with my keys in the vehicle but I am unsure if they noticed). It also seems like they don't work by appointment, it's more like a first-come-first-serve basis, which is fine except I didn't know that; since I was told it would be assessed at 3pm was expecting an assessment that day or the following day by phone call. My car didn't receive a full assessment until Monday and I wasn't given the actual quote until Tuesday morning. I'm sure they are very busy and I'm thankful they were able to help me with the quote, I just wish there would have been better communication about their service process and regarding my car's assessment needing to be pushed back. It's my only car and I had to scramble to arrange alternate transportation for Monday and Tuesday. However it was an overall good experience with Chad when we did communicate. I did not get my car fixed with them because I am going to buy a new car instead.
