There are 2 different areas where the classes are taught one in the back and one in the middle section. The website has a description of each class that is offered as well as the requirements that you need to bring for the class. The ability to walk out with a project that you learned how to make is priceless. I highly recommend going to a class at My New Favorite Thing or just going shopping. Because it was a chilly day Kelly had heaters out which helped for outside but it was toasty inside. She was also present the whole event, and greeted everyone who came. She's very hands on that's what makes her so great! This was my 3rd visit to this shop, and 3rd time walking out with purchases. I always love what I get here(otherwise I wouldn't buy it!) I took a friend this time and she spent well over $100!! She told me she was impressed with not only the merchandise but the prices. We both left there happy. There were a couple different raffles that day and I actually won one of them!! I grew up in Lake Orion and came back for a visit this weekend. It was the first time in a very…read morelong time that I had gone downtown to go shopping. I was so excited to see new shops and boutiques had opened up and was very impressed with Simply Marcella. Simply Marcella is the ultimate girly girl boutique, right down to the fact that they have a liquor license so you can drink wine while you shop. There are also a few things for the men as well, but most (as my husband did) would probably prefer to sit in the comfy chairs in the center of the store while us ladies do our thang. There was a lot to look at from wines to purses to clothes and jewelry. What immediately caught my eye was their selection of black pearls. The owner's sister was quick to help me and very knowledgeable about the pieces. She was super friendly and great to talk to. In the end, it was love at first sight with a simple black pearl necklace. My husband then became very helpful and got off the couch!
