When meeting with us, he was able to assess the project and take charge of it, making insightful recommendations along the way to help improve what we had in mind and also make it more affordable by making alternate suggestions. Right from the demolition of our old kitchen up until completion of our new one, he prioritized our project. He cleaned up on a daily basis, leaving our house in the best shape possible. He is an experienced electrician and performed expert work, including suggesting additional personalized touches, e.g. under-counter lighting options, USB outlets, etc ... the little extras that we utilize and appreciate on a daily basis. He explained all the steps along the way, repeatedly providing us a with a couple of days notice when we needed to make a decision, such as our preference for laying tile, or where we wanted lighting fixtures located, and all the other necessary decisions. Tony inspected all the new cabinets, tiling, appliances and lighting fixtures as they arrived and dealt with our suppliers if something needed attention. He was dependable, with a cheerful disposition, excellent workmanship and attention to detail. He fixed a ceiling design problem that the architect overlooked and worked with me and the city to redesign it at his own expense. He went above and beyond my expectations, for example installing a linear (curbless) shower with excellent tile work. Everything from the windows, walls and doors, etc. were installed square and solidly. He also built a custom bench in the mudroom which has received many complements for its unique, beautiful and ergonomically comfortable design. I am a very fussy and detail oriented homeowner--hard to please. I fired two previous contractors for sloppy work. But, in my experience, Vando and EENN Construction demonstrate professionalism of the highest caliber, and I would recommend them wholeheartedly for both small and large construction jobs.

Victor's team are all highly skilled and take pride in their work. They demolished the old porch, removed all debris, and built us a brand new one. They fixed the siding the old one had messed up. They replaced the gutters with new ones. They patched up the newly-exposed part of the chimney. Every last detail. I also didn't have to hassle Victor to get a permit; he just did it. Which is such a baseline expectation it shouldn't make him stand out amongst his competition. Sadly, it very much does. Whenever you take on a home remodeling project like this, you have a picture in your mind of what you want. For this project, we had really specific ideas, a mix of old and new, materials and techniques. Which is normal. And it never turns out that way. Not once in all the renovation and rebuilding projects I've done over the years. Reality just doesn't live up to imagination. So I don't know how to put this in terms that will communicate how rare and remarkable it is. Our porch is exactly right. It is exactly what we wanted, and looks exactly how we imagined it. I don't think there's any possible stronger recommendation I can give than that. We couldn't be happier.
