As always, my experience at Piluso Vineyard was the highlight of my day. Sandy is a skilled vintner, as well as a genuinely nice person. Her husband, Pinky, is pretty cool, too. Beautiful, peaceful vineyard, garden, and tasting room. Sandy, the winemaker was lovely, helpful and enthusiastic. Honestly I could have taken home a bottle of each wine we tasted and been quite happy. Her port, Madeline, stole my heart. It tasted like the ports my friend would bring back from her visits to Portugal. Full of flavor, a true sipping pleasure. Madeline is the best use of a Marechal Foch I've experienced. I can't wait to go again and share this lovely destination with friends and family. read more

This was not a good experience. We arrived this weekend and were greeted with, "the tasting fee is $5." We said, "okay" and was told again that "the tasting fee is $5." We asked if we needed to pay before the tasting and was told, "yes." We thought that was odd as the rest of the vineyards along the Cascade Foothills wanted you to pay after in case you bought wine and would often waive the tasting fee if wines were bought. The wine for purchase was expensive, and more expensive than other vineyards around the area. The pours were inconsistent from the two ladies that were doing the pouring. We were given very small pours, while the other lady was pouring extremely large tastings. There appeared to be food located around the very small tasting room, but there was not information provided on if the food was free or if we needed to pay. It was a very uncomfortable experience and we did not feel like we were treated as nicely as all the other people in the tasting room were. We are in our late 20s and the rest of the people in the room were adults in their late 40s. The ladies doing the pours interacted with the larger parties more than us, and we rushed through the tasting so we could get out and go someplace different. I would not recommend this vineyard as one to see along the Cascade Foothills. We had much better experiences with all the other vineyards and fortunately we saved this one for last. read more

What a fabulous little boutique estate winery! Pudding River Wine Cellars referred us to Piluso, and we even drove 20 minutes back out of the way to visit, totally worth the drive. Rylee (Granddaughter to the wine maker) poured for us, she was lovely, informative, and helpful. Can't wait to visit again. Cute little tasting room, beautiful home garden. read more

Beautiful little winery with a very small, cozy tasting room. There are some very good wines here also. As for the host, I wasn't impressed (older gentlemen, long gray hair). He openly scolded my friend and I in front of other customers for rinsing our glasses between pours...embarrassing. We are novice wine tasters and this was a real turn off. He also made an attempt at humor when he poured the remainder of the bottle before he got to my friend and told my friend, "I guess you are outta luck." He did this twice, not funny the first time, less funny the second time. Four people in my party, we all felt he was inappropriate. Too bad, because I am a local and this is a nice winery. On that note, my wife has been there on previous visits and told me the owner Sandy is very nice and welcoming. read more

Great little Vineyard fine example of Italian wines being made in Oregon yes the wine is a little pricey but well worth it lovely people who run this establishment generally open only on the weekends so if you don't mind spending a few bucks on a quality bottle of wine if come to the right spot if you buy a bottle of wine I am sure they might forego the $5 tasting fee so by a couple of bottles they're my neighbors read more

Visited on the first Saturday they were open in 2014. Excellent wines that were poured by the winemaker herself. Very charming tasting room and really delicious wine. This was my first visit and I will be back. The tastings were complimentary with no pressure to purchase. We actually ended up buying a bottle as did everyone else in our group. read more

The grounds of Piluso & the restored home are lovely. The tasting room is very attractive & well-staffed. The wines I tasted were deliciously paired with assorted appetizers. The owner is a real inspired winemaker. Easy to find, right off Hwy 22 near Aumsville. read more

i met the owner and winemaker Sandee; I liked the fact that she tasted the wines first to make sure they were of good quality; I was impressed with the whites more than the reds but all of them were really good; very unique winery with a rustic setting (reminded me of my house).
